People think that because they're called amendments that they're all subject to amending. The 2nd amendment is clear. Even without that, the right to self preservation is basic among all life, let alone human rights. The only valid weapon law is that it's illegal to use a weapon to commit a crime. Possession alone cant be made a crime.

@@brahtrumpwonbigly7309 Exactly. A problem with gun control is criminals dont following and non violent people are arrested for using their rights, or they give up their rights to avoid jail time. Imagine this court case.... I fail background checks because I have a misdemeanor assault charge. I argue that I was falsely charged with domestic violence, and I took a plea deal to lower it to assault and I did my probation. I was scared into taking the plea deal by my free lawyer who told me the judge is biased against DV cases. So, I'm "not supposed to" own a firearm. If I use a firearm in a 100% obvious case of self defense, how would the court handle the "illegal possession of a weapon" part? If I the shoot is ruled justified but I am charged because I'm not suppose to have a gun, isnt that denying my right to self preservation? If I were found not guilty, doesn't that prove the law arbitrary? Imagine being told that you cant own a gun, but because you used it for good, it's ok. Anyone arrested for such reasons, ae should be protesting the verdicts and getting them out

People who don't support absolute gun rights are equal to those who support slavery and are against any people voting. I dont care what their argument is. It's useful to understand it to counter it, but as far as considering it, absolutely not. The only valid weapon law is that it's illegal to use a weapon to commit a crime. And if you aren't willing to see the other side, and see opposition as objects instead of people, then you are no better. You cannot fight if you don't know what you are fighting against. That is one of the biggest fallacies in today's society: not wanting to see what is on the other side. John playing devil's advocate brings a more full and knowledgeable conversation.

I did not know how welcoming the gun community was until I started getting into firearms many years ago. Very welcoming and excited for others to join and learn about firearms together. So many want to help others about firearms but the LEFT demonizes us so people stay quiet about having firearms and talking to others about them. I can absolutely agree. Once I went to the range. I wasn't feeling too well but I had taken the day off and had planned it. I paid, got to my lane and started my warmups. I got about 10 rounds in and I knew I wasn't going to make it. I quickly packed up and made it out to my car. Right as I got there I doubled over gagging. Two different pairs of shooters ran over to find out if I was okay. One guy went in and the manager came out to check on me and brought me water. It was Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas, Virginia. That made me smile. A bad day for me, but a good day for gun owners.

Well done John! So refreshing to hear intelligent, well-spoken individuals speaking truth and correctly hitting all the salient pro-2A points. So often I find myself shaking my head at the missed opportunity when firearm "experts" are interviewed and come up short bkz they don't understand their audience. Instead of correcting misnomers, knowing the facts and educating . . . they dwell on minor talking points and often concede or poorly address the interviewers subtle and at times overt prejudices. We need more pro-2A ambassadors like you John and all of your outstanding panel guests. We need to find a way to make your collective voices heard mainstream. Thank you.

I totally agree with you. Here in Brazil we had a really sad recent case where a guy invaded a daycare facility for children with a katana and killed a teacher and 4 small kids. Since gun carry is forbidden in Brazil, no one was able to stop him.

Delta-p is a clown All criminals are reformed after their sentence No one should be deprived of inalienable rights without due process If incarceration doesn’t rehabilitate criminals that system needs reform. Mental health issues are not all long term. You can get angry or sad, have a breakdown. Once institutionalized you can never own firearms again, this is BS If a mental illness would prevent gun ownership, that person needs to be in assisted living eg mental asylum

I put this together a couple years ago... Pre-2A "assault weapons" which Dems and RINOs would ban today 1. Ribauldequin (1339) - up to 144 barrels - rate of fire: auto (mass volley) 2. Danish flintlock (1646) - 30-round tube magazine - lever action 3. Kalthoff repeater (1650) - up to 30-round mag - rate of fire: 60 rounds/minute 4. Cookson flintlock (1650) - up to 30-round mag - rate of fire: "will fire as quick as you please" (per ad in Boston Gazette April 12th, 1756) 5. Puckle gun (1718) - 32mm small artillery (1.25 caliber) - 11-round detachable mag - rate of fire 9 rounds/minute (3x musket) 6. Belton flintlock (prior to 1777) - 20-round detachable mag - rate of fire: full-auto burst (20 rounds/5 seconds) 7. Girandoni air rifle (1779) - 22-round detachable mag - rate of fire: 60 rounds/minute - outfitted Lewis and Clark Exp. 8. Mayflower ship and Plymouth settlement, 1620, (CIVILIAN) - armed with canons and mortars 9. Blunderbuss/Dragoon (1600) - short barrel shotguns which could fire grenades, chain, dart, and incendiary rounds 10. Fougasse and Pressureball - black powder mines, up to 5,500 lbs of explosives FACT: James Madison, author of the 2A, as president created a program to increase effectiveness and reduce cost of repeating arms to make them more available to the populace. FACT: In 1777, Benjamin Franklin wrote a letter to George Washington encouraging him to commission the creation of rapid-fire muskets.

This is by far one of my favorite video, it’s informative, insightful and most importantly relevant to all things Firearms related...Thank you for the positive information.
