Consider asking the editors to provide a slow motion of the swing after the real time speed for them. And if possible draw lines across the body to indicate important joint movement. For example with Garrett's golf swing. Your labs will be more effective and stronger that way.

Great video Grant & the rest of the Good Good boys! About 5 years ago, that thought of keeping my turn and weight transfer inside the arch of my feet brought me down from a 5 handicap to scratch and sometimes breaking par, and the added benefit was that I rotated my shoulders 110 degrees and hips to 45 degrees, which of course gave me more distance with all clubs and a lot more with the driver. My ball striking became excellent again and this at the age of 55. The starting of the swing with the shoulders first is when the light bulb went off in my head....it's what I used to do a long time ago when I first started golfing, and the game seemed easy to me at that time...I used to even go up on my toes at impact which generated a ton of speed...until some golf coach dude told me that it was bad for my swing...I should have never listened to him.

I've spent a lot of time on the RU-vid golf grind trying to figure out my swing and have yet to hear this. And it is exactly what I do!! I slide too far back making it so I have to work my way back to the ball (like Bubbie), so I'm 100% going to implement this next time I'm swinging

Thanks for the lesson guys. Really good info and love what you guys do. My tip for you guys would be improved wedge play. That's the main difference I see from you guys and D1 and pro golfers that are on the channel. I see you guys taking high loft wedges and full swinging them on approaches. Once I started taking a lower loft wedge flighting the shots became alot easier. Also shaft weight is a personal preference for feel and I believe is most important for wedges. Hope this helps and keep the videos coming!!!

Great video. This was one of my biggest issues my coach pointed out in my first golf lesson. I was swaying in my backswing and then moving way too much laterally through the ball. I think a really good video for Good Good Labs would be how to properly release the clubhead through impact without flipping the hands. After I started lessons last year I've gone from a 20 something handicap down to an 9 just by learning proper release, stopping the sway, and working on several drills. I do practice 4 or 5 days a week though.

This is the first eureka moment for me, when I got to my backswing, I realize I move my weight to outside my right foot which means I’m swaying, concentrating on inside you back foot actually helps me with straightening my backswing…huge pickup for me thanks grant!

Really good insight here. Would benefit greatly from a video on how/when to hinge the wrists in the backswing. Just recently realized I wasn’t hinging at all until the top of my swing and has been causing over swinging and a steep downswing

I just had a lesson this morning with John Martin in Pearland, South of Houston. I could watch this video to rehash what I just learned. I was letting my hips slide back too much and feeling the weight on the inside of the right foot is really helping me to transfer weight and rotate better without getting out of place.
@touristguy87
@touristguy87 Год назад
..yeah, really? Here's the problem with all of these coaching videos. How do you actually quantify the benefits and to what exactly do you credit them. Unless you can show what has specifically changed about your game and how much it has changed? The benefits are just subjective. All improvement rides on 3 things: knowledge, opportunity and execution. If you play enough golf, you're eventually going to realize where your game needs improvement and improve that part of your game simply by *trying* to improve it. Some will get worse in the short-term and better in the long-term. If you give the same lessons to 100 different players do you expect them all to benefit the same? Just think of all the players out there who are half or even a third of your age, likewise they've played golf half or even 1/4th as much time as you have, but they play better now than you have or will ever play. What can you say about the lessons they've taken? I don't even really see how Grant has made the other GG players any better. It wasn't like he beat Garret by 20 strokes per round, time after time. It wasn't like he always won the GG challenges. Did we ever see a series about Grant "on the road to pro"? No. It sounds like Grant knows enough about golf to know that he will never be a pro player. So he's trying to become a YT star instead and leveraging GG to get there. Show me a guy who wants to give lessons, any sort of lessons on any topic not to mention YT lessons on golf, and I'll show you a guy who wishes that more people would take him seriously. But all lessons are a waste of time and energy if you don't master them and then exploit them when given the opportunity to do so. It's easy to say that lessons have been mastered. Very hard to show an actual real-world benefit. Even harder to show a significant real-world benefit. There are a whole lot of people on YT trying to convince the world to take them seriously when they give free "golf lessons" on YT. If I really wanted to impress people with my knowledge of golf and give them free lessons, I'd have them play a round of golf against me and pick-up what they can learn from watching me actually play. Forcing them to admit in a real-world match that they are not good enough to beat me. I wouldn't stand in front of a camera posing people and babbling on about swing-planes, cupped wrists and "getting the club shallow". Let your shots do your talking. That's why we play the game. Because showing is better than talking. Talking is only good for people who can't back-up their talk with real actions. Start a national golf-ladder (and by ladder I mean you start with a bunch of guys and have them pair-off and play 1 on 1 winner take all and advance to the next level) or STFU. These same 5 guys have been playing against each other for years now. Does that mean that the best of them should give lessons to the others? I'll believe that when Grant shows his PGA pro card.

Tig I would love you to do one thing in your golf swing... Look on tour you won't find one player who's short of parallel and is across the line.. It's too hard to time being across the line and short of parallel. Just literally have the feeling of laying it off at the top and you'll be set, everything else is really good that you do.... And Garrett please stop listening to Luke... draw a line thru the lead side up every good players lead leg and youll see they all move 2-3" in front of it... It's not from sliding but from recentering at the top of there backswing into there downswing
