Anyone have experience with RV Life FULL TIME? With having a dog in the life or working?
@craigsrvebayontheroad4876

We have been doing this for the last 7-8 years. I also sell on ebay. We started out renting our house out to our daughter. She kept asking to buy it so after the first few years we sold it to her. We kept that address and had any returns shipped to her, She would open them to inspect and then I would refund the buyer. Our dog loves to travel, she just wants to be with us. We are able to leave her in the RV, quiet dog. Main thing is to make sure you have AC if its hot outside. At some point you might want to think about having a homebase. With covid lots of RV'ers had a hard time finding some place to stay. We ended up buying a park model in Arizona as a homebase. So now we are only in our RV half the year. When we were fulltime in the RV I would ship on the road. I loved going to different towns and going to the different thrift stores. I would say to travel slow, pace yourself, spend longer amount of time in each town you want to see. That way you wont be in a hurry to see it all in one day. Its actually a great life. I do miss family when I'm gone but we enjoy being together when I come home and we still keep in touch everyday.

No long term experience myself but..I lived RV for 2 years with my two cats in Northern Nevada. But I had a daily job, was permanent, not traveling. In any kind of cold climate, skirting makes a big difference and that's not really possible when you're traveling all the time. I used framing, insulation board and plywood over that. I had a storage shed its own washer and dryer at my site as well as renting a storage unit for excess stuff. But I was in a community with lots of full-time RV livers, year-round RV campgrounds, a mining town with a lot of people on short and long-term jobs in an area with a housing shortage. Definitely doable but you need to adopt a minimalist lifestyle. There is a full-time RV reseller on RU-vid who works primarily with Amazon FBA. She goes to drug stores and places like Grocery Outlet and buys primarily clearance and discount cosmetics/personal care type items and ships them to Amazon to resell. Obviously she doesn't have storage space in an RV to carry much inventory. There is another reseller who sells on eBay but she ships to a fullfillment processor in Colorado that receives the goods, stores and ships them out when they sell. I believe she does the photography and listings herself? I imagine you could drop ship from a wholesaler and travel full-time in an RV as well. If you like to list you could work with a reseller as a virtual assistant just doing the listings from their photography.

I have a co-worker who sold his home and bought a big 5th-wheel RV along with a 1-ton pickup truck to pull that monster. I envy all of the places he visits, he does have a full-time job as a programmer and can afford this lifestyle. He uses Star-link for his Internet access, and it seems to work fine, I often meet with him on the Teams app and the voice quality is fine. I'm hoping that I can retire early and go on some road trips before I get too old to enjoy it. You seem to be young and my advice to you is to try things when you are young and able to enjoy it. On the other hand, selling your home is a big decision and you may not be able to purchase another home in Florida for a while since the prices are going up all of the time. Life on the road may not be for you are your spouse, you both may get bored with finding a good RV park and maintaining the RV. I recommend that you rent or purchase a travel trailer (less than $20k new) and go on some long road trips, this way you can both make a decision based on experience. Good Luck, John...

That’s the craziest thing ever!! Selling your house now is a great idea because real estate is cyclical and we have already started on the down side. So your house will sell for a lot less. And living full time in a RV is stressful. The weather and other things like illness affect where you can park the RV. In Texas we have not been able to use our RV since before Christmas 2023 because of the fires and floods. We have searched every state this summer for places to take the RV but either they were full or damaged and not permitted to rent out or too dangerous because of the divided political and social anger everywhere!! So our RV has been stored for 9 months!! Don’t do it! You will regret it.

