I like this video very much, it is so impressed me that I see my Hmong Vietnam who shared our Hmong cultures with the Western people and got some training and supports from them that was a greatful. I would like to thank those foreigners for their helps to my Hmong people in Vietnam this was amazing to me. I would like to take this opportunity to say that this is the first time I see almost every Hmong Vietnam spoke English fluently this is fantastic I do share your concerns, your poor and sadness, please do the best you can to support your family and every Hmong family in Vietnam I wish a happy new year and good luck I wish you a wonderful day.

What a beautiful series! Thank you for highlighting the Hmong people in Sapa. I had the privilege of taking a trekking tour with the woman in the video, Bee. She generously showed us her village and home and even cooked us a meal. It’s great to see that tourism is helping with the livelihood of the people, and I hope that the beauty and tranquility of the place live on.

I'm sorry but the word Hmong is pronounced "mong", the H is silent. I'm very impressed that these Hmong women can speak English without much training, way better than some in America LOLZ.

I appreciate the simplicity of my fellow Hmong back in our displaced footings. It’s absolutely nice to know they strive with such apart-ides of being displaced throughout history. As we know this is far from the norm of today’s Hmong society where Hmong people are far into modern advancements. We hold stature far more than just this aboriginal depiction lol but in essence I see their resilience. Ever since we lost china as a true empire and people before any so called dynasties I’d ask… if you knew all you knew, did u ever ask… who did it first?! Owned it first?! Lost it first?! We aren’t from Vietnam lol we were the first before any emperor.

I really give props to my hmong Vietnam and hmong Chinese people. They reached out and learned and understand other cultures and languages which better themselves to find wealth and support their family. It also teaches others about our culture, nevertheless like the hmong Lao who depends upon other to help them, but only to cheat the people's who helps them for their own benefits.

My favorite Hmong food is "Kapoon". I love eating that stew with rice.

These Black Hmong people look like the Ifugao people of Northern Philippines . Even their rice terraces looks the same.

How do they learn English? It would be good to know that whoever is organizing this would offer more skills for them. It would benefit the hmoob if they were earning skills to help bring income to their families and help with school. I wonder if they would be tempted to leave their villages for space and freedom. Honestly, they deserve better this its like a slap in the face. I am positive these hmoob folks want improvement for their village homes,and to be moving forward like the city. Are they getting paid for all of this?

This is good and bad. Good because they are providing economic opportunities for these people but bad because eventually the presence of tourist will change the culture. I hope PATA knows that these people will change with high exposure to the western world. Hope you don’t continue to expect them to remain the same as time goes on.... otherwise they will only be putting on a show and it won’t be the real them anymore... they should not be expected to be the same to provide the experience that tourists wants. These are real people like me and you living in a changing world.
