I've just decided to have a bash at LRF 'properly' and picked up a HTO Aikido 6ft 0.2 to 6g rod and a Daiwa Ninja 1500 reel loaded with Dangan Braid and I think it came to around £50 now to buy 1000's of lures 🤣 and its all your lots fault 🤪. My problem is I live in WArwickshire so don't get chance to do it as much as I'd like so its a holiday activity when my wife get fed up of me. Merry Chrimbo guys and see you all next year I hope

Brilliant podcast things have moved on so much since I first asked about set up but 100% braid and I think your reply buy the best rod you can afford I can’t not recommend the Majorcraft Adji enough they are like a wizards wand so sensitive but love my HTO for lobbing metals

@@vbn828 its certainly an effective rig, but some species can be very suspicious of it. Conversely when sight fishing ive seen loads of fish actually attack the split shot and totally ignore my lure!
