@@kingtuckgesus8879 you say that till he starts crying and wants out cause he not getting over 10 targets a game…. I bet bills fans felt the same way about the Vikings situation
Texans got an elite receiver to pair with Collin’s and Tank. He’s on a one year deal so he’ll be in his best behavior so that he can get a good contract next season. Texans are all in on the is year and if it doesn’t work they’ll retool again. Nick Caserio has been smart not giving out long term deals so he can readjust the line up every year
Yeah but getting a wr who will be amazing the first half and be decent in the second and a 4 round and 6 round pick for a 2 round is a steal they can just take him out the lineup nexts year if he plays bad and if he play bad in the second half or at all dell and Nico and take overy it is a good trade
@@thefirstdownsquadI don’t yall understand the buffalo deferred to the run game, so Josh Allen wasn’t passing the ball to really any of his receivers at all. He was running the ball with James Cook because their offense was run heavy at the end of the year. It wasn’t past heavy anymore, so none of the receivers gave Davis or Stefon Diggs were getting the ball like that.
hopefully u played him the first 9 weeks bc he was the third best wr in the nfl at tht point. not his fault they took the ball out of their qbs hands bc he doesnt know to throw the ball out of bounds sometimes
@@matthewreese9646 for sure top 15 its not debatable. anyone who actually watched the 2nd half of the season knows joe brady was running the ball like crazy
Agreed. The one thing Houston did win, is that if he's only there one year, he won't be there long enough to become a distraction/ cancer to the organization.
u guys need to stop going with this its sad😂. i thought josh was supposed to have a bowl by now? diggs was mad his supposed elite qb cant throw to his own team
I've said It once and I'll say It again. Diggs Is the only reason the bills missed the super bowl this year. If he played up to what he was being paid to do .. he wouldn't have dropped a wide open game winning pass.
If it came down to one dropped pass it really wasn’t just on him. I’m glad he is gone but saying he is the sole reason we didn’t get to the Super Bowl is delusional
@@cosmiccowboy9358 Diggs def should've caught that pass...but this guy is delusional thinking that he cost them the super bowl with that beat up defense. AJ Klein coming out of retirement for a super bowl run? lol that ain't happening.
After the bills went 6-6 they hired a new OC going into the bye week. Instead of going pass heavy with Stefon Diggs they decided to go with James cooks running ability and Josh Allen’s running ability with a run heavy offense. This meant that Diggs would hardly get the ball meaning in short he got less passes and catches and as a result less td’s and yards
@TexansFan9084 somewhat true but Shakur and Kincaid had a great 2nd half of the season they became the 1 and 2 options and that oc they hired was already on the staff he just took over as an replacement
@@josephlawrence9584 true. it will be tuff considering Nico just got off a breakout year with 1300 yards and dell was doing great on track to put up rookie records but got injured. It’ll be exciting to see how both teams perform next year considering expectations are high for both of them
I love Diggs, he and Josh needed eachother those first few years. Since the Bengals playoff game he wore out his welcome and last year felt like a shell of a duo. It went stale, now we all get a fresh start. I wish him well. Now onto who we have.
Same here. At the beginning of the season, I predicted this, and people thought I was crazy, telling me I don’t know anything about the NFL or NFL contracts. I told them it is clear as a sunny day, when you have somebody at the interviews, or acting out playfully with Josh Allen or other players, and then all of a sudden that stops…It’s a sign. I knew it was coming.
