I think I have figured out how Thor in A Certain Magical Index gets his teleportation spell to work. He uses this turbo to rotate Earth under his feet. You have enlightened me, leeboy cook.
you really should cover the front of that impeller with at least a bit of mesh, otherwise it could get chipped and damaged by little children and stuff that gets sucked in
I'm becoming more and more convinced that engines are merely the accessory to the turbo and not the other way around. "What size engine do you have attached to your turbo."
Rockets are jokingly referred to as turbopumps with some other stuff attached. Over half of the design time in building a new rocket is in the turbomachinery.
Look into the Miller cycle. The piston and the turbine- compressor/expander are complementary. Each have an area in the heat cycle where they're at their best at extracting energy from the working medium.
yAyO I know right!!! Almost every RU-vid video aside from street outlawz he’s on he acts like a big whiny douche. He’s real cool on tv just brushes everything off doesn’t really say much just stays in the shadow of chief knowing his role, but in real life he’s a Dickhead acts rude to fans and gives smart ass answers when being asked straight up legitimate questions about cars SMH👎
Uh how about watch the video again an you can see an hear the car start shaking? An as far as the car shaking in other races his old car did shake all the time. He’s won an lost races with tire shake. His old car was beat to hell because of it I’m sure if anything Shawn was happy right here because that car was barely turned up at all an almost best Larson lol
Absolutely! In 2001 I was invited to spend the day in the pits at Heartland Park with the owner of a '95 pro-stock Camaro. Early in the day, this guy shows up to tune and take turns making qualifying runs. The guy was all business and hyper-focused. The fastest car there and the best driver. Watching him leave the line from the staging area was unbelievable. Just vanished. Larry is an icon.
I gotta say Mr Larson is one of my favorite because he builds the chassis, drives, engine builder and he is his own tuner. He does it all and not many can say that while winning.
I remember when I was younger watching Larry Larson when I lived in Missouri. He was a beast 25 yes ago and to this day still a force to be reckoned with.
@@antilagboostaddiction8322 it's so cool isnt it, seeing the walk ways around the engine for accessibility is what really blows my mind, the size of those things, and to imagine the size of the moving parts in those engines. crankshaft etc, WOW😱
But do we even know who is actually right? I mean, we do have a language that spells Gnat with a G, With that being said I would not be proud to display my knowledge of english grammer
I love how the categories are 'big tire' and 'small tire'. Those 'small tires' are way bigger than most tires I've ever seen on the street lol. They look huge.
I like the other driver’s attitude about not winning that pass. He talked about the sketchy shaking, making the wrong choice, and knowing the big S U C C S10 would pass. No “I don’t know what happened,” excuses blaming the car or wind, just a love for the sport and sharing the experience with a fellow racer. No bravado, just passion. The best of the automotive community
someday I'll be able to support you guys a little bit 1320 thank you for all the videos you guys really do a really nice job very nice quality every time love all your stuff
I've seen smaller snails on diesel locomotives! Dude, I have no further words except the next logical step is a Pratt and Whitney turbine. Add: Okay, I do have one further thought. An old timer at a shop long ago once told me about a particularly large supercharger sticking out of a 31 Ford truck that , and quote "I'd like to watch that thing suck the meat off a pork butt." (I believe he was speaking about the cut of meat and not literal, but you never know) I don't believe I'd ever seen anything close enough to warrant that description until now.
You can see the moment the tent in the background becomes sentient at 2:01. It went on to murder 530 people before a strategic airstrike called in by the national guard finally brought its rampage to an end.
Come on! If there is a boss level it's Larry Larson. "So the rules didn't say anything about size so..." That's some Rev. Smokey Y preaching right there. Got an atheist to say Hallelujah Amen!
I've been watching Larson race for many many years and have always been a fan that guy knows how to drive and is fast as fuck he is a legend and always seems to be a step ahead ... amazing
I have a 93' vette with twin 88mm turbos and a LT1 block. Quite the kick, inherited it from my dad for my 33rd birthday, i live in SoCal, so if anyone is familiar with highway 38 going up toward big bear then you know its a fun ride!!!
The biggest reason they do 1/8 mile is actually to make it more affordable; as crazy as that might seem with these caliber of cars. It gained traction in the Outlaw 10.5 class 15 years ago since 1/8 mile isn’t as hard on the cars as 1/4, so typically parts last longer. It made it easier for low buck teams to compete.
Those things are indeed huge. I've worked at a couple GE plants where they make the trains and even one where they rebuild the engines. They are no joke and the engines are as big as a room lol.