Yeah, you definitely should sell your house and downsize. But and take advantage of all that equity, but I would consider leasing or renting short term like three or six months some kind of vehicle and tested out. Before actually buying one because you're not gonna get the same equity in reselling it. And as much fun as all that sounds, it might not it might not be something to do for the rest of your life

I've had several friends, clients, and acquaintances do this over the years, though not resellers. A few are still going, some lasted around 6 months, but most much less, before wanting to pull their hair out from having "real-house" home sickness. Downgrading your car, ouchie, and renting both the house and RV would be a great option, if you are able to. Maybe, try renting through a management agency to short term (6-9 month) tenants, as they have a harder time finding rentals, and will pay a bit more, then go from there. If you end up loving it, then go all in. With renting, you may not have that big immediate payday, but a lot less outgoing, some extra monthly income to plan your other endeavors, and a place to come back to, if needed. Most rentals are paying for themselves these days. That is especially so in areas like yours, and when one has lots of equity, which usually means a lower mortgage payment. Being a retired finance manager, I'm afraid it may be a long while before we see interest rates even close to yours again. This is all just my 2¢... I wish you, Kate, and the probable future fur baby many blessings in all that you do. Thank you for always being so kind, upstanding, and putting out truthful content, with a side of heart. ~T

Just some random thoughts to consider: 1) I have had several friends join the RV lifestyle and after two years they were tired of traveling and settled down again. 2) Consider keeping your house and renting it. Rents are sky-high now. Yes when you move back in you'll have to paint and do a lot of cleaning but it may solve the issue of having a place to return to. 3) You will get a greater return on your home appreciation than by selling and investing the money you are taking out. 4) I know you put in a tremendous number of hours but when you are someplace new you are going to spend your time sightseeing and you will work less so count on your income reducing. Do you really want to try and juggle work and vacation time. Wouldn't it better to do them separately? 5) The best suggestion I have seen on here is rent an RV for two or three months and see if it works and you enjoy it. You may decide that every summer you are going to rent an RV and travel during the hottest time in Florida and take an extended two or three month vacation and then return home and go back to work. You have a strong enough work ethic to make a years worth of income in 9-10 months. 6) As far as mail and returns if you stay in one place for a several days at a time you can have items sent general delivery to any PO. You would just have to have someone who is sending stuff to let you know what day they are actually mailing so you can determine what PO you will be near on day of expected delivery. I think PO holds general delivery packages 5 days. 7) If you love that house as much as you seem to, could you find a place you like as well if after a couple years you want off the road? And what are prices going to be 2-3 years from now. May be much higher, or maybe the same, no one knows at this point. 8) One expense you may be not be looking at is a RV campsite is probably going to run you $50 a day ($1500 month). 9) I was in the mortgage business dealing with home loans for 40 years and I can show you how it makes sense financially to carry a big mortgage, or why rent is cheaper. Justify either with true numbers. But "peace of mind" has a lot of value knowing you have a permanent place to call home. 10) If children are in the plans how well will you be able to raise a child on the road and take them everywhere you want to go sightseeing. I think that may be the biggest decision before you decide to live the nomad lifestyle. 11) I'm sure whatever you decide you can make work, but you have to ask is there an easier way to accomplish the same thing differently? Good luck!

⬆️ This right here is great advice. Pretty much covers everything I was thinking. Only other thing I didn't hear you mention is her photography business. That is a very word-of-mouth business, mostly, that isn't going to work, unless she does more nature/landscape type stuff or stock-photography...unless it's more of a hobby. One side note. Your 39, she is 35, if you are planning to have children, you should probably get on that. As-is right now, you'll be around 60 when they are getting ready to go to college or leaving the home/RV..

Please!! Please!!! DO NOT SELL YOUR HOME!! PAY IT OFF!!! If something really bad happens to you or your wife and can't work, atleast you'll have a paid for house. I know you'll still have house bills, but it will be a paid off house. Those bills will be nothing compared to an RV that breaks down and you're stuck in a motel for 1 or two weeks or longer until it's fixed. Instead, rent an RV, put ebay on vacation, and go out for 1 or two weeks at a time.

