All went downhill when they first started really focusing on the relationships and second when they went to multiple cameras and American, Law and Order style dramatic music. After 2006ish it was done. Law and Order the original is an amazing show a proper procedural drama but The Bill was good BECAUSE it wasnt slick and used a single camera. Just glad there's over 20yrs of series left for us to enjoy.
Law & Order? That show featured a lot of British Actor's and Actress's. ie, Madhur Jaffrey, Brenda "VERA" Blethin. Alfred Molina, also Sarita Choudry, to name but a few. Oh, and Alex Kingston. Maximum AMOUNT OF RESPECT TO ALL THE BINGE WATCHING FANS OF THE BILL W 🌏 RLDWIDE. Be well be safe and stay healthy and blessed 🙏🏿💯💜☮️ AND THE BEST OF 🇬🇧 Tish. This went down hill becasue people slowly lost respect for the police. Started losing views near the end of this is when things started to change. Talks where in for bringing it back. Ha wouldn't work now. Can you imagine lol
@@Beastgrows Not quite true. He suffered depression and a failed suicide attempt because his character was being written out of The Bill in 2007. No need to look it up. It's been common knowledge for years. Besides, he got the last laugh. The Bill ended three years later anyway.
The first episode of The Bill in 1993, which was still produced by Thames Television, but because Thames were no longer an ITV franchisee the show had to be presented to the ITV Network by one of the incumbent franchisees. Yorkshire Television, Central and (cruel irony as they beat Thames for the London weekday franchise) Carlton were amongst the companies who would.
Love these thankyou! Im sure ive seen nearly every episode from series 10 to 22! Between Drama channel on freeview and YT. The Bill in the 90s would be my Mastermind Specialist Subject!
The health and fitness of these cops is laughable. It's a constant in this show. I love it but damn, they go down easy. 20 years on they will smack you around and cause as much physical damage as possible and get away with it.
