I mean she’s not wrong. Her and Howard are a VERY weird couple. Honestly I’d say Howard (especially early seasons) was even weirder than Sheldon. Sheldon was mostly annoying, but Howard was uncomfortable.
I get where Penny's coming from. I like to keep personal goals to myself, because then setbacks don't hurt. And when I finally accomplish it, it's not because I need approval, but because it's something I wanted for myself. 😊
@@mohoejegi4876 But in this case, he also is very likely going to make you feel bad about yourself if you fail, like the original commenter said, setbacks will hurt in this case. I bet Penny would def tell Leonard if she felt like setbacks would be okay and he would help it feel less hurtful instead. The reality was, however, to Leonard it seems like Penny had to do better whenever she wanted to try or do something, like in this very episode, he went behind her back and fix her assignment, and in another episode, she told Sheldon she was worried Leonard was gonna be bored of her not being smart enough, and upon knowing that, Leonard actually came to give her some info about going back to college 🤦♀️ Look, I get it, Leonard honestly had good intentions in all that, he was afraid that low grades would discourage her from studying and he thought solution to her insecurity of being not smart enough for him is to get more education, which may sound logical. But look from a psychological perspective, the right answer would be him letting her try things on her own and be there to support and cheer her up if she failed or was discouraged by her failure, and let her know it's okay to fail. Doing these things these ways really just make the receiver of these actions feel like it's not okay to fail or to not hold a degree.
@@Justin-fl1nvyeah, to teach him a lesson lol. Made him believe it was her work and got a good grade to rub his nose in it so that he'd stop trying to take over her school assignments. Then I guess she got a taste of good grade and reverted to her highschool days and got the nerds doing her homework 😂 but before telling anyone she did wanted to do it herself so it was a good idea not telling anyone
@@Magelog490 I still love Bernadette and Amy response. Bernadette "All this time after highschool and I'm still doing the prom queen's homework". Amy. "Yeah dreams do come true!!!"
I busted a gut in out loud giggleness because the irony, was so darn fabulous and tickles my corn ball humor...authentically funny not ever at the expense of... Thank you sitcombub...I really needed that
Please explain for people from other side of globe? Without context it is even pointless to search in web :/ _Sherman must be some military/politician (because during ww2 existed tank Sherman, famous for stuck in bushes and mud), so he must be pretty old, it means he is likely from times of Civil War, but North defeat South, it means he was successful (but Penny - not)? Anyway, guy who gave own name to tanks must be successful (but Penny - not)._
General, William Tecumseh Sherman was the United States general during the American Civil War. He is perhaps, best known for his “march to the sea,” in which he engaged in scorched earth-type tactics. The destruction of the city of Atlanta in that process as a story onto itself. Thus “Sherman going south” is an apt analogy any movement proceeding in an unstoppable and destructive direction. It’s plowing through and destroying.
I thought I was the only one like this - I don’t tell my boyfriend stuff after knowing which, he might say “wow oh my god! I’m so proud of you, my girl, what can I do for you?” 😅 it makes me feel weird, like I’m snatching all the attention. I just want him to say “nice!” but he starts to do things for me. 😢I love it but don’t want it 😭
Penny was right. Leonard set a lot of non verbal pressure all the time and made her feel he expects certain things from her bc he is the smart guy. She wasnt sure she wiuld be good at it and she didnt want to deal with him yet
I think I will agree with Amy, yes Sheldon and Amy are socially awkward, but they work towards their relationship, same with Howard and Bernie but I feel like that spark is missing between Leonard and Penny. Feels so forced
This kind of hit home with me. I didn’t get my bachelors degree until last year and I turned 36 now I’m 37 and working on my masters so there’s no shame in it waiting I mean.
Hahaha. My wife is about to start LVN school, and I have encouraged her every step of the way, like Leonard.....from getting her GED, taking the pre-requisites, and then passing the entrance exam.
@Everyday_Eva LVN= Licensed Vocational Nurse GED= General Education Diploma......It is what adults get in the United States if they didn't finish high school but want to earn their high school diploma later in life.
She's never had a good model of a good relationship because she preferred meatheads until she met Leonard (who is a lothario if you think of how many out-of-his-league scores he took down over the course of the show). Len is a certified mack-daddy.
