Those who remember, a player from that era who was before his time was Ralph Sampson! For those who don’t know RU-vid him. 7’4 and would thrive in this era now. He was criticized by all because his game wasn’t like most bigs at that time. He would thrive in today’s game. Knee problems and other issues shortened his career. Also, the Rockets drafted Olajuwon and they played and got to the Championship in 86 but got beat by the Celtics. It worked for a while but everyone wanted him to change his game to be more of “true center” at the time.
