Brought my 22 year old son for the first Time to REDBUD and he took some killer pictures of LaRocco‘s leap got a real good one of Plessinger and he went out Saturday night to Walgreens and had it made into a poster for me. Now we’re going to have to figure out how to get it signed best day ever at Redbud

Man… I’ve been going to Redbud for 25 years and I have to agree, I think that was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it. It may have even surpassed the last MXoN. Idk if it was the cooler than normal temps or what, but it was INSANELY crowded. On one hand, I’m glad to see this great sport grow and get the recognition it deserves. But on the other, it was also the most annoying year I’ve had there viewing wise. I brought my cousin for his first time and couldn’t even show him a start from the fence line, it was FOUR people deep minimum all the way around the last/first turn area. I’ve never seen it that crazy. The hill overlooking the rollers was nearly unwalkable, usually there’s a defined path or two but people just sprawled everywhere. It’s hard to be mad, it’s a double edged sword. I like the growing popularity. But it’s not like the 2000’s, you definitely can’t walk the track throughout the day and get a fence spot wherever you choose. You have to get there early and pick one spot on a fence to watch all day, which kinda sucks. Redbud may still be the pinnacle overall experience, but I think I like my other two mainstay stops(Spring Creek and Ironman) better now because the crowds aren’t oppressive.

Brought my 4 month old son to his first redbud race and stood at the fence for 35 mins plus holding him to see this beautiful end. If you look at 1610 you can see my wife at the fence line in her red white and blue behind hunter Lawrence shoulder ❤😂 amazing

I went to every national at Unadilla, Southwick, and Broome-Tioga in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They never had the big crowds like today’s races. ‘24 Southwick was unreal! And Redbud looks the same. I love it! The sport has grown in a good way.

Not using the scoop tire now they know red bud does have its hard pack base it so deep in sugar sand u could struggle on track with it.deegan said the starts are all discked deep u need the scoop..i wondered if u could tire for the race but now theres no question...i think the scoop in most early wet muddy track condition is also the tire till the track drys in..but still so much sand has been brought in i think back to des nations when Tomac killed in the rain...the track was just so sandy..so a scoop is the hot ticket
