Please read and compare what Jesus said versus your book. They do not match up. Jesus is a part of the Holy Trinity and died for our sins. He did not die in order for us to do good acts to bring us to Heaven. You cannot earn your way in to heaven through acts.
You mean 2Nephi 24 10? "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved."
You read the New testament in the Bible and Read the Book of Mormon with an open heart, you will know for yourself that Jesus is the God of both Books.
@@user-yo5ht6hm7q they are not the same God. Even Gordon B Hinckley said that the Christian God and Mormon God are different. Mormon beliefs are polytheistic which means they believe in many Gods (hence the belief that you can become a God and Goddess of your own world,) and that is why you must earn your own salvation so you can be in the celestial kingdom. Christian’s are monotheistic, meaning they believe in one god (God says in the Bible that he is the one and only god. None come before or after him.) This means there is a huge difference already. Something about Mormons is that they often have not read the Bible (and refuse to ever,) as a singular document, with no other doctrinal influences. They must ALWAYS, add the Mormon teachings to it. I always encourage any mormon to try to read the Bible as if no other doctrines exist because they do not give it a fair chance otherwise.
@@kittiemarie1235 I am a Mormon that reads both the new testament and Book of Mormon, Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the old testament. Jehovah and Jesus Christ are the same God of both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. LDS belief and faith is different than Christianity. However, within Christianity there are many interpretations of who God is. It all comes down to the Johovah/Jesus Christ. There is one belief system in the LDS faith, where there are many in Christianity. Even the Roman Catholic Church and other break off faiths were founded on the belief of Jesus Christ. Just keep in mind, it is up to the individual to find truth by the spirit and follow it. Not by just anyone who claims they know Jesus Christ.
@@user-yo5ht6hm7q it is also important to teach the true Gospel of Christ. Joseph Smith exalted himself even above Jesus. He boasted that he had done more than him. (History of the Church volume 6 p 408.) If you know the doctrine of Christ as you should, you would know that nobody could do more than Jesus. And yet Joseph Smith claimed he had accomplished more than even Jesus! In the Bible it says we are saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ because our works are not sufficient to save us. This was also to prevent boasting. (Ephesians 2: 8-9, James 4:16.) Considering just this information, something is not right. I am an ex Mormon and for many more reasons than this one. The doctrine is different, the religion is not a true religion of Jesus Christ but perhaps a religion following the God of the world. I know all to well the feelings I thought were true. But when my eyes were opened to the truth I was shown what and who really runs the Church. If there is anything you do please read your Bible as a singular word of God and disregard Mormon teachings from its contents so that you can sincerely understand what it is speaking of. I do not say this to hurt you. Only to warn you that time is short and we must believe in the truth and not in false promises.