Sell the big house and cars...I did this 8 years ago, my dream home I spent 15 years upgrading, my backyard oasis and office space I LOVED. No regrets! That house and the $4k monthly expense that went with it was an anchor. Sooo many more opportunities opened up once I let it go. My big pay off happened after I bought and sold an AirBnB that doubled my income. As for returns, have them sent to someone who is stationary. They check them in, look them over, relist for you and when/if they sell, they ship.

I sold my house with my moms name on it for triple what I paid when the going was going great in 5 days with only 3.3% interest and made triple pymts in the 3.5 yrs. Wasn’t a good area. Casey think long and hard before selling your house no matter how much equity you have in it! Stay in your house and take 2 weeks off at time 4-5X’s a year. And Rent an RV and Travel and see the places you want to see. Especially because both your families are there not trying to be a downer. I’m older than you and it really sucks not owning your own home-that much I can tell you. I live next door to my mom at her cabin. Just keep putting $$$ away buddy. Just don’t jump on the idea-lots of things to figure out. I love the idea, I just hate to see you get screwed paying double or triple for a new house when the time comes and paying all that extra interest rate. The one person was correct if Dems get in “We are all screwed”! Kate would have to be all in for sure, I don’t want to see anything happen to you two. Wait for your retirement years. I can still see how excited how you get over eBay and your damn good at it. You can still travel, can Kate’s sister come over and pull orders for 2-3 wks while you guys are traveling to pull orders-So you don’t have to put store on Vacation! You have a great interest rate not many of us do or have anymore. I’m just trying to be logical with you Casey please don’t get upset with me. Kel from Ocala. YOU TWO ROCK! Although, I don’t have any ideas to give you as I have never done anything like that. My gut listening to your video just says “ if this can be done successfully he will do it “. Your business sense, work ethic, who you are as a person helps determine your success. What you have succeeded in already is because of who you are. You will research and make sure you know what you need to do. You will be successful because you as a person take the steps to be successful in whatever it is you’re striving to do. That’s been easy to pick up on just listening to your videos. 😊

Casey I think this is an awesome idea. My husband and I are also considering doing this in the next year or two. Just some thoughts…the under-bay storage is typically used like a garage for the RV. A place to keep tools, water & sewer hoses, batteries for solar, outdoor equipment, etc. Make sure you leave some space for all that. You might also want to check YT for others who are currently doing it full time even with kids. Of course they will show a lot of the good stuff but there are some that also show the reality like “things will break”. Excited for this possible new expansion of your channel.

Go for it Casey! I'm 65 and life goes by so quickly. Sell your house while prices are high and invest your money while you travel (I work for an investment firm). Send all your inventory to your warehouse and let them handle everything like you do for us. If you have a few returns consider just doing a refund and let the buyer keep the item. No new pets until you make a decision. There are plenty of houses out there and always deals to be had. You could always just pay cash later for what you can afford if interest rates are too high. Get rid of the debt and go enjoy life before you have children. You can always make a few trips home to visit family or offer them a nice getaway by coming to visit you. On the road again.... 😃

Do whatever makes you happy! But if in your shoes, I’d keep the house for sure, ditch the BMW, and take vacations a few times a year wherever you like. Hire an assistant to do the shipping when you’re on the road. Your hard work now will pay off when you’re older. You’ll need the funds and equity when old age, health issues etc set in. Also it’s nice you’re near your parents. Some older friends of mine (mid 60s) just sold their house in Cali to buy into an expensive house in the middle of nowhere in the Florida panhandle. $670K for a 4 bedroom and they’re too far away from any stores or even a grocery store. I bet their interest rate is high too. I can’t fathom why they’re starting over at their age. But you are still young so do what makes you happy. The RV life would probably be difficult too if you guys are planning to have children. Your house is very nice. As long as you can afford it, you should it keep it. However I must warn you that my advice is from a single, middle aged, childless cat woman. 👩

