The Big Daddy V run, was it any fun? Or did you feel hard done?

On Ring of The Hawk sometimes we listen to the fans and other times we don't, this is an example of we do. It's Big Daddy V AKA Viscera, AKA Mabel who is the heaviest man to come on the show so far. Surprisingly he spent most of his time either ECW or competing against The Undertaker and Kane. If you want to make The Hawk talk, sign up on Patreon today: www.patreon.co...

V was a weird one. He had some really clean moves that worked well sometimes, but then other times, his giant mass of flesh got in the way of doing anything good. He's one of the few guys I've seen who could pull off a good belly to belly one match, then completely botch it the next. Feb. 18, 2014 was a very sad day for me. I had bought a ticket to the Heroes and Legends III Wrestling fan fest in Ft. Wayne, IN, which took place on March 22, 2014, and three of the guests booked to be there were Men On A Mission, who I bought a meet and greet to see. I met Mo and Oscar on March 22 that year, but Mabel had died a month and four days prior. It will always be a regret of mine that I never got to meet Mabel, but came so close to it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Taker's match with V on Smackdown was the first time he used the Hell's Gate (at least as a finisher). I remember watching that live back in the day and thought it looked pretty cool with V dripping blood from his mouth.

I remember that match too. It had to be that or a Khali match was the first. The Hells Gate at the time just sold it for me that Undertaker was just OP. Like he already had 3 finishers and then he just MMA'd those two behemoths. Everlast gloves era Taker was just 🔥🔥
