Several of these have 2 names and reversed colours because a major US music store chain charges $10 more and has exclusive rights to a version of the billionaire od, rotary speaker emulator and the trem.
When Dan Electro first came out with their pedals, they were made of pretty plastic! I couldn't figure out how a roadie would allow these to survive! They were certainly attractive though!
Thanks for the suggestions! We plan on adding more to the series in the future. I think we have 3 or 4 to release in this batch. More to come in 2021. I’ll add these to the list.
I didn't some trolling on guitar forums but couldn't find the answer to this. I have never played the Cool Cat or Tuna Melt tremolos so I can't even tell you if they sound the same. -Beard
@@PJandtheBeard Thanks. I appreciate the reply. They have the same controls, and to my ears, from you video, they sound at least similar. At the typical Danelectro price points I can't imagine that they are constantly redesigning or tweaking their circuit designs for each new Trem pedal. They seem like more of the type to just repackage things that have worked for them. The short of it is I have the Cool Cat but I hate the layout (knobs on the back side of it), and I"d love to rehouse it, but I'm not up for that kind of project, so a cheap way to go would be one of these C.E.O. or Filthy Rich pedals. Thanks again.
@@PJandtheBeard My exact thoughts on the soldering. I can solder/rewire guitar wiring, pots and pickups. Anything more nano than that, and I have zero confidence in pulling it off! For now I may just stick with my Cool Cat. It sounds exactly the way I want a tremolo to sound, so I should just set it, forget it, and move on. Thanks for the reply!
