I live in the middle of Akron and Canton. The rock scene here is in shambles, I found The Black Keys in 2010 as a freshman in high school. You two are legends and one of my top inspirations from my area.

the funny thing is they never hated each other, and actually said no to a lot of money because they wanted to take a long hiatus and do other things, before getting back together. But I seriously love the idea that they did hate each other, and only made up because of the money they could make. Very few bands in real life would be that transparent about it, even if it was true. God I love these guys
the break to 'do other things' was them producing bands that they like, not for any money or fame, just for the music... Rad dudes, great JRE podcast/interview.
The whole premise of this video is genius! America's sweethearts! Lol! And they finally have a breakthrough and see the light, in a pile of money! How spiritual! And the song really grooves! Love the chords, the tempo, the percussive verses and the lilting chorus...genius all around. ..

Já vou ao Alive há alguns anos e é sempre assim: lançam um álbum num ano, no seguinte, estão lá. E os Black Keys já não vão ao Alive desde 2014, portanto... É assim que as coisas funcionam! My father is pushing 80...we have a bond that allows us to go months without speaking or visiting one another...and when we do, it's like we were never apart. This song always reminds me of why I need to visit or at least call more often. I dread the day I have to bury him. I am 55 but my Father has ALWAYS been my Rock. My mom is awesome but I will forever be a Daddy's Boy.
I hadn't really listened to these guys, but when I heard about the tour coming up with Modest Mouse (my favorite band of all time) I gave em a listen. I look forward to seeing them both in October!

Good stuff! “Go” is a great track. Serves as a great intro to their new album “Let’s Rock”. Some great new Key music on it. “Sit Around And Miss You” my current fav.
