I mean, stun is still very doable, since outing Inspector Boarder was always kind of a pain when running face first into Solemn Judgement or the Moon Mirror. Still, reducing Stun's consistency is always better than nothing. I'd rather they'd just ban these stupid cards, but... you know...
Knowing Konami, they're hitting all the others to bring back Imperial Order. He's even got an animation and everything. We are also prolly gonna get halq back and auroradon banned with that logic.
So glad to see Fenrir hit, the card is probably one of the most powercrept cards Konami has ever printed. Free special summon, searches a card, non destruction removal all in a single card is ridiculous.
@@zenbozic6184SP doesn't search itself for free or isn't played at max copies in decklists because its either a free 2400 body / material, or can chuck your opponent's monster into the banish pile for having the audacity to play the game, lol. Fenrir is absolutely one of the worst cards Konami has put to paper and is right their with Maxx C in every deck in rank that isn't burn or stun.
"Birth Control" was hands down the most annoying build of Kashtira, Ariseheart Pass often just outs itself. But it affects almost none of the Engine builds so it's just a funny hit to see. I still think Branded Regained is the more annoying grind game focused Continuous Spell but it's even MORE pointless to limit that one thanks to Beast and Retribution, so leaving it alone until they're ready to ban it(if they ever do at all) is fine.
Idk I personally like playing against the birth control version much more but then again I also never really minded sky striker and there are a ton of people that find them obnoxious as hell. I take control any day over stun.
I completely forgot that Kaiser Colosseum was one of those cards that Konami just completely forgot to ban when Master Duel released. Am I crazy for thinking that this card will actually be more of a problem now, just because Konami got on the loud speaker and reminded everyone about it?
kashtira loses to dark hole, mmmmmmmmm better ban every card. meanwhile, let's have that circular shit continue, full combo, 10 negates on your opponents turn.
I swear they limited destruction because of five rainbow magician. You can use it pop your opponents set cards so that you can hit them with the mystic mine effect.
Hopefully Gold Pride will come out soon. PUNK as an engine is basically off the map with Chaos Ruler gone. I wanted to play the deck a bit more because it has amazing art.
@@FrankOcean-- Specifically because of Punk. The monster was not made with a deck that pays life points in mind. It’s next to impossible to clear. You would need to crash a huge boss monster just to lower your life points enough without killing yourself and it also has a free banish.
D-Link is one of my top 2 favorite decks of all time. Dragons are notoriously adaptable though so I dont expect the deck to drop much if at all. It'll be fun to see the adaptations.
There are existing replacement options like Red eyes or Dragonmaid stuff, but let’s be real Dlinks has to look for what? 6..? Yeah probably about at least 6 replacements since banned white gives little reason to run black or even chaos space. Never mind chaos ruler which was a robbery card on its own.
I can't see it being tiered anymore. Rogue at best. Was watching tempest play some variations yesterday. But it just does not look resiliant. Disruptions have a real impact now. U will often get to seals with regained/beast and pass. But still a lot of tinkering with the deck needed, so we will see.
The problem is that most of the replacement options D-Link has are normal summon starters rather than extenders. Combine that with the sheer number of cards that should be heavily considered replacing if not outright replaced: Definitely 2 Wyverburster and 2 Collapserpent Probably 3 Seyfert Maybe 2 Chaos Space That's 9 cards to consider replacing. I think there's unironically a world where Dragunity Remus starts seeing play again. The main reason people weren't running it was because Chaos Space and Chaos Ruler incentivize you to stick to light and dark monsters.
@@carstan62there are extenders, it is just seyfert and chaos space were amazing with the baby dragons. Remus and maybe tempest are good but extra deck will be even more tight.
@yunfanji Extra Deck only gets tight if you're trying to run Dragunity Synchros, but you can get by with just the Romulus in the ED and a Main Deck package (mostly for Link fodder) of: -Remus x3 -Ravine x2-3 -Legatus x1 -Gold Sarc x1 -Tempest x1 That's 8-9 cards right there, but I'd probably recommend holding onto at least one Seyfert to get Lubellion to hand easily and at least one Chaos Space (since even if it's only discard fodder for Ravine, we can get the second Striker back after the DMD banish with a draw)
Oh no D-Link has to commit to summons now and doesn't automatically end on their main combo through 3 handtraps if they had exactly enough extenders to get to a lv8 Synchro. Now all that's left is for Branded Regained to be banned. What's functionally a +3 every turn it stays on field shouldn't be long this world.
