Stewart, when he is mid-speech and says that line- 'I swear I will turn a hose on you.' It is so brilliant- he was one of my fave supporting characters.
They should have had a BBT spin-of "The Comic Book Store" staring Stuart and Denise. The other characters could do drive by cameos now and then. Could have worked.
He was nonchalant about the whole thing, he's got no problem talking to them but to other girls he'd be tweakin'. I liked his participation on game night, Clue.
Stewart knows that women entering the comic book store is rare and if the guys stare they will drive the girls out. Girls talk to other girls. If the girls say that they were objectified at the comic book store then other girls will never come in. Stewart is planning for the future...even if it never comes true.
I love that, despite the fact that Stewart is so weird and depressing at times, he's still a gentleman and makes sure that the girls are treated witg respect!
Ikr. The amount of wanton disrespect coming from those comic book store customers was atrocious. Their mothers should wash all their eyes out with soap.
I say it depends on why the girl left with them. If she left with them because of the guy, mainly, Penny didn't pick her up. If the girl decided to leave with them because she liked Penny, then she did
They forgot to include the best line: PENNY: If Harry Potter’s magic wand can make decisions, then why can’t Thor’s hammer? AMY: OK, if you’re gonna start comparing wands and hammers, I can’t even take you seriously.
0:06. I just love Captains Sweatpants face. It's like he saying "OMG It's happening it's actually happening. I knew if I prayed and dreamed hard enough this day come"
I went to a Games Workshop in Sheffield, taking my girlfriend and her friend in there with me. There were four guys round a table playing a 40K match, and a few more painting models on the other side of the shop. They all turned. As one. We quickly left.
I’ve seen this happen when going through retro game stores with my ex years ago. I would prefer to go to a store, just a store, not a tournament arena of Magic the Gathering, D&D, Pokémon, and other card games, role playing games, board games, etc. Nothing against it at all, but that’s not why we’re there, we were there to browse and look for old games to buy, yet 90 percent of the “shop” is old card and folding tables with metal chairs and a ton of people surrounding them fighting over who’s card wins... not exactly the same browsing atmosphere that you’d expect from a video game store.
It's too bad when they walked into the apartment after getting home, we don't get to see Sheldon's reaction to them reading his precious comics! THAT would've been the look of the series!
If there are two things I know about super heroes and sci-fi #1: Never ask who the best super hero is around a group of super fans #2: don’t mix up Star Wars and Star Trek
Stuart wasn't always creepy & pathetic, the writers of this show basically turned him into a joke like many other characters because they don't really know what to do with the characters.
But that would ruin the punch line of the alleged joke, wherein Stuart tries to recommend a comic for legitimate reasons only for Penny to choose Thor because "he's hot".
That's the original artwork on the cover, right? I was looking for this comic on Amazon and it has different artwork, and I was wondering if he was holding the wrong comic.
It must be a big WOW to them seeing 3 girls walking through a comic book store like they never seen a women before This is literally the reaction of the gamers on my twitch. They're always like: "wait you're a girl? Oh wow. Nice to meet a girl gamer!"
This makes me cringe so badly like come one odin thors father put a spell on thors hammer saying who is worthy shal pick up the hammer and I'm pretty sure u just need to have a pure heart and good motivation
The arguments they're making still apply. For example, Bernadette asked if Hulk would be picking up the hammer if he picked up Thor while he was holding the hammer. If Thor - while holding the hammer - was picked up by an unworthy person, would that person be picking up the hammer?
“Alright well who’s the best superhero?” “Ttstcsshhhhhh! You can’t say something like that in here! Are you trying to start a rumble?!” If you’ve never delved into geek culture, you’re probably a bit confused. But if you’re a geek, you know how seriously true that statement is.
Happens when my girlfriend goes with me to the comic shop. When the new issues are out Wednesday she gets quite a few stares from awkward fellow nerds. It’s amusing
@@shawntillson7041 *He's* "A" who's dark... Not "he's"... If you're going to *try* to be a grammar-Nazi, then learn how to use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence... Get it right!!! :D
They always make the joke that Stewart makes no money from the store, except the fact he not only has 4 weekly regulars who buy quite a few different comic books, but the store always has at least 3 people in it at all times. The fact that events are held there means that they have a very consistent customer base. So the only explanation would be that he has almost zero upcharge on any of the merchandise which would be just dumb of him. But by prices said in different episodes it is clear he sells most things for the standard price you would get it anywhere, as well as selling things for criminally high prices at times almost being 10 times the regular value. Its really inconsistent.
3:57 Uhhh, Penny... I don't think "picking up" people is comparable, let alone the same as picking up a magical object/weapon... P.S. The obvious answer to this whole debate is magic, obviously. Under normal circumstances, anyone would be able to pick up any ordinary hammer. Unless it was too heavy, then that's an entirely different story altogether lol!