My partner and I live in an RV full time and sell on Amazon and eBay. The latter is more difficult but you could do it. You have the fulfillment center so use it. You can find cool items on the road at funky thrift stores. Why carry it with you? In your case you have a biz that fulfills for you. That said, I use the overhead cab for storage. You can use the post office box for returns. You have staff to help.you too. That said, if you are in a campground for a week or more, have it sent there. You can travel with a dog. As for Amazon, that is good for traveling. I get items, get boxes (everywhere), process cuz you have a laptop, printer and labels with you...and then send boxes in at the many UPS Stores across the land. I have been doing this for 2 years successfully. But you will do way better times 10 becz you have the fulfillment center. As for videos, you do them on your own schedule. Take us with you to thrift shops around the country...different than Goodwill. You can start another channel for your road living. Finally, selling your home and everything in it is freeing!! I wish we had done it sooner. Like 10 years ago. You are young. Enjoy it. I sold my home in Orange County, CA, and a rental. I gave $80k to each of my 3 sons so they can have money to invest. I still had $300k in my pocket. I will not buy in the OC again. You have to choose something different and better in a rural area. I am finally building a small house on land we bought. The cost is just $150k. There is more we are doing and we are still on the road much of the year. In closing, DO IT.

Please think hard before selling a home with such a good interest rate in this economy. If you don't buy something else (within 2 years?) you could be hit with huge capital gains taxes. Could you lease it out while on the RV trip? I suggest talking to a tax attorney and think it out HARD before jumping in.

1. Travel when you are young before kids 2. Rent out your home for monthly income as you may not want to travel more than a year in the RV and your home will continue to appreciate. 3. Why can’t you give your partner your remotes and cards to store and sell for you like you do for others? 4. Traveling with a dog can be difficult, but you could find a doggy daycare in each city, or just put one of those artificial grasses or puppy pads in your RV. Personally, I would give it a year traveling to see if I want to continue to live in the RV , back to Florida, or sell the house in Florida and get another home and then get a dog. 5. How does rockstar traveler sound? I think it would be cool to go to different cities and find people that sell on Amazon or eBay and interview them. I would watch that.

You have good idea's but need to think it through. Better to rent an RV eg. Class B, C or A and see how you feel driving it and your girlfriend? It may not be what you or she thinks it is driving the RV. Not to sound scary but you become a moving target in an RV on the road. Need to put camera's around it! Need to figure out roughly how much it'll cost your family on the road. In essence you become a Nomad. Have to give a brick and mortar address for car/vehicle insurance and whatever other things. Once you sell the house and high end car are starting a new life style You have to have a plan in case you or your girl friend say there done with the RV living on the road life and want a house or apt. If you buy a house depending where you settle can cost less, more or about the same as where you are. Taxes? I never traveled on the road but are things come to mind. I watch a few main RV channels and if you want can learn a lot from them eg. CheapRVliving, Campervan Kevin, Nomadic Fanatic, etc.

I agree. Sell your big home and buy a smaller house. Rent that house to someone for a year while you try traveling for a year. If you change your mind, you will still have a home that you could move back to. As far as the interest rates go, you could always refinance to a lower rate when they hopefully come back down. One thing I would not like is not having that big office of yours. I think you will miss that.

Wow that’s a huge house for just two people!!! If you get the rv with a huge back used for atvs etc (toy hauler) you use for your ebay storage (most families put their kids in there too)! I have had several friends that do this but haven’t heard from them all summer! They use an ups box for mail! Both of them use back for store items and her jewelry making! They put their dog in dog camp or vet! At times they take dog with them! Remember they all have cameras to keep up with rv while at lake etc and if dogs in rv they have a cooler going and dogs adjust really well(where rent rv comes in handy to see how yall and dog handles it)! Like someone else said one of my friends sold all and after 3 years had to stop traveling so much cause he was ill! They park their rv at a camp parking near us and rent home! You have to constantly keep up where usps or ups stores are and watch shipping times! Oh yes…been thinking of doing same but our home is paid off and 2acres to keep camper when not traveling! Still trying to decide….he not so much after trucking for 45 years! 😢really really maybe try rv rent to see how is before forking out a lot of $$$! Y’all are young still! I work at an RV park in Colorado on the weekends, all summer long. Some things that I hear from full timers are; 1) Cost of a site per night. Here in CO, you're looking at between $80 to $120 per night in a tourist area. That adds up fast. 2) Repair costs. Mobile RV repair is not cheap, and the large Class A rigs have more bells and whistles that can fail. 3) Fuel costs are insane! 4) You definitely want to consider the mobile Starlink, as wifi at RV parks can be hit or miss. 5) It's hard to be spontaneous with a Class A. Larger sites are in demand. The park where I work is already 25% booked for NEXT summer 2025 at an average rate of $100/night. The good news is that I meet a ton of folks who really love the full time lifestyle and are working from the road successfully. It just takes planning and a realistic expectation of some of the challenges. You'll also meet so many interesting people along the way!! Wishing you the best on this journey if you choose to jump into RVing FT.

