A view from the UK. Thanks for an informative video, but, sorry, to use you to vent my opinion. I am retired and was wondering what to spend my future lottery winnings on and sailing was a pastime i would consider. So, off we go to the You Tube vids for info and knowledge of what is out there regarding 'Blue Water' sailing yachts. As someone who has never delved too deeply into yachts bigger than a mirror or laser dingy, boy am i uninspired. They all look the same to me. Now i know the physics of sailing don't change but for gawd sake can they not get something other than a forest of trees to decorate the interior for example? Do they ALL have to have a plumb bow and a mini bowspit these days?. Why are most offering the dual helms right at the rear end of the boat? These boats are sold as 'Blue Water', i hope the helmsman on these boats is not out in a 3m swell or more. A centre cockpit would be compulsory for me. Or are they really just for posing around on in the Med, or chartering off Croatia? There were examples of yachts here without a 'Dodger' or even a spray hood. I've got to tell you that i once went to a marina that i'll not mention suffice to say it began with 'S' and ended in wanick and found owners spending the weekend just sitting on their boats at its mooring. I kid you not. Anyway, enough of me sounding off just to answer your question which is: Which are my top 3. 1, Oyster 595 (with spray hood), 2, Hallberg Rassy 69 (if i can get my own interior designer in), 3, Najad 570 (with spray hood). BUT....should it be a euromillion win then appointments will we made at Perini Navi, Alloy Yachts and Royal Huisman at the earliest opportunity.
