there’s one lucky kid named Juned who survived that collision but lost his right leg. the train driver “Slamet” also survived, but suffered injuries and unfortunately, he was in prison for *5* years and get fired unfairly.

They made a movie of this tragedy, and in color footage are scary 🥺

The Bintaro train crash occurred in Bintaro, IndoIndonesia In 1987. Two passenger trains collided causing 156 deaths. It is the worst railway disaster in Indonesia to date. This animation is based on Tragedi Bintaro, a film about the accident. And many people requested that I do an animation about it.

Fun fact: -The red flag used emergency stop is known as "semboyan 3" in Indonesian -Image at *3:03* is known as "semboyan 40" where the dispatch train service blew a flute and a green sign which is meaning if the train could start departure with the permission of the dispatch - the engineer blew their horn is known as "semboyan 35" which is the engineer start to depart the train -For emergency semboyan genta should use "semboyan 55c" a warning command for rail cross road operator system which is they use to rang the bell 8 times if theres an emergency to occur Another fun fact: the reason why the driver cannot see the view because in that era passanggers could take positions wherever they want(because they didnt get a seat inside the train cars) Nice video :)
