Luther is a world class guitar player. I’ve watched him grow from a young kid playing in Midtown Memphis bars into one of the best in the world. I knew his dad, Jim, and I’m friends with his mom. Us Mississippi folks are really proud of him. “World Boogie is coming.”
The Black Crowes are probably the last of the soulful rock bands. Zeppelin will always be my favorite of all time but the Crowes are absolutly my favorite rock band still playing. Long live the Black Crowes!
The whole new album "Before the Frost" was recorded live in front of an audience. It sounds better and tighter than most studio albums. They are true artists.
I wish Luther had never left. I really was digging his style with the band, especially the Cabin Fever stuff like Oh Sweet Nuthin. He is amazing on that
What he brought to their sound was beyond measure. His soulful guitar work was absolutely phenomenal. The Cabin Fever version of Oh Sweet Nuthin is one of my favorite songs of all times.
Excellent song. Excellent rock and roll band. Great upload. The Black Crowes continue to rock and roll while other idiots are shoved into our face. We need more of this great music by the Crowes. Not a bad album in the bunch.

All your Black Crowes videos have awesome audio. I save all yours because the sound quality is so good. i love hearing Luther Dickerson's brilliant slide guitar crystal clear in my left speaker. Keep the Crowes coming Corkscrewy!
EXCELLENT live rendition. Some performers can be good in the studio, but suck ass without all the overlays and 'fixes' that modern electronics lets them use. This band is not one of those. Thanks, Corkscrewy. Nice job, as Letterman would say.

u should check out BLACKBERRY SMOKE I just caught them at a festival this past summer and it was like the crowes little cousins or something And anyone who doesn't know already, the Tedeschi Trucks Band is the best soulful rock going right now. Doesn't get any more beautiful than Derek's slide and Susan's voice.
My wife and i have seen tedeschi trucks about 10 times now live. Always a great show. I hope derek trucks eventually puts another solo album out. I know he loves his gig, and ofc working with his wife. But....hes creativity is kinda shoehorned. I miss the crazy jams and anything can happen nature of his solo stuff. Blackberry Smoke ive seen live 3 times. I cant figure out what it is...it kinda feels like a bunch of head chefs from corporate restaurants put a super restaurant together. Technically its there. The skill is there. The attitude is kind of there. At the end of the day though, its still a bunch of guys from applebees and olive garden pretending to be fine dining. On paper I should love them, totally my style. In reality im just not sure i even like them.
