Thank you for bringing back this series, I played through Factions and Nightfall last year and it was just as good as I remember, couldn't believe how alive the player base is for a "dead game"

Factions was the last of the campaigns that I completed. To me, it was the hardest campaign...mostly because of the Faction points needed to progress the story.

I could share a little embarrassing story. When I played GW back in the day… I didn’t knew you could upgrade your armor. I played assassin till Lvl 20 with the starter armor because I didn’t know you could buy new armor (and I was broke all the time)….. I got oneshotted regularly and asked myself, why GW was so hard all of a sudden.

I really wish they would go back and give prophecies henchies better skills. Some of the henchies don't even have full bars in the Crystal Desert.

Factions was my jam back in the gw1 days. I came into the game just before eye of the north came out so I came a bit late. However! SoS ritualist was busted and was my bread and butter so everything your doing feels so familiar to how I did it back in the day. Loving the series, keep them coming doombox!

I haven't played Guild Wars in a decade. I've been feeling the nostalgia though and will be picking it back up. I never beat any of the various campaigns, but I did play them all at least some including Eye of the North. When I do buy this again, what campaign would you recommend starting with? And what class? I remember I played an Elementalist in core, assassin (maybe?) in Factions, and I don't remember the last campaign at all besides some of the starting area locations.

Squish melee, everything explodes, new players, no incentive to do a core profession (no eotn debuff for instance), etc. Anet was not ready nor was the player for factions. It is better than most really, especially in the new frozen state that GW is. On release. Meh, I have the bonus items but missed spirit spam hell weekend so I can diss it. I main an assassin. When I logged back in after a 7 year break, I still didn't have daggers loaded. The state of play was disappointment then.

Factions my least fave with tunnel/ underground cities, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE JQ!! Wish it was active, **siigh**