@@redcliffsclosetresale the whole “no room at parks” is something annoying you can’t control. It sucks. I hate that part Repairs. Fuels. Expenses. Plenty of money to handle all that and stay in a hotel anytime I want But I can’t control bookings. Jesus. And where a class A can and can’t go

@RockstarFlipper Best to have a reservation over any holiday period like Independence Day, Labor Day, etc. Also, if you want to stay in a single location for a week at a time or more, a reservation is recommended. I can usually get someone parked for a day or two, in between longer bookings. It helps if you can be flexible and willing to do a split booking during periods of high demand, meaning willing to move to another spot during your stay. Many more people are booking Waaaaaay in advance, which blows my mind. I have even started a list of folks to call when we start booking for 2026! It's wild!

From the owner of a Diesel repair shop: Lots of people don’t plan for the $25,000 or $30,000 repairs that are inevitable with an RV. Make sure you have that easily accessible at all times. We have had several people abandon their RVs because they couldn’t pay the bill. Good luck! I’m sure you will have lots of fun!

Thats what we did. After 2 years we had quite a bit of equity. We sold the house and bought a 42' toy hauler. The toy room is our office and storage. I sell on Amazon and a little bit on ebay and my husband has a remote job. We travel around and still have our jobs. We are from Florida and that is our 'home base'. We use our daughters address. We started travelling Jan 2023. It's nice being able to source in so many different states. We bought a toy hauler because we heard about the repair costs for RVs as well as just getting an oil change.

Some things to think about. Big question is have you ever driven an RV on road trips? It is not like driving a car/suv it is tiring some are like driving a tank and will effect you working in between driving. Starlink? RV parks are hit and miss with up and download speeds. Ebay may have a problem with you not having a consistent shipping address. Are you thinking of starting to make travel videos to supplement your income(you addressed this). Look into and think about whether you want to boondock a little or a lot, if not some of the RV parks can be very expensive $30-250 a night. Look into getting a goodsam and harvest host membership or at least look them up to see what they are. Will need a yearly pass for National Parks. You will need to get a new RV or maybe a couple of year old used one. Do NOT get one close to 10 years old or older even if it is perfect..a lot of RV parks will not let you stay if it is older no exceptions. May want to reach out to some of the full time RV youtubers to pick their brains for dos and don'ts.

I recently retired from my seasonal retail business and use to own a 39 ft Class A diesel coach. I traveled for 3 consecutive months in the winter when I was closed. You would be surprised how much stuff you need to take with you in the outside storage. Things like outside table & chairs, camp rug, grill, ladder, tools, water hose, sewage hose, water filter, power cord to plug the RV in at campground, etc. That being said, with your inventory, I would look into a Toy hauler as it has tremendous storage space and you can even setup your office in there to get away from the main living space. Not to mention giving Kate a studio space. The 1 big thing you can’t forget about is the Capital Gains Tax you will loose if you don’t reinvent the proceeds of the house sale. When I sold my property after retiring I reinvested the proceeds in a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) from which I receive a monthly dividend. This delays the capital gains tax for a very long time. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Look up depreciation on RVs, you will be shocked. Also quite expensive to park. They’re always either hot or cold, it’s hard to keep the temperature right because they’re so poorly insulated. They’re also poorly made no matter which one you buy. there’s always something wrong with an RV, you’ve got to stay on top of it. It requires maintenance but could be fun, but there is a price.

