I'm not entirely over how the original Figen gave himself a whole tragic backstory and then proceeded to not interact with the party or do any of the story hooks and left before even doing a second session once he realized that joining cooperative game where you don't cooperate with people isn't fun. Like, what was his game plan? How did he think it was going to go?

this reminded me of my first DnD session where I was the DM, basically all my players played the same character archetype, "I lost what I called family because of some random shit involving elves and because of that I don't trust no one else on the planet" that and the fact that none of them bothered to have any support skills.

The delineation between "legend" and "cryptid" is highly invaluable. All legends are interesting to know about, if not even maybe catch a glimpse of, interact with if possible. But then cryptids only fulfil maybe the first 1.5 requirements. Never knowingly seek out, or engage with a cryptid. You may just end up on a milk cartoon or a t-shirt.

Usually when people name a character after a weapon or include a weapon in their name, it’s something that makes sense for the setting, like Mace or Dagger. To want to do that and yet choose something that completely clashes with the world the character exists in is certainly something.

The way you told the story with your scripting, the editing style, pacing and music blended together perfectly. Most would just tell it briefly and focus on saying how cringe it is, but this helped sell the edginess and cringe and bring the humourous side out of it. Very immersive, superb work. I got reminded that we really live in a *society*, if only for a few minutes.

Like, the party rolls up and hears muffled nu-metal, and discovers that their evening dining with Strahd has been interrupted by this guy they saw at a bar once. He still says nothing. Strahd is just as confused as you are.
