My love for travel started at a young age. My family would use any excuse to travel and take us on road-trips to get us to see and experience new pleases.
In my experience traveling makes you a more understanding person. Even if what you hear about a place or the residents of that place is true, once you experience it for yourself you gain an new understanding that turns you into a more sympathetic person.
While I worked Uber and Lyft for close to 3 years, whenever I meet a person that was well traveled, they typically were kinder and more understanding than people that didn’t. At least that is what I observed. Whenever I would pick up someone who traveled often, we would end up talking about our experiences and sharing travel tips and tricks.
Not only that, but when you are out on the trail, if someone sees another person who is on the side of the road, they will almost always pull along side and offer assistance. Traveling is truly a beautiful ”hobby” (if I can call it that) that brings humanity together.
This is the reason I blog my travels. I want to change everyone’s life, one destination at a time. As I always say. Money spent traveling … is money well spent.