@@markburn4943its hilarious seeing bills fans always make excuses for josh turnovers. i cant wait till this yr when he has no wr to bail him out like diggs would
@@jaysonsmith7264make excuses? Nah we never have. He's a better and bigger Brett Favre. I'll take that. Gunslinger who can take a short run to a 50 yard TD
I think both won. Diggs isnt the future but he's a good stop gap. He's like OBJ on the Ravens. A backup to a young talent who could benefit with some mentoring
@@grottyband8052 if he can catch balls when I got a young QB who put me in the playoffs and failed mostly because of a lack of weapons? Yeah definitely
@@grottyband8052win now move, they’ve got a QB on a rookie contract, get aggressive and give him proven help, second rounder could be more valuable down the line with some development, but Houston doesn’t wanna wait for that, think on paper it’s good on both sides. We will see how Diggs performs though
@@grottyband8052yep, he’s still a very very good receiver even if he is regressing. If you look at the data, he has lost a lot of downfield dominance but can still be elite as a slot receiver. If he adapts his game like Keenan Allen has done he can be super impactful for a developing young quarterback
This is true, but a main goal of bringing him in was to also help coach up the younger receiving core in Houston. They have Nico Collin’s and Tank dell who could get coached, as well as the rookie they got last year
@@tylerrobertson7919 I mean even so a lot of experience can be given by just watching and playing with a experienced player, watching his cuts, watching his routine stuff like that. So no matter what they are getting helped for the future, especially tank dell
@@Will_i_amfr While that’s true, how much of that is contradicted by him being a negative influence on them, or making them feel bad when they have a great game because he only got 4 targets? I’m just saying, a negative lockerrooom influence affects a lot more than you’d expect.
@@tylerrobertson7919 very true, but hopefully diggs doesn’t have that effect. If he does, I doubt demeco will keep him since he’s know for not really putting up with that stuff
I’m a Vikings fan it worked out great for us. We used the first round pick that we got the Bills on Justin Jefferson. Not only is his play outstanding, but he has a great attitude on the team.
As a Bills fan, I am. We're probably gonna be weaker next year, but it's better to get rid of him now and start focusing on developing the new receivers
@@onigiri2032bills wont be weaker. the backups are coming into the new season developed. buffalo hardly used diggs to sneak into the playoffs and when they did target diggs on passes he needed to catch he dropped them so yea im glad they traded him
@@jonnysnipes3123 I agree with you completely, but I think we're gonna be weaker next year by a bit just because we no longer have an elite receiver that the enemy defense is gonna be focused around
It's a viqueens organization thing Everything n everyone from there is a CERTIFIED DIVA That's why average to above average teams like my packers EVEN BLANK THEM 48 TO 10 every year
Diggs played so poorly this past year where I had to wonder. Is he not trying as hard because he's pouting? Or is he truly losing a step. I feel it's a combination of the two. You said it well. Good, not great. Even he aspires to be great. And that's why he's so vocal. Buffalo got out just at the right time. One year of butt kissing then he'll tank.
When he pockets 1400 yards this season and the Strouds win the South and go to the AFC championship, this short will look ridiculous. Coleman is slow as dirt and a drop machine, he will get shut down by the DB's in the AFC east.
@@davidcgrabowskithey wont have to take the ball out of strouds hands like they had to do josh last yr. its crazy stroud is already a better decision maker than josh😂
Lol but they're giving up that "free" asset which is valuable. It's widely regarded as a likely top-40 pick in 2025. It would go a long way towards helping the Bills move up for a premiere receiver in this 2024 draft. Diggs was borderline great. Top 5. But he isn't in the top 15 today in my opinion. If Allen gets a top receiver who can be the X that Steph never really could, watch out. I think Samuel will make up for a lot of Diggs absence and Shakir is unbelievable working out with Eric Moulds this off-season like a demon, trust me people are sleeping on the 2022 5th round steal. Dalton Kincaid and a healthy Dawson Knox will soak more targets I think. The Bills are better than people think and with the cancer gone, they will shock a lot of people who think they're done. I can't wait.
@@BillsMafiaExperience I do see your point, but keep in mind the Bills lost a ton of key pieces on defense. Yes, a few didn't have the greatest of years, but either way they still matter on that defense. If James Cook goes insane and Dalton Kincaid keeps it up, then maybe that could fill in for the their WR1 being Khalil diggity dog dang Shakir.
