Skipping is not as strong as you make it out to be. When you skip, you're not always improving your scoring. In lower stakes, this is not the worst thing, but why not play blinds and farm interest to spend on less random benefits? In higher stakes, scoring becomes a lot more important, and you can rarely afford to skip, since it means seeing less shops, less jokers, lower odds that you find good jokers. It also means less rounds to potentially improve a scaling joker. Skipping also hurts your econ, which in turn hinders your ability to keep up with the game. Anaglyph deck does make skipping a lot better because it lets you benefit more from the tags you decide to take.

I assume you’ve already found it by now, given that it’s been weeks, but it’s the Smeared Joker. It causes Spades/Clubs, and Diamonds/Hearts to be considered the same suit, for the purposes of jokers, hands, and blinds.

I don't think you're right. That technically is more than the arrangement that was run here (I think 2^16 off the ancient joker/hack group), that's only a 2^20 arrangement. I think targeting both brainstorm and blueprint at ancient joker is the most optimal play. But that's still only 2^24, AKA less than half a percent of the way towards the score and that's with nearly optimal ancient joker saturation. Roffle kinda knew he was cooked here, so he played to make the wee guy as big as possible, which means triggering hack as much as possible. Also, it's really not good content to sit down and pull out a calculator in the middle of a stream.

@@KaliAlkali the optimal play is two split triggers and on-trigger effects as evenly as possible. Targetting only hack gives 1.5^(1+1+1+1)=x5 per card, but if you swap one copy to the on-trigger effect (ancient joker) it becomes 1.5^((1+1)*(1+1+1))=x11 per card. you dont need a calculator for that
