Euphoria is made by natural motion for your informations rockstar has always amazed me but if you mean euphoria yeah that is natural motion not rockstar
@@TonYStarKGaminG the creatores of euphoria are natural motion the only compnies that have acces to euphoria are rockstar and natural motion and disney no more the guy who wrote this comment probably thinks rockstar made euphoria and fyi euphoria is still a thing and don't try to say "fyi euphoria isn't a thing no more" you can't find it online cuz it is only for the compnies i told you about you will not find any information you will if you searched really deep but it will still be just a page explaining euphoria or something
@@zeflox444 n 2017, NaturalMotion announced it would end licensing of Euphoria, along with its other technologies, to concentrate on mobile games. This is what i meant
The fact that there were 8 years between RDR and RDR2, and RDR2 is 5 years old baffles me. There have been comparatively tiny progress in graphics since 2014-2018
i don't think there's little change between now and 5 years ago, i think that the graphics just haven't aged enough for the change to be obvious like, i remember thinking hl2 looked kickass back in 2019, when it was 15 years old, but now that it's 19 years old i'm starting to notice some of the flaws (like the unmoving reflections or the flat cutout textured guard rails in highway 17)
@@donowa5637 Resolution also plays a role. I remember HL2 as being photorealistic back when it came out however back then I played it on a CRT at 1024x768 or something. It helped hide some of the rough bits and made the game visually "flawless". Now at 4k, shit looks crisper and better than real life. lol. You can really appreciate the visuals but it's also much easier to criticize.
for the average gamer the differences might be small, but a lot of processes are being optimized and require less work. something that needed 100 people 5 years ago, currently can be done by an indie game dev for virtually free.
I wish the Euphoria engine is licensed to and used by more game studios, not just (almost exclusively) by Rockstar. It's such a fantastic and still unrivaled ragdoll system.
yeah we know it. but i dont know why most games outthere not use this physics, so cool and feel much better than boring animations. look at ubishit games,cp2077, the fucker 3, cod,mafia..... ragdoll physics suck!!!! i cant enjoy this dog shit. dying light, rage, fear,l4d1,2......use animations and ragdoll but still look awesome. euphoria and ragdoll is amazing me.
It was mentioned in the video that Natural Motion developed it. ALLTHOUGH Rockstar did not license it. That´s not how Euphoria worked. Euphoria never has been "a physics engine" or any engine at all. Rockstar hired Natural Motion to come to their studio and impliment their motion synthesis technique into their existing RAGE engine. There is no engine to license... It´s a one time job and Natural Motion got paid to do that job. The copy Rockstar has been using ever since GTA 4 is pretty much theirs and Natural Motion seemingly discontinued Euphoria together with their animation programm "Endorphine". There has been no active support or development from their side even years before GTA 5 released. Throuh a series of companies being bought up, Natural Motion is now owned by T2. The same company that own Rockstar Games. At this point they are the only ones actively using and developing Euphoria and they pretty much own the company that made it in the first place... So at this point it´s irrelevant if they originaly made it or not, It´s theirs.
In one of those videos showcasing cool gunfights in RDR2, someone shot an NPC, that NPC dropped the rifle and it shot at himself because it was loaded. That was peak imo. Great game!
I remember when they were adding it to Indiana Jones and the staff of kings. It was this huge thing, which I don't know if they ended up adding it to the wii game.
Well one has to hire a group of highly paid specialists from natural motion so they can implement euphoria into your game. That’s why you don’t see Euphoria in many games. Because integrating it costs a lot. Euphoria IS NOT owned by rockstar. They simply hire people to implement it in their games
@@morbid1. Euphoria is a middleware and not owned by rockstar, some non-rockstar games like "Backbreaker" and even ios games also have euphoria integration, reason you don't see it often is the cost and TIME to integrate..
Can you please talk about the tech behind the last of us part II That game was a technical achievement. In every way, from graphics to sound design to atmosphere to animation, I mean really impressive so please make a video about it 😊😊
Most of what was said was inaccurate. For example, when Arthur trudges through snow and his gait changes, thats not euphoria. Normal walking isnt euphoria
@@JT11111 that is true, but you it’s not the “most underrated game of all times” Rdr2 has won 25 awards and it has been received very positively by various review outlets including IGN who gave it a 10/10
The script is low on information about how Euphoria actually works, and is more like an advertisement of what it can do. This video could have been made by someone with no technical knowledge. I'm very disappointed.
It's not quite the same thing. IK is a motion solver; instead of forcing animators to hand position and orient every joint in their character's body, IK lets them move the part that they're interested in (e.g. a hand or foot) and the system will figure out how to move the rest of the joints between it and the parent joint (e.g. the knee and leg joints between the foot and pelvis or elbow and shoulder joints between the hand and spine). It solves one part of the more complex whole that Euphoria aims to achieve. Euphoria's active ragdolls are IK + Physics sim + procedural animations + an AI to decide which animations to use and/or how to blend them together, with all of this built-over the games existing movement/physics systems.
ahh I was always wondering what happened to Euphoria, I didn’t know someone actually used it in a game. Shame their games are lame settings though, couldn’t care less about random wild west or gangsters
@@HakoTaco1 I can't even take a shit without being told what to do every single muscle movement There are thousands of things to do, but none of them have substantial meaning The controls are sloppy and inprecise It's very pretty, but has level design that goes back to old ass games like GTA 3, and that is not a good thing Just because it sold well and won awards doesn't mean it's a good game, it just means it's made by Rockstar
@@HakoTaco1 Besides low IQ, what could possibly drive someone to write out a comment like this without seeing anything wrong with it? "It sold a lot of copies" seriously...?
