You inspired me to go through one more time, I had one drawer equivalent to much storage space, and I have started buying colors that look horrible on me. I did not realize I was trying to fill emty space and why I was trying to do it. Nothing can fill that void, but I'm letting myself move on from these issues.

I can’t see everything at once, my cashmere and wool items are stored 7-8 months a year in zippered bags in another room to keep them safe from moths. Other seasonal items are rotated in and out of my closet, I can only see the clothes for the current season at any one time.

For as long as I can remember, I've kept my closet pretty organized. This makes it easy for me to treat my wardrobe like a boutique, so I love that you mentioned that as a tip for better organization! 😊

I absolutely love your channel, since I came across your channel, my friends comment on how well dress I am, all the times, even when I’m in doors. The funny thing about it is, I have not purchased any new clothes. It is all because I have done a big declutter, I only left what I enjoy wearing.

🧥good tips. I have a huge wardrobe and don’t have the problem with room like many people, so I have to be conscious of having way more than I need. I like the idea of making shelves pretty instead of filling them with stuff. I use my dresser for storage of off season items as I really don’t need the drawers. I still have too much stuff and duplicates. I rarely lovean item of clothing so my challenge is actually finding pieces I love and feel good in.

I’ve worked quite a bit of retail and one thing they taught was spacing…plus using wax paper for metal rods which make the clothes glide and feel luxurious! 🧥 nothing irks me more now than than going into a store and the racks are jammed packed and squeak as you move clothes, I’ll immediately stop looking and not bother.

I have an access of clothes and beauty products. I have a good amount of space for it, it’s well organized. But In the rest of my home I have minimal things. (Minus plants) only 2 body towels, 1 hair towel, 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 cups (highly empty cupboards. Two drawers in my nightstand stand empty. Ottoman with storage In living room empty, large ottoman at foot of my bed is also empty. Also a few empty drawers in my dresser As I prefer to hang things. I do think I need to do a declutter in spring from my fall/winter wardrobe, and then again after spring and summer. I know I can reduce, and I actually am excited too (I recently moved). You inspire me to start being content in having less in my wardrobe as I do in other areas ❤ 🧥 I need to stop doing the duplicate thing, sorry for long comment!

I can see how some people may never get to the "too empty" point, because we all have different homes and needs and closets, but like you said, if it's well edited that's what's important 😊

These are great ideas! It's important to avoid "the churn" - constant decluttering and buying. One-in-one-out is still wasteful if people are buying a lot for no reason.

This is a great video. Can you tell me what make are the drawer dividers you used for the jeans drawer. I have tried searching but can only find the ikea type studded boxes.😢 thanks

I got rid of my drawers completely, and instead I have a rail in a storage cupboard where I put my Spring/Summer clothes or Autumn/Winter, depending on the season. I have a clear IKEA storage bag that I keep under the bed with sarongs, bikinis and above 35 degrees items 😂as we live in the UK, and unless we are abroad in Summer I really don’t need these few items. My husband and I keep a set of two small two drawers in our shared wardrobe space for our sports shorts/leggings etc. we also have a set of two drawers by our bedsides that we keep our underwear in. That’s all we have ever needed. I just hang everything up so that I know exactly what I’ve got. I’ve also made outfits match up to just a few bags and shoes.

This is a really good idea. A few years back I took the closet door off and placed my dresser inside of the closet directly under a clothing rack. It filled enough space that it gives the illusion that I have more clothing than I actually do and has kept me from buying more items that I don't need.
