In addition to inheriting the best parts of retro and modern platformers, The Big Catch is designed to be something fresh (like the fish). Play the demo for The Big Catch today on Steam. The full game will be releasing on PC via Steam in 2025.

looks more like ps1 to me. Gamecube has Mario Sunshine, which looks nothing like this

@@marinbolder3730 Kind of inbetween the two. Gamecube and PS2 had texture smoothing, but PS1 couldn't do something like the title drop here or the sheer size of the environments (plus this has no texture/vertex wobbling).

Nostalgia back to the 90s. Reminds me of rayman 2/3, banjo kazooie, klonoa, majoras mask, blinx the timesweeper, super mario 64, sonic adventure 1/2 and so on. This is looking great.

It's easier to develop for PC. Consider getting one that can play video games. You have a lot of options these days. Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and even the Ayn Loki Zero. If you want to swim, get in the pool.

So many different vibes I'm getting from this game. 64 Zelda games from some of the musical instruments and scenery, Klonoa, Rayman, even Billy Hatcher from the title card.
