The BIGGEST MISTAKE you'll make when camping is not making an official reservation. BUT there's a way to still find a campsite even if you made this rookie camping mistake. In today's British Columbia travel vlog, we'll show you guys how we went camping with no plans at all and share some tips on what not to do as a camper.
In this week's episode of our British Columbia Camping Series, we'll be driving 3 hours north of downtown Vancouver, BC to a beautiful turquoise blue lake called Lillooet Lake. We've made the biggest mistake of not making a reservation and we're rolling the dice and trying out luck to find a first come first served campsite on one of the four beautiful recreational campgrounds in Lillooet Lake, BC.
British Columbia Canada has definitely got some of the best places to camp and we can't wait to take you guys along on our journey. Join us as we make up for the biggest mistake of not making a campsite reservation and find a first come first serve campsite in Lillooet Lake, British Columbia Canada.

Finding a good campsite without a reservation might be the hardest part of camping. We took the risk and thankfully we found a good spot! We cannot wait to share with you guys episode 2 of our British Columbia Camping Series🙌 As usual please let us know if you have any comments, recommendations, and suggestions for us here❤️ Cheers!

So glad you enjoyed yourselves even more this time! You’re getting the hang of camping pretty quick. Last time I had a bunch of advice, but this time I only have a little. Just be aware that when it rains, water flows to the lowest points, and camping there will get you very wet. I always find a nice high ground place to put the tent, and string up a tarp above, and then it’s pretty hard to get soaked. You probably checked the weather before going though, and that was the only site to choose from. Looking forward to your next videos!

Thanks Dave! Yes it was quite busy during that weekend and we didn’t have a lot of options😅 but we didn’t know that we could’ve gotten soaked if it rained😅 Another golden tip!🙏

Hi Juliana! They have outhouses but we wouldn't say it was as clean as the ones from front country campgrounds.😊 It was also a little far from our spot😅

I personally don't like making reservations, it is a waste of extra money. There is many rec sites and trails. I find those way better then provincial parks. Most provincial parks they act like cops, takes all the fun out of camping.

Ohhh your meals look soo yum! Honestly better than I eat at home! Lol! The little portable flame that converts to a mini camp stove that you perch the pots on looks so scary lol! It seems like it could so easily topple over especially when adding to the pots or stirring the pots! Did you find it was more stable than it looks??
@NatandMax
@NatandMax 3 года назад
Yes it was scary! haha. We had to make sure that it's stable enough to cook before starting. They make it small like that because they're meant for backpacking trips 😊

@@NatandMax I would like to know if northern vancouver island (near the coast, not the mountains) is a mild temperature. Like, is it sometimes gets below zero?
