@@peppesgabello All bitcoin have private keys. That's the whole reason they work. Before Metamask existed I had paper wallets with the private keys written on them.
He could have had multiple batman keychains over the years the one penny took must have been recent , otherwise it wouldn't have been in the comic book store.

They said it was 7 years earlier which means in season 4, but I think they made a mistake and it was actually 8 years earlier.. Leanerd and Penny started dating in season 3 , not 4, and in one of the flashbacks Penny and Amy didn't know each other but in season 4, Amy had already joined the gang
I think this was before Howard and Raj pretended to be Sheldon online when he met Amy. Because as soon as they met Amy named Penny her best friend, so I highly doubt she would call her "Waitress" plus if it was around season 4-5, Amy would be with Sheldon, not with sum rando. So yea that's why Penny didn't call her Amy

It’s a hindsight moment. Sheldon didn’t make much of that flash drive’s value at the time and it suddenly became valuable. Can’t hold it against him after the fact that Bitcoin went up

Technically speaking, The team was running a small business what Sheldon has done out of pure childness pettiness could have sent him to 20 years in to a federal penitentiary.
Back then when crypto was basically a joke and you'd be lucky to buy a pizza with 2000 bitcoin? Not likely. Hell, I don't even think crypto wallets existed back then since crypto was basically scoffed at by 99.99999% of society (I myself used to be apart of that percentage).

@@natalianowa6405 Leonard still lose the keychain. Without Sheldon, they still lose the laptop, forgot about Bitcoin and nor have any Bitcoin at all because he's the one introduced it to them.
We have punched ourselves for being so wrong about Bitcoin. Now its too late. I was there in 2009 when Bitcoin was launched, I saw it on the internet and thought, "Who the fuck would want funny make-believe money?!" Boy was I wrong! I could have been a Euro billionaire by now.
He could have, but back when he found it, Bitcoin was still pretty unheard of by none data miners and computer science majors. If anything, it would have looked pointless back in the day and would have probably not been worth anything to him at the time.

They didn’t even depict bitcoin right. Bitcoin isn’t some digital object that you store on your computer. Instead, it’s simply records on a ledger known as a blockchain that’s stored on numerous computers. The only thing you need is your private key in order to access your bitcoins
This episode like many others made me angry because the next episode everyone acts like everything is normal when it shouted, screw them over out of lots of money. This should’ve been addressed more we should’ve seen Sheldon apologize.
For people so sensitive: They know that Sheldon keep grudges. He's a revenge type of person. THEY KNOW THAT. When they bullied him and he says, "yall gonna regret that", they should've known he will keep his word. Also, Sheldon never wanted to keep the bitcoin as he said, he just want to see them suffer first. Leonard, Raj and Howard just met their karma. Also, I think Sheldon can keep secrets but only for revenge.