You should rent a big RV and do a 90 day test road trip. YOu may find teh luster will wear off after a few months. @@RockstarFlipperBeen living in South Florida 31 years. The market in Florida will correct itself slowly, eventually, but we will not see the likes of mortgage interest rates under 3% again unless a huge recession or another round of the foreclosure crisis down here. Even then, I doubt it. Housing prices and these interest rates are just not sustainable compared to the average income in Florida. Maybe just sell the house, grab the equity and buy a home in another state, like Tennessee. You guys like it there, no state income tax, better weather, better home prices than Florida. Or you can rent a house for a year (again, not in Florida, as rentals are thru the roof here). See if you like life outside of Florida and then buy. Maybe it's just a change you need. The RV thing to me just seems expensive and a pain in the a$$ with all the repairs, cost of gas, etc. Be cheaper to travel by plane wherever you want to go and get a hotel...that's just me. Whatever you guys decide, you'll make it work. Wishing you both all the best.

I have watched your videos for awhile. Here is my two cents worth. 1) Hire a local person to check the P.O. box either for x amount of money or another reseller who can list stuff in your store for the exposure in exchange for the po box work. 2) Wait to get a dog until after you get settled in to the RV life and know what to expect. 3) you are doing to travel and enjoy it. So you you will have to cut back on the work. more then likely ebay and dealing with physical products you ship. work the email and create content around the travels. Maybe even some travel vlogs. The rest you figure out by doing it. Good luck. Brian

I've been researching the van thing for awhile myself. LOL I say rent one similar to the size your considering for awhile, see whether maneuvering a 40' barge with a SUV in tow, dealing with emptying the septic/gray water tanks, finding parking is something that you'll be okay with. I know at 57 I can't deal with all that now. Return address...I would see if I could get a relative or someone you trust that would be willing to handle that for some killer souvenirs or a small fee and use their address. You can just use general delivery for receiving mail/supplies and address stuff to ship to the nearest post office, there are also virtual mail forwarding services $$ like "traveling mailbox", "ipostal" etc. For the dog they have remote monitors/baby cams that can keep track of temp, etc and send it to your phone if you really have to leave him in an emergency and it's safe climate wise to do so. Enjoy your life Casey and chase those dreams before something stands in your way and you can't.

Don't be fooled their are expenses involved in living in a RV, maint, tags & inspection, camp sites hook ups, depending on what type of RV you could be to limited on travel due to class or size. It also depends on length of stay per park site.