Or just ban Lubellion. Can't search pizza hut or regained with it. At least then you have to draw it or i guess you could search it with aluber if you're smoking a bit of that za za.
@@Lucyvong No, it's just that dragon link is a very frustrating deck to play against because any hand is something along the lines of two-three 1 card full combos and an inverse amount of handtraps/counter hand traps And because the deck draws so many times during their standard combo of you have say 1-2 hand traps or you Endboard is sub 4 interruptions you HAVE to pray they don't have an extender and just stop them as early as possible before they snowball and guarantee themselves extenders and follow up. If we were to revisit Master Duel Formats I'm 100% certain D-Link has been among the top 3 for a long time now.
@@IC-23 I meat the plus 3 every turn that's not even a good play but yeah d link is kinda strong but I think konami was a bit overzealous with this list
@@gatocochino5594 A world where Chaos Ruler ends up an XYZ material isn't one that feels anywhere near as busted as it being 2 link materials for wombo combo decks.
Already with you Crafty! Lmao; btw, really been enjoying your Dragunity list running Dis Pater and Ringowurm. Sat out of Ranked so long that I was down in Silver, and I'm up to Diamond 2 from within last week.
Not maxx C on the ban list = bad list. 2 years playing the same 8-9 non engine piecies in EVERY deck. no matter what they do, if maxx c isnt hit its a bad list that changes nothing to experience of 60% of games that are still decided by the resolution of Maxx C.
I think Punk Zombie is hurt way more by the chaos ruler ban than Dlink or Tear. That was a decent rogue deck that is now massively lacking in consistency.
@blaked.4571 I feel you man; technically, I can just replace Ruler with any Level 8 Synchro to set up Astartu, but part of the fun was praying to hit Magnificent Mafteal and send a few Normal monsters to the GY off of the Ruler excavation. How am I supposed to get Normals in the GY now? :( maybe the Menacing Mantis to send Gokipole and summon a Normal Insect?
I think this hit killed Tears in MD now too (that is until we get the Horus cards and maybe even then). But I won't deniy that Zombie Punks got cought in the cross fire
Fenrir and tcboo hits were great hits to take the annoying parts out of vs (shifter next plz). wyverberster and chaos ruler banned hurt dlink, but its still going to be playable. Only thing i wish i saw was a ban to bystial lubelion as a branded+dlink hit. It getting branded regain and other bystials do so much against so many decks, and i think really should have been the hit over wyverburster. Aside that, big wins for everyone, except those that hate branded.
I don't particularly hate branded. But it already being the best deck with no hits is a little crazy. They keep on getting new support as well to the point that if they don't resolve branded fusion, it barley means anything.
Every single time this community says a deck is dead, it always pops up again in a month and everyone gets mad again. Stun, Dragon Link, Kash will still exist in some capacity. Someone will find a way.
Even though I'll miss Chaos Ruler, I'd be lying if I said his ban wasn't warranted. Wyver, on the other hand, is clearly to make way for the Superheavy Samurai.
@@bl00by_ There is a difference between a good card and an unhealthy one. Chaos Ruler definitely falls in the unhealthy category. And “just draw the out” is not a valid defense
Still see some forms of stun trying to persist after this list, but very happy to see it get the proper crosshairs. Wish runick wouldnt have taken another punch tho for stuns issues.
As a kash player I am sad, still I'm happy for the playerbase in general. Less toys for stun and dragon link are nice. Glad nobody will run fenrir in non kash decks to get a free arise heart if i use shangri-la. I am in pain, however, because I know I will brick dozens of times without kash birth, not thrilled about that. I liked being able to use birth to do the absolute dragon gravity controller otk against weak boards. Can't link summon using theosis and riseheart though so that sucks.
I realize this is far from the largest problem with the meta, but the hits to desires, duality, and card of demise all significantly gut any chance Nurse Burn has at establishing their win condition
Please stop downplaying Runick in Master Duel. Randomly having your engine pieces banished with no counterplay is not healthy for a Bo1 format, stun or no stun.
Anything that hits dragon link is good news for me, annoying as shit to play against and I irrationally despise that its construction philosophy is just "cannibalize literally anything that's a light/dark dragon extender".
