It turned out so beautiful! I love this piece! Its toned colours and atmosphere. You are right that our mood influecnes the creative process and how we perceive it. Same with music. I was listening to the same music with a group of people and they all were ok with it and it gave them hopeful vibes but I just had this sad images and I was feeling pretty blue. I liked your other pieces too! And beach! You made me miss it!

Watching and listening to this video, I've just thought of a quote from JS Bach. "All one has to do is to hit the right keys at the right time, and the instrument plays itself." Which is sort of true and not true, like a lot of pithy quotes. Playing the violin, by contrast, means actively managing the intonation of every note, and every aspect of how each note sounds, through complex techniques. For the most part, the piano relieves us of having to deal with all that. If the piece isn't too demanding, you can zone out a bit while playing, and also get lost in listening as the instrument responds. I think you've done a great job here of capturing the feel of a moment like that. I'm taking bets that your next huge canvas project happens with less of a pause in-between. Sorry to hear about whatever got you reflecting on the fleetingness of life. Glad to hear your back pain has lessened.
