As mediocre as the maps are: the biggest complaint has to be the rampant packet loss and PC performance issues. The impact of packet loss should go without saying but A LOT of PC players are having problems getting 60 fps on low settings even with higher-end setups.
@@SilverStallion.eSports I mean 3080 is a hell of a card, it would be weird if it ran badly. I personaly am having problems with 6750xt, cant get over 90/100 fps on low 1440p, while it ran fine during beta.
the time to kill is horrible, its off by one bullet and the difference is extremely noticeable. that being said bo3 had the best maps of all time for cod
I honestly think red card is a good map, the only problem abt it is it’s too big, I was honestly surprised to see a whole entire soccer field/stadium the first time playing it, but yea I still think red card is not that bad
I feel like I'm back in High School playing this much CoD, and I've ONLY touched Zombies. I hear MP is the weakest aspect, and after watching this video I can understand why. Still find it super cool there are maps within maps that you can only find with free cam/spectate, but yeah they should really look into actually optimising the experience so the packet loss isn't absurd for just a handful of maps (making them automatically the LEAST played despite having cool designs).
Zombies players are eating GOOD GOOD this year lol. I find all the map stuff super interesting, and I hope that Treyarch can find a better way to optimize the maps so they take up less space/cause less latency issues!
idk feel's like a major downgrade from coldwar zombies we could repair windows back then and also have a proper story line now its play till level 21 and exfil since the XP gains drop drastically from level 21 and so on feels super weird to be even called zombies and feels more like Vanguard zombies but with a town to run around in or a boat to sail...
From what I’m seeing the biggest problem with bo6 is streamers grinding this game out in record time making it extremely sweaty for people with 9-5 jobs
It feels like a more polished version of the beta, not like what should be the full release. On top of weird map design, no battlepass, constant glitches, just feels unpolished still
@roofoh2210 sure the battlepass isnt the main thing, im just looking forward to it. Earned these free cod points, im tryna buy the pass. Still feels unfinished besides it. How many cods are the guys gonna walk through some random area on the home screen, if its not glitching and just black
I've literally only been playing zombies. SBMM makes MP completely unplayable. If I try to play multiplayer, the sweats are gonna make me punch a hole through my monitor.
This zombies is terrible reminds me of Vanguard but with a town or a boat to sail in no story line no repairable windows I want cold war zombies back asap
My biggest complaint is the fact that I’ve been falsely shadow-banned since Saturday for playing one good game and now I’m just stuck in cheater lobbies and Activision Support absolutely no help
@ I’d love to see more bo2 inspired stuff in this game, only reason I’m grinding multiplayer camos this year is to get diamond lol Love the content man, we’re eatin good this year!
That's a server issue man. Every conspiracy theory that players have all go back to that. The same shitty servers on a new game that needs to be on updated servers.
Honestly they feel either really really small or really really big and they’ve over complicated some of the routes through the maps or added some of the longest range camp spots for the gremlins who refuse to move
I think one thing that can really point out the issues is the fact that there's a prestige 1 challenge you physically cannot complete because there is no mp map with a 250+m sightline The maps are fun, they really are for the most part, but i wish there were less cramped maps, yknow? not big, just a bit more spacious
The problem with any math and call of duty is that there’s no destruction and the character is moved too fast, which the gates any characteristic of the map or cover in the map if players move slower, you could enjoy the map enjoy the cover, and if there was destruction, you could shoot through cover Blow apart walls. If the game was like rainbow six siege, it would be amazing just with respawns
all the time. Some matches my guns kill, other matches when i play the same way, shoot for about the same time or amount of bullets, and I lose the fight. Somethings up with the way the game registers the data
my hypothesis is that the reason they have done the full map of low Polly is to keep the download size at a reasonable volume. You wont need multiple files if its just 1 big file with the rest just un rendered.
believe me they would make all new maps that don't tie into warzone and campaign if they could but doing that would make the file size 300 just for bo6 and not the 80 or so it currently is
Remember the days when every AAA Shooter required at least 1 really GOOD *Snow* Map. The Lighting in all Locations looks like it’s set in the Afternoon as if Mornings and Evenings don’t exist. Night Time maps kind of only work for me if Night Vision is available because last two games got me addicted to Canted Sights and Tac-Stance. Instead of all three lane maps consisting of Russian Facilities, Shipping Yards, an abandoned factory with cargo containers for campers, or some random desert in the Middle East that nobody gives a crap about. Let’s ask for them to make something original for Season 1.
To be honest, BO6 has reignited my love for Call of Duty. I haven’t kept up with any of the games since BO4, and yet this one just feels like the old days of grinding camos on BO3 to me. Love the zombies, love the multiplayer, and I can’t wait to clock more hours in.
The biggest issue is not the map layout or packet burst, but that they aren't just made with omni movement in mind. I seem to be one of the few people who thinks that the movement doesn't either belong or is way too overturned for the maps.
Rewind isn't a part of liberty falls at all. People are just saying that because it looks similar but it's not at all the same. There's no bowling alley, no two story motel, no church ect which are the main buildings in liberty falls. The mall area is nowhere in liberty falls as well
Bro there's literally a billboard that says "Welcome to Liberty Falls", a crashed transport van that says it's from Liberty Falls, and you can just tell by the way the enviroment looks.. or y'know the fact that the plaza sign says "Liberty Shopping Plaza". or the police and swat vehicles all with Liberty Falls written on them
I hope they never add the riot shield. So tired of dealing with turtles and having to play a specific way to deal with them. Nothing should ever make a player immune/resistant to bullet damage.
