not really imo, a phase is typically when you get a shiny you aren't hunting before the actual shiny you wanted. he got the shiny just not the right gender

@@Rose_flowerrs he was not hunting for a female, so he didn’t get the shiny he was hunting for. A similar idea would be getting the shiny without hidden ability when that’s what you were hunting for (like when adrive went 4 phases for alolan vulpix)

Oh my gosh, when I saw the video title, I assumed he meant that he accidentally reset after finally getting the shiny. Not sure if this is better or worse. At least Masada shouldn’t take as long

I had my shiny fail a few days ago. I was trying to catch a Kangaskhan in the Great Marsh, but they kept fleeing on me. Then on my third attempt in the Great Marsh, came across a random shiny Kangaskhan. Let's just say history repeated itself...😔

The first shiny I hunted in Sword was Galarian Zigzagoon and when I finally found one in the wild I accidentally killed it because I used the wrong move instead of false swipe. But then I started using the masuda method and luckily it didn't take too long to hatch a shiny that way

I mean, hey- Sassy's actually a pretty good nature for Wormadam. Defensive, doesn't care about its Speed. You got yourself the makings of a nice, sparkly slice of pepperoni pizza there, and while it is indeed sad that it is not the potential Mothim you were after, a Shiny is a Shiny, and so I say congrats. Seriously, though, I actually really like Sandy Cloak Wormadam, I think it's underrated, and so I'm of the opinion you can't go wrong with either gender of Burmy.

Funny that you mentioned a shiny Duskull. A shiny Duskull went towards me without me moving a single muscle, and I was going to catch it either way just to complete the Galar Pokédex. However, to my surprise, it was a shiny Duskull! It was the third time that I have ever encountered and successfully caught a shiny Pokémon! The first being a shiny Lillipup back in 2012, the second being a shiny Gurdurr back in 2014, and the third being a shiny Duskull dating back last week. When I saw the shiny Duskull, I freaked out and panicked because I didn't want to ruin this opportunity, so I just threw a Poké Ball at it for best of luck and it came out as a critical catch. I caught it with just using only one standard Poké Ball. This happened while I was playing Pokémon Sword.
