Thank you! By clicking that link, not only is the sound much louder and clearer but also the picture! This is one of the most important panel discussion i.m.o., and I'm particularly impressed with with Jet has to say, and her insight in the process she went through which might be very beneficial/helpful to other young people who are questioning their sexuality. Also how puberty blockers stops sexual development. Very interesting and something for the Dutch Protocol doctors to have a deep think about!
I asked a doctor I respect this exact question. She dismissed it completely. Their mind can’t go there because the truth of what is happening is too horrifying.
I'm happy to report that we are. More and more of us are speaking up and creating change. I have a channel here and an organization. I know others too. Lesbians. That keep our fight for women's rights lesbian led.
For the love of god please do…as a straight male with two daughters I worry about this often ….I have never had any problems with people that have a different sexuality than my own…nor have I had issue with different proclivities… in general…that people have ….this issue IS being literally encouraged in schools (I work at a middle school and have seen it…in fact these kids are elevated …as other children look on they get the impression that these kids are special…and by special I mean in a good way like they are “in” on something the other kids are not) let’s get together and help these kids …I appreciate your comment very much….this will be a struggle but in that struggle I will help to elevate you and your ideas …all the best !!
This was a great panel and a great discussion. As a gay man who came of age in the 1980s, I do often wonder how many "trans" kids are just gay or lesbian and struggling with their orientation because of familial homophobia. Are there NO ongoing studies on this issue???
Precisely that! It's been claimed and now owned by the 'gender ideologues', just like language changes and everything else they believe they can control!
It means a lot of things to different people. But I do know that when an LGBQT person sees it, it makes them feel welcome. It's more than a motel 6 sign and less than a jesus fish,.
Agree! Sex is 'consumed', porn is consumed, 'love' has no meaning or is being exploited as a bait for some else gratification. Lust is glitter and 'love bombing', etc etc. Everything around sexuality is so commercialized I feel, and now medicalized.
@@MRsnuggles-u9i No-one said it was 'wrong'. I'm 57yrs old Bi, the couples i know with the longest, enduring & loving relationships are male. I went to a lot of weddings in 2014, many to people who had been together for 40yrs+.
@@MsElfdee that is nice to hear. I didnt want to come across as accusatory because I wasnt sure what your angle was. I admit Im sensitive to what sounds like possible negative judgment. I came out recently and grew up religious so Im still learning how to accept myself and not let hateful comments get to me. thanks for clarifying what you meant.
Oh, to have people who thought like this in my life. If you're out there and you've lost friend1ships and relationships for standing up and speaking out against this homophobic, misogynist, anti-child, anti gender nonconforming movement. You're not alone. When you're gay or identifying as trans jt is often so much harder because we can lose nearly *all* of our friends and supports by speaking out. Many have little to no relationship with family. I'm so grateful for these brave, intelligent people in the front lines against toxic medical industry abuse. It gives me hope. It is especially heartening tk hear oeople acknowledge the damage this has done to the lesbian community,, particularly butch lesbians. Despite how devastating this movement has been to lesbians and butch lesbians that side gets ignored. Thank you so much to the straight allies and men who helped make this possible. You have no idea what it means to us.
4:50...!! What Malcom said about the gatekeeping of puberty...!! Made me mad tear up and evoked in me a...a, I don't know what mix of sadness, hatred, howling and despair I've never felt surrounding this issue. I feel for genuine trans people, truly I do but that set off something within me...whoa!
How did we go from trying to get young people to accept who they are (setting old fashioned gender stereotypes aside), to telling young people that they're broken / born in the wrong body / need to be fixed through medicine and surgery? And how, can anyone explain, is any of this 'progressive'?
Very good conversation. Point about love is very important. Love, family and that someone 'special' from a small percentage of people. BUT it is also COMMUNITY. Real Community has Love at different levels for acceptance, relations, building confidence, letting people be who they really need to be.
@@lizicadumitru9683 That and it's all the rage right now. Nobody wants to be gay anymore. She didn't want to be a lesbian. She wanted to be a straight boy, which she is clearly not.
Alistair who I believe started Genspect with Stella O'Malley he began this work after hearing the stories of traumatized parents whose kids were inducted into this nightmare.
Homosexuals used to be considered a “third sex” or example of “sexual intermediaries” under Hirschfeld. There’s no distinction between that way of thinking and calling someone trans, except nowadays people say trans of way saying someone supposedly needs medical intervention. No one needs this stuff.
It it seems like it is not male centric enough it may be because this movement is particularly devastating to women, especially lesbians, especially butch women and the lack of value given to people in these categories is a big reason why this ideology has flourished. Listening to people concerned about butch women is a rare experience that is not easily found. I'm grateful for it and for these people. "What are the categories of people I don't have much empathy for? Whose points of view do I seldom see or care about and why is that?" is an interesting question to ask. Who do I easily see the points of view of and who seems like an NPC or a "thing" vs. a fellow sentient being?