Two tips, use Escapees mail service. You have mail sent there to your personal pmb and you can request they forward it to wherever you are. There are even scanning services in the higher membership tiers. Do NOT buy new! Get a nice 10 year old or so Class A. Half the price and all the warranty and travel defects have been taken care of. Speaking as a person who grew up in the campgrounds business. I saw a lot of different lifestyles and lived a few of them. Traveling and selling is definitely doable. Even the dog, but there are costs involved with that many places charge for pets and it can be substantial. But with the right dog many people live with their pets in campers, after all it becomes there home so it's like leaving your dog at home when you go out. I would caution you on selling your home, Kate's fears are valid. When my parents and my Aunt and Uncle sold their business and were ready to retire. My Aunt and uncle bought a motor home and were going to travel while my parents kept the house that was in the deal. Well my aunt and uncle took off to see America. And 6 mos. later returned to buy a house because the just had the overwhelming urge to "land" go home. Just a little food for thought. So many thoughts on this! Great idea & it can be done in time. It’s tough being a workaholic but when you actually take a moment to breathe, realize what you’re missing out there. Till you put your plan into action, set more vacation time for yourselves. I like the suggestion of renting an RV to make sure you actually like it. My parents traveled the US in a 5th Wheel for decades from April to October. They ran a business on the road. Had someone back home to ship their orders. You probably don’t want to travel with all your inventory. That’s extra weight you don’t need, IMO. But, that space could be used for more goodies you find on the road. 😂 Good to sell your house with great profits, but maybe when interest rates go down so you can buy a much smaller place since you won’t be home as much??? Thinking capital gains taxes? Traveling with a pet can be done. My parents did as well but unfortunately they did lose a pet😢 the AC malfunctioned when they left her behind. That was heartbreaking. Just being real. Sorry. You have an awesome business and work hard with great ideas. Obviously motivated to do more. Make this work for you and you have succeeded. You are probably past your two years mark since you all purchased your home, so you're free to keep you equity without given a huge chunk to Uncle Sam. We are at an all-time high in the real estate market. So, if you do decide to sell your house, it seems like a very good financial decision. It does not have to be a forever decision either. You could sell, do the RV thing for a couple years, then buy a house later (in my opinion, more than likely at a LOT less than current prices) and check out some places that you may want to relocate in the future while you're RV-ing. Good luck to you guys!

Learn about RV issues like warranty requirements on repairs that are only done in Indiana when it breaks down and long wait times. Read the fine print at dealerships and don’t buy if you can’t return. Steve Lehto is a lemon law lawyer on youtube who has videos on it. One guy bought a new RV that broke down in VA first week and he couldn’t return it after learning he had to tow it to Indiana for warranty repair that had a year long wait time. I would sell the house and buy a smaller home like a condo and rent it out. Rent an RV and travel for a year. Make your decision on buying an RV after a year. You will know exactly what RV you want or if you still want one. Watch RV travel channels to learn everything you can and connect with those communities.

It sounds like a fun and adventurous idea however, there are a few downsides to consider. RV’s are not made to last as long as houses and there can be considerable repair costs, sometimes more than on a house. There is also the issue of not being anywhere near a dealership or place to do the repairs when they occur. The loan rate on an RV can be much higher than on a house, if you plan to take out a loan on it. You don’t build any equity with a RV like you have in a house because there is no land with it. It’s like a car in that respect. Sometimes security can be an issue too. Especially if you ever plan to stay on BLM land in your travels from one site to another. Certain desireable sites can be very hard to come by at times during the year, like in winter. You are at the mercy of the going rates. A lot of time needs to be spent in planning where to stay and that is not something that you are use to doing. These may not be deal killers but you need to keep your eyes open to know what you are getting in to and both of you will need to be on board to keep your relationship going strong. I wish you all the best if you decide to make this change. It will certainly make for great and fun videos!!!😊

Yea I know people who have done the RV life... In fact one had created a very large online audio/video forum and Best Buy took note of it. He sold the house and they decked the RV (Bus) out with every conceivable mobile device and they travelled around the country to events showing it off. That all said beyond the details of life transition RV life is not necessarily grand, most the RV parks have everyone so packed in you cant fart with the neighbor saying excuse me LOL. Whatever the expense your calculating to travel ADD MORE. Now if it were me well what I'd do if I wanted RV travel is like others said, give a test whirl first. But if ya' dig it sell the house, get the beans in a row and look towards buying a lesser home somewhere that maybe at some point you do rent out, either way, its home base. Then with excess dough left over get an RV and do your thing. You might have to scale up over some time to a larger RV and of course use youTube as many roaming folks do to generate more dough. Be crafty about it, your smart and of course the female get's the page views... Caitlyn Cruises, whatever. Towards the biz you've many options... Why not have your fulfillment gig kick the order out and handle return or select someone who can draw a buck off every one out the door per se or maybe some trusted couple or friend who's renting your lesser new home. Sure down where you are in Florida cost of living is "Shebang" compared to many other places. Look to those affordable places, if your drive is costing you $1900 a month heck you can have mortgage where I live for less than that. But you want the renter paying that. Keyword my friend is think ahead the game because how long are you going to travel two years? Five? Then what. Its the then what that need be solved in advance.

