Kody lost intetest in Meri after she had only one child. Then used the other 2 wives for child-bearing, money and his ego. He only loved Robyn and enjoys the money he gets to basically be a house-husband without duties or chores now with all the money to be with Robyn. Duh

The hair doesn’t bother me since that is just a personal preference. But he is definitely childish in a lot of ways. The car thing is a perfect example of the ways he is unwilling to sacrifice his own pleasure and happiness for the sake of his wives and children. There are so many examples of it just in this video. A grown man is willing to forgo a sports car for a sensible car if it means less of a car payment, freeing up money so his wife has a safe car to drive. Just ludicrous

The minipulation began when Robyn married my first cousin, David. Somehow, she was able to twist her story so it became David's fault when she got pregnant. Poor little innocent Robyn! They got married and the drama continued.Robyn lies and messes with the hearts of men. I do know both sides of Robyn;s first marriage. The world only knows that David was abusive. (That's from Robyn's mouth) They don't know that Robyn is abusive in her own way. I wouldn't be surprised if she was diagnosed with some kind of mental illness!

@Tiffany W that's crazy but in 2014 the SAME thing happened to me. I had a few injections, the dr said I need 4 artifical discs in my neck and I said my Low Back hurt worse. They did 6 injections in 5 months - including 1 into the disc which gave me a spinal headache where I couldn't get up except to go to bathroom or eat. I gained almost 75 lbs; before they did the low back surgery - which I continually asked "WHY WAS MY 3 HOUR SURGERY COMPLETED IN 3O MINS?" My Dr FINALLY said "you arent going to stop asking are you? It was way worse than I originally thought. We JUST had to pick out the bone fragments, put in spacer, plate, and sew you up." My ex left me as soon as I was releases to go back to work full time. SOOOOO many waste years!! ALL because I gained weight and it wasn't that long before I lost ALL the weight. He's made several lude comments after that🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮

Exactly! I NEVER saw him as any different. He has ALWAYS been this person. I can’t believe this lady thinks he was ever different.

He’s much happier when he has money and lots of attention/people competing for his affection. When he was so wrong about the Las Vegas real estate market and they lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because of his fear, he went on a fast spiral down. He had a whole lot of fun with his fake storyline about the fantasy castle he wanted to build on Coyote Pass. All those scenes where he was the star and sole focus of the camera and storyline. But when reality set in, the houses didn’t sell, and the wives reminded him of the challenges of one home; he went very dark. He obviously was still living in a state of delusion when C19 hit because he thought he should be the only one going from house to house. He forgot he didn’t have “tender aged” children at each location who needed him to play daddy 25% of the time. He was able to infantize Robyn’s kids, frankly because so little was expected of them to begin with. But he couldn’t do that with Ysabel. Gabe or Garrison. Garrison had completed a term of service and was still working as a reservist. Was he supposed to quit his life so daddy can come by and play board games? Kody has always been a spoiled brat who is angry and mean when things don’t go his way.

I think it was the wives who changed. They got tired of his BS and grew as people. He couldn’t/can’t handle it.

While I do agree, I see T rage in him now that was t there I’m the beginning of the series. His personality is the same but (egotistical, arrogant, narcissistic, etc..) but the rage has made him truly unbearable and IMO, verbally abusive.

In theory what they get out of it is each other, they are supposed to be a community, a family and help and support each other raising their kids together, obviously it didn't turn out that way for them but that how they believe it should be

i’ll never forget what robyn said at the first reunion special. the host asked “who works in the family?” and after hearing from janelle, meri and kody, the host asks robyn and christine. robyn quickly says she’s looking for a job and then says “oh she [christine] gets to stay at home all day.” as if being the stay at home parent to all of those children is easy. especially at that point because a lot of the children were still really young. plus she had the audacity to say that when she wasn’t even working! i also think about robyn kissing kody while christine was in labor even though they weren’t supposed to kiss before the wedding and hid it from the other wives. also robyn “picking out her wedding dress” with the sister wives only to go dress shopping with kody and the other wives found out months later. straight from the jump robyn had little secrets with kody that forced a rift between the two of them and the wives. snake in the grass. now robyn has kody all to herself like she always wanted. 😂

Yep. One of the reasons I've never thought polyamory is viable is because TIME is a limited resource. If you have a job, a spouse, and kids, your time is already stretched out. If you add more people into the mix you end up neglecting one of those.

I think this is where it really takes special kinds of situation to do it. The right personalities, lifestyles, and careers have to come together. Values as well ~ living apart in separate houses, not getting along because you are fundamentally incompatible even as friends...that's not gonna work. It's like any family. Everyone needs time and love, and households need good leaders who are consistent. Kody was never a good leader, and he wasn't interested in earning trust. Since he wasn't willing to relinquish his "spot" as HOH (and to be fair in this situation that would be a bit difficult anyway), it really doomed the whole family to chaos and neglect. We can see it in the way his relationships with his adult kids turned out too. He doesnt know how to parent his children who have autonomy. So of course the relationships fall apart.

Robyn did not want her son to go to college alone.

Kody and the family glossed over that they had high interest home loans. Balloon payments were coming due and they couldn't pay them. The only way out was to sell their houses, pay off the banks and take the rest of the money and head to Flagstaff.

After they all moved to Flagstaff her son dropped out of college. He is autistic.
