Alan Cassidy performs "What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse" live with The Black Dahlia Murder in Atlanta, GA (2021). Engineered and mixed by Marshall Wieczorek at Loudspeaker Recordings.
@@TheLinkMedic They are in my top 5 of best sounding live bands for sure. The two best on my list were Opeth and At The Gates. TBDM are right up there though!
How does Alan feel comfortable sitting so low, guy looks so relaxed like that I don't get it. Fucking beast drummer though, probably the best TBDM has ever had.
Brian, in the middle of the solo, comes creeping in and out of the drum cam. As a drummer, I probably wouldn't have contained myself so well. I would laugh a little more complicated and longer.
I am so intrigued to see how things progress with this generation of extreme metal drummers. There was a really rad shift into technique refinement, attention to posture, and simplification of certain nuances. I think it might result in drummers being able to play into much older years. Paul from Cannibal Corpse is a great example of an older drummer having to change things up a bit in his technique, and overall approach to drumming. He hasn’t had to do a whole lot different exercise wise, because he plays ice hockey for fun, which is an incredibly demanding extracurricular activity.
Of all the videos I know this song, the audio and the way they played it here is unique, not only for Alan but also for Trevor, the way he made changes that are not in another concert. This is my favorite video of every day. RIP Taylor!
Made it look so easy. At times he even looked like he was making a shopping list in his head "Need bread, should i go multigrain?" CHORUS "nah f@ck it, ill go brown this week"
