I saw SLAYER early days, back very early 80's and i'm so proud about them. I do like Death, Thrash and of course Heavy Metal music, but I confess: The heaviest concert among all bands is, no doubt, SLAYER. No heavy sceneries, no heavy lights, no puppets, only the strongest metal force. It's still very impressive how fucking heavy music 4 guys could be!
Slayer esta recorriendo el camino que lo llevara a que solo lo recordemos por sus excelentes temas clásicos. Sin Jeff y Lombardo se va la esencia de la banda.
THANK YOU! Somebody else that understands that!! Man, I thought I was starting to think I was the only one! How does one NOT headbang at Slayer? lol Man, you just made my night better.
Metallica have come back recently. Their last album was very good imo and their live performances have been absolutely phenomenal. Lars is keeping up, Kirk is now playing his solos in tune and Jame's voice is as good as it has been since the early 90's.
I love metallica, slayer and megadeth.. And most metallica fans are like me.. Here the fans are terrible and sure not because they are metallica fans.. Go check Metallica's concert and check.. Same shitty fans
@@arisgtr7753 most people in Sweden who attend a Metallica concert might like them. But are not necessarily metal fans in general I bet most people in this crowd never even have heard of slayer......
@@JeeeeeZ289 What??? I don't even know how you go about it... I've never been raised on Slayer nor ever been their biggest fan, but I for sure can name quite a few songs from them (a bare minimum of 10, if not more)... If you go watch the Big 4, at least check out what the other bands have to offer before attending the concert. Obviously, not their entire discographies, but some of their biggest hits at least... even out of respect???
empirikal09 I was on 3 Slayer concerts here in my country (Hungary), and trust me, there was a pit...even when they played after megadeth where a lot of puss*es stayed on the front lines. When world painted blood started; the war had begun, and only the fittest stayed to fight. ps: europe is not boring FU sir =]
EU has some really good crowds. This one was just bad. empirikal09 wft is your problem. Im european too. Have you ever been to Europe at a metal concert?
02:40 the fill is an perfect example of Lombardo's superiority. Not only a fast fill but creative in such a limited amount of space/time. Try to repeat it. It will take a lot longer than you think to nail it stroke for stroke, and for him it is instinctive. Hence his superiority
I know right! I wish I could go to a Big 4 show, their were shows here in the U.S. but were too far from where I live. :/ Well, at least I saw Slayer at Mayhem Fest this summer.
@@dinobambino7724Mate Slayer's solos are meant to create chaos and tension. If they made a clean and melodic solo, it will totally undermine the subject matter of the song and their solos strangely fits their music so I don't mind their solos.
@@arvindshastry1178 i know and understand everything you said, slayer tone and style is not good for melodic solos, but you still have totally shred solos that are awesome like mustaine solo in holy wars, five magics final solo, metallica's battery, and the best solo in earth eruption by van halen
Honestly...out of every single different live performance of this song I've heard, this performance is my very favorite. That opinion is mostly due to Tom's voice. It's dead-on.
I agree but what I hate myself for is that when I was on the big 4 i only listened to metallica so I did not give the other bands a chance but if the concert had been today then I would have been there to listen to all of the bands, not just metallica, the thing is that without metallica, I would never listened to the 3 other bands in the big 4. So you can hate how much you want on Metallica but nothing can change my view of them and the other bands. peace from sweden
This song is so fast and I'm so far past my prime that I struggle to keep up even with the tempos as they were on the Show No Mercy album when I play this on my guitar. (Note: not the guitar in my profile pic. My Jackson Randy Rhoads with a Floyd Rose).
I said I haven't heard much. About an albums worth but I'm into some Venom, Sodom, and the Big 4. If not Thrash, it's precursor-Motorhead. Umm . . . Bonded By Blood (their classic) and Excibit B. Gotcha. Thanks, man.
What people are failing to notice is that this was a Metallica gig. It was put together by their management . All bands agreed to go on because of the exposure and the magnitude of the festival. You think Slayer can gather 90.000 fans in one place? Think again. With the exception of festivals like download and rock am ring heavy metal has been declining for a long time, and bands like Megadeth and Slayer are forced to play smaller venues. This isn't the 90's anymore
They just stand there. Nothing happens . This is SLAYER. Dance pogo do anything! A boring Swedish nation. They produce so much cool music. For whom, fans are passive.
