I think an important aspect of poker is knowing your opponent. Definitely love it when a Craps or BlackJack player decides to play poker. Its hard for them to show patience and they are definitely action junkies who are willing to take shots. Congrats!

I find since Brad Owen got big, a lot of people try to copy his style, but it just doesn't work as it's not their natural demeanour. This guy is naturally funny though, so this style of vlog works very well for him. Puts a smile on my face when I watch. :)

Story telling is great as we get enough hand analysis from everywhere else. Also, good catch on the live tell on that bottom straight when your opponent had the higher end of the straight. Live tells in the right spots will save or make you so much, more than any gto book or course will advise.

@@PokerBEAST i get your reasoning but eventually a guy shows you enough that you cant fold a pair against him. Obviously in theory or against a decent player u dont do that. But it went 6 ways preflop for 30 blinds. Gto is out the window. Just a slam dunk call given the circumstances

You have about 26% equity vs KK. You have a big lead over AhKh and similar. You have random overcards smashed. Calling seems mandatory, though if you both have lots of chips, the hand is much tougher. At some point you just have to take a stand and if you are going to fold this flop to this action, just fold 6s5s to starr.

They let you take your whole stack on a table change? At my home card room you can only bring over more than the max buy in if your table breaks- if you choose to leave you’re capped at the max buy in.

I played 2/5 today at Texas Cardhouse in Dallas. I got 10,10 and flopped 10,10. Heads up against an aggressive player. I let him keep betting. After being down several hundred and card dead, I was up several hundred after that one hand.

If the game is good, walking is silly. You come back tomorrow and what has changed...only the opposition. The whole "quit while you are ahead" idea is trash and is a favorite refrain for folks who don't understand gambling with an edge.