Watched the 2nd video 1st. Have been thinking about doing this for a cpl years now. Getting divorced and selling the house this has been heavily on my mind along with a few other things making money along the way. Im thinking more of a truck and 5th wheel toy hauler for the inventory and staying in a location for a cpl months possibly. We'll see what happens.

Hey from Houston, I'm new to your channel thanks for the good tips on reselling. Sounds like your business is strong I would keep it going from where you live now. The economy may get worse depending on the election results? If it was me I would pay off my mortgage faster so you are debt free. Then maybe when you are in your fifties do some RV traveling. It is always a positive to be close to family. Good luck with your decision.

Wow car payment and insurance is $1900 that is ridiculous. I have one car I'm paying on, but have other vehicles like an RV and my insurance with 4 vehicles is $250 and car payment under $500.

You're young and don't have kids. Now's the time to try new things and go on an adventure. You will always be able to purchase a new home later. You can also do Amazon from the road fairly easily.

I've thought about doing the same thing and selling smaller items. However, I would also like to have a house again having not had one in years.

Why not source on the road and send all your items to your fulfillment partner.

So, I am assuming that you will be keeping fulfillment center that you currently have operating. If so, you could use the mailing address for that business as your ebay shipping address. I am guessing you have staff working at the fulfillment center. Couldn't one of them handle return issues that come up while you are on the road?

Yup the fulfillment center is in new hampshire now and could handle itr

I love it! What about keeping your house and renting it. Then your bills will be covered. You'll still earn equity. And it's very low risk.

Not sure I can really add anything of value. There has been so much information shared. A lot to sift through. Im sure you will figure it out. I'm not much of a risk taker when it comes to huge things/decisions like this. I will say that because of that, I have not pursued career opportunities that dreamed of. Whatever you decide, do it for the right reasons and you will always find a way to make it work.

Why would you not keep your inventory with your warehouse/shipping service? Most UPS stores will accept packages complementary for travels. You just arrange with them in advance and pick it up once delivered.

@@Oatchi329 I would. I didn’t WANT to. But it’s the solution that makes most sense

Don't ditch everything you've worked for just yet. If you're in too much house now that you have the fulfillment center for storing items, downsize. Here's the reality, RVs depreciate by a vast amount the minute you buy them. The really big ones can cost a couple hundred thousand dollars and remember, it's a vehicle that must be maintained and have gas to go anywhere. About the time a brick and mortar house in the same price range would be paid for and have appreciated in value, you'll be looking to replace your RV that now has very little value. It's like buying a new house every 10-15 years and having nothing to show for your investment. Downsize to a smaller house, but a smaller, affordable RV, and take long vacations to your heart's desire, but don't go all in; you're too young and will lose a ton of money if you do.

Take my advise, sell it now. I've had the big house with all the expenses for almost 25 yrs & it was nice but, not worth all the troubles & expenses. Travel & enjoy life while you're still young & healthy. Everything else, you can figure it out as it goes. I live in a smaller place, out of debt & can travel whenever I like with no worries.

You need to factor in maintenance on a RV driving it full time. Think about the plumbing for example. In your home is doesn't move. On todays bumpy 3rd world roads plumbing is going to take a beeting. RV maintenance is very expensive. All the money you save in bills can easily be put in regular maintenance on RV's. That is why i don't do it. I have thought this through about a year ago.

rent a small apartment is my only idea about ebay, i know nothing else about the other stuff, ive rented all of my adult life and i like owning an apartment rather then a home because i dont have to pay to fix anything and depending where you rent an apartment they can be very low in cost and being that you dont really want to live in it and it would mostly be just for ebay i think it would be a good idea just make sure the building has good security and office staff when it comes to the ebay stuff.