Mp is stressful and it feels like every player is tryharding like there’s no tomorrow. Also cause sbmm is a thing. While i find myself actually enjoying zombies more. Its chill but at the same time, has immersive gameplay.
As a kid, I would always try and see if I could find connections to other maps. I always liked going into spectator to see if I can find a link between 2 different maps, or even a zombie/campaign map. So these maps being connected the way they are, to me, is really fucking cool and I am so down for it. But I get the performance issues it brings, which sucks
My biggest complaint for this game is honestly the gunplay. It just doesn't feel as connected as other CoDs. MWIII felt rock solid but this title just feels off. You're penalized for chaining movement with shooting and can't fire for almost a full second so anyone standing still has an advantage in a lot of cases. As you said though the maps are mid at best with horrible spawns that are sticky but revolve around the player to make it hard to trap
The game feels really good and the movement is just different enough that it doesnt feel as spastic as the new MW games while also having movement feel really free and just kinda fun
Mw3 has the best rendition of the small map mosh pit with the score requirement being increased for tdm, kill confirmed, from 100 to 125 and 75 to 125 as well making the match longer. Face off mosh pit could learn a thing or two. And don’t get me started on 100 points for domination holy shit
A big complaint I have is when I shoot down the HVT my bullets do 0 damage when HVT goes down which gives them enough time for them to take out their pistol and kill me.
first off in MWIII you could actually find a bunch of other mp maps outside of various maps in the game. For example on departures you could find low poly versions of Terminal and even Broadcast from COD 4 outside the map. Secondly, my biggest gripe with MP maps being from warzone is that they all have the same skybox and lighting, which kinda makes them all feel like the same map rather than seperate and unique maps. its also just super lazy to just have warzone spots as MP maps rather than everything being different
@@kylanrichards9897 any map from bo2 with new textures would be better than all bo6 maps rn. The maps on bo6 are too small, and the ones that are a bit bigger are way too open, as such the matches tend to happen in the cramped buildings anyway
I think it's funny how people say "treyarch cooked" when they're doing the same thing all the other studios have done, make warzone map, make small maps out of warzone map. No wonder the maps are trash
I HATE 60% of the maps on this game. I think the small to medium maps are the way to go. But some of the maps over complicate with unique routes that just make things confusing. A lot of empty space in the middle of maps as well. Hopefully they can make some adjustments come szn1.
The maps aren't even big, most of them are medium and small. And what's wrong a hidden alternate path or two? It makes for more interesting encounters and make the maps feel a little more unique. And it's not like mw2019 where there were a billion windows, doors and other hiding spots everywhere and some genuinely massive maps. If you find these confusing, God forbid you play bo1 maps, especially the dlc ones.
First, I was like "Finally someone big is addressing map quality!!!" But after watching the vid... Well, I guess the tiktok movement brainrot demo won.
And what's wrong with the map quality? So far I haven't seen really any problems with them besides some of them feeling a little too condensed or small.
Do you think we make get past black ops maps each season based on off the prestige icon orders? Cause with with nuke town being the bo1 style as season 1 map.
I was dissing the game thinking it was gonna be garbage, I am taken back somewhat and loving it so far! Definitely need some better maps (bigger ones) and the kill time feels spotty
man i'm having so many issues with BO6 mostly with hit registration, i'll shoot someone point blank and the first few shots that are on target don't register, but the maps are awful, they should stick to Small - Medium maps 100%
So far, I'm digging the launch maps, sure spawns can be a bit of a clusterfuck (looking at you, stakeout) but other than that I'm liking it. Rewind is my favorite map so far because not only its good for sniping, but it has that frantic site in the video store, especially when playing domination
I mainly play counter strike, but sometimes play cod when a new one comes out. I find the map design in cod so strange. I can appreciate that they try new things, but there's a reason why most good maps tend to be 3 lane maps.
the inconsistent ttk the no headshot mulitiplier even though most camos require headshots, the water map too big, the mini nuketown map too many headglitches, red card HUGE, infind that only 1 5th of the maps are playable
Not one map in this game gets me excited to play. They are all honestly not fun. Scud, believe it or not is the most playable one. They are all point blank, spawn slop arenas. I don't understand why they did this. The maps really make the game, and this game has terrible maps.
my biggest complaint is that the game still gives alot of advantages to people who camp and enjoy camping, also some of the cammo challanges are pretty stupid aswel, shotguns and snipers should need one shot kills and not headshots to get the cammos, they should only get that as a gold cammo
Leveling up also seems to take way too long. I get the challenge, and even going 30+ kills in most matches… you move up like half a level bar same with weapons
Wait huh? Rewind isn’t in Liberty falls? Does he mean the map takes place like canonically in Liberty falls? Because the buildings in rewind are no where to be found in Liberty Falls
The reasons these maps fail is like Disney movies. When you favor a specific group you often fail to help the whole. Just because the simple minded love the meat grind some of us prefer the ability to move without the enemies in your but the second you spawn. One of the things best able to help is if you remove the cocking of your freaking gun each time you spawn in. That immediately gives a disadvantage to anyone trying to spawn in while the moron aiming into your face has a fully working gun to get first shot while your the deer in headlights
The only map that i have a complaint with is Lowtown and maybe Red Card, they aren't the best. Every other map is pretty good to me, my main complaint is the performance issues i have a PC that should be able to run the game perfectly fine but i get packet burst almost every game. I know so many other people are experiencing this issue also.
Personally the issue with multiplayer for me is the camo it’s somewhat hard for headshots for snipers shotguns and pistols like idk what mode to play for easy headshots for them