@@BillsMafiaExperienceTexans still have good draft capital for 2024 and 2025. If anything the Bills should’ve traded for this years draft picks because this draft is loaded.
You do realize that before the turnaround the head coach and josh Allen changed their play style to more of a run offense thus leading to less targets and receptions for not only Diggs, but for all of the receivers. That’s my take
Houston renegotiated to make Diggs contract a 1 year deal. The team doesn’t have intentions of resigning him so it not really him bailing more like Houston letting him walk.
As a Bills fan I watched Diggs disappear in big games year after year he was great in the regular season for us but when the chips were down he was MIA, let’s see how happy he is when he doesn’t get 170 targets next year
Ive been saying people are overreacting about the bills. They cut some washed DBs and traded a WR who didnt show up in the second half of their season (their best half). Bills are fully capable of recovering everything they lost this offseason in the draft.
I completely disagree that they are better without him. With diggs the bills forced their opponents to double team him which led to the second half of the season Kalil Shakir break out. Without diggs Shakir will not get open as much, Kincaid won't get open as much. This can all be fixed through the draft but that still carries it's own risk
you don't watch film, and possibly didn't watch the bills last year. They didn't double diggs ever because they knew he wasn't a threat. That makes his downturn in production even more concerning
@@SweepSwapInUrWallsI was just coming to say the same. It’s easy for everyone to assume that Diggs drew coverage. He didn’t. Teams seemed to sense that Diggs gave up on his team because they didn’t bother rolling any extra coverage his way. The Bills were definitely better without utilizing him. In fact, Diggs saw the field less and less as the season went on. That doesn’t sound like a team that felt better off with Diggs out there. The Bills paid money to get rid of him.
i agree but it’s still a win-win, houston adds probably the top 1-2-3 punch at wr in the nfl with a qb with top 5 potential and the bills get rid of a piece of their offense that was holding them back for a really good pick
Honestly he could put up historic numbers and I'd be happy for him but I'm glad he's out of Buffalo. He didn't want to be here anymore and his play showed that last season. Everyone wins!!
Both teams won. Buf showed they played better when Diggs isn't the feature. Houston has a stud QB and WR2 already. Both will be better for it. A 2nd round pick for an aging wr is nice af tho
Since Houston restructured Stefons existing deal, he's now basically a 1 year rental for the Texans who can become an unrestricted free agent after the season. And i would be very surprised if the Texans brought him back next year.
I don’t know where people get this take. In the last 8 games of the season they averaged over 30 passes per game. Their season average for passing attempts was 34. That 30 average also includes 15 passes in the Dallas game because they were absolutely smoking them. Diggs numbers sucked because Diggs sucked the last half of the season. Kincaid and shakir picked up his slack.
I wasn’t surprised he was moved in the slightest. He already wouldn’t shut up about possibly leaving, and then he played like ass for the second half of the season. Neither side wanted it anymore.
I’m a long time bills fan and I can I am glad he is gone. He is a selfish player who gets mad and cries the second he doesn’t get a target. He also will drop a perfect pass and blame the qb for him dropping it. Good luck spoiling and babysitting a whiny little girl. I’m glad he’s gone he is toxic to every team he plays for
The offense changed and they won off their run game. Not because of anything negative with his pass catching. They used his recieving threat to improve their offense. Casual take
This is what every organization does once a good player starts getting up in yrs. They deliberately cause their stats to go down to devalue them once their contract comes up
Always better to move on a year to early, then a year too late at first looking at the trade I was shocked now the longer I've reflected on it I get it, and a 2nd will really help next year man I hope Houston tanks and its a better pick but even a late 2nd is good.
I also worry about Diggs walking into that rookie room A lot of Houston has young talent, there’s a culture there of all the young guns in it together. And if Diggs walks in there and decides he’s now the top dog in the room that can create a lot of resentment within the team.
