Also I have to say Shane your vid production quality is always top notch bro. It makes a difference, gives a classy vibe and you have been doing it from the beginning. Your hard work id appreciated!
Gorgeous looking subs. For me having the subs in the corner maybe a foot or so from each wall gives me the best results, so long as that wall isn't too thin and can reflect the energy. One of my walls is brick... man that makes a huge difference and lets me get away with smaller drivers than I think I otherwise could. I still have another in the opposite rear corner anyway. Looking forward to the full review!
As much as I LOVE these subs!! 🎉 I can’t help but feel like they really should be 2 for $5,000. I researched the specs on these and they are almost identical to the R15S according to Perlistens own website. Also, I can’t be the only one to think “No grill for a $5k sealed sub??” Please, I’m not hating here! I want these baaad! Just wanted to offer an alternative viewpoint. 🎉
4 Subwoofers for $4,800 if you get HSU 15". I would just buy 2 Startke SW15's for $499 each. But 1 subwoofer $500 more than enough for my room and that is enough for neighbor to say something....
Love your reviews Shane. Waiting for the notification when you have tried these suckers out in your updated cinema. I’m in the market to put 2 subwoofers in my space just waiting for your valued thoughts. Cheers.
The Rythmik will start making driver noises well before this one does at high Spl. I believe it’s got a rumble filter to help it not bottom out but limits the extension. Therefore it doesn’t dig as deep as the Perlisten. Still a nice subwoofer for the money but it’s cheaper as far as build quality and the Perlisten Dsp is the best out there.
Amazon has Movie Camera with big Microphone should be good for recording my Subwoofer/ Home Theater video clips. They are $150 or Less and No-Name brands from China. You probably bought a microphone like Sennheiser for $150 and a nice movie camera to attach it too (need XLR on camera).
Been eyeing these since last year’s prototypes at CEDIA. I have dual SB15’s in a large room and don’t wanna go with big ported boxes. Perhaps this is a good alternative??
@HiFinest343 the sb16 is a total beast. Probably no need to upgrade from it unless you like spending money. But if you wanna sell them you can give me a killer deal 😉
