It's a food truck and all the food trucks I know of, all charge way more than normal restaurant prices. Same thing with food assembly halls as they'll charge you more for less. However, the good thing about food assembly halls are you can have multiple foods in one place.
Especially the ones that have the grill to serve. You get to pick your items, put them on the plate, choose a sauce flavor and it comes out steaming hot.
Right no way I would think of paying $55 for that crap, when you can dine in a nice restaurant for that price or cheaper and get more & better quality of food
I'm from Michigan and would tell everyone to stay far away from Detroit when it comes to food and for MANY other reasons The only reason people go to Detroit is for drugs or casinos That's literally all Detroit is good for
@@Product933 I live less than 15 mins from Detroit and would say the food in Royal oak, Farmington, bloomfield hills and Birmingham is 2000x better than anything you can get in Detroit I'd even say places like Clarkston, waterford and walled lake are far better. You can even go to like Saginaw and bay city. Then if you go up north Detroit doesn't even come close to places like Traverse city or Petoskey. So yeah Detroit food is pure garbage.
$55 is insane. I went to a Hibachi restaurants two days ago and the meal for my sun was 31 Filet mignon chicken and 5 shrimp(whole ). Also Soup salad rice and noodles for $31. Service was excellent.
ALOT of black owned businesses upcharge like crazy!! N we all know the mindset, “Oh you’ll pay them prices at Ruth Chris! But won’t support your own people!”. Or they taxing because they’re trying to maximize their profit lol. A lot of these places can only offer aesthetics, they lack the quality and definitely quantity!
I prefer the long wait for my food, it gives me the feeling that my food is actually being prepared and cooked properly instead of being pulled off a warmer and handed to me in three minutes.
Anything with the word “hood” in it, I don’t want it. My problem is a lot of Black Owned Businesses is that they focus too much on trying to be upscale so they can charge more without focusing on the product and the customer service.
@@lordeowstheking It’s a trend, mostly with these new age black businesses. I know a few and a majority of them just get into the game purely for gain. With no prior business knowledge. That’s why them prices are they way they are, that costumer service is lacking, them hours aren’t consistent, all these extra rules, the quantity is trash, and the quality is lacking!
I saw a scam in Detroit where they was selling $40 lamb chop dinners from a food truck on the corner of Dexter and Chicago. Ain't nobody walking down that part of Dexter with $40 for a lamb chop dinner. What Up Doe?
I legit don't understand why food truck/trailer charge MORE than restaurants. DID YOU KNOW: health departments only do an inspection ONE TIME before a food truck can be used and the only person who requires food safety training is the owner. wtf
If they reduce the items on the menu, they could serve wild caught salmon and wild caught shrimp. Serving a lot of items isn't always a good idea. Consistency is key. They are charging wild caught prices for farm raised catch.
@lanway95 that's kinda what i mean. black owned businesses stay pricing out their own people from their products. some of the most expensive food and clothes I've ever seen are from black own businesses. and the customer service be trash too.
Went to a Jamaican food truck and ordered one plate half jerk half curry with fries and rice. Dude said $40. I was gonna still pay but the woman ran me away by being mean on purpose.
One thing I give Chime even if you dont like it still recommend. That food was bs to the video they put out. Some of food to me look old. Need money back asap
- 00:20 she told me it would be 20-25 minutes. turned out to be 45 minutes . i've said the exact same thing you said. if its going to be 45 minutes TELL ME THAT. dont tell me 20 minutes JUST to get my money. then apologize after the fact. I've seen this so much in the D that I make it a habit not to pay until the food is done. -00:36 "if you think your going to bypass the weight time by calling your order. NOPE they dont answer the phone" bruh i have SEEN this in real time. in line ordering from a place and they just let their phone ring. its nuts. its like the places here only KINDA want your business smmfh. Welcome to Detroit.
$55 off a truck is first sign... If there was a seafood delight - Salmon / scallop / shrimp, could see it about $30. But waiting 45min & eating in a car because when you get to home / hotel, it's cold. & not worth it.
I agree with you but except for the small portions part, like how much food do you need? That plate would have sat you down for the whole day and you know it.
