This was amazing. The amount of not only love, but total and complete devotion Red bestows upon Lizzie, and when Lizzie uses her heart, the amount of total and complete devotion she bestows upon Red as well. I didn't cry because I was watching this in class, but I was darn close. Absolutely adored it.

Monique Martin yes exactly! Sometimes I understand her hesitancy. It can be scary to let go and jump that way. Like Red said: that’s what love is, being powerless. Maybe that’s why she stuck with Tom so long leaving behind any memory manipulation. He represented the sense of familiar control a conflict-less life would have given her.

I remember there is an episode he was telling some guy, " when it comes to her (Lizzie) there is no levarage u look to her direction I cut off your eyes, you speak about her again I will cut off your tongue, you touch her I will cut off your hands" there is no more love than this, having in mind that red never bluffs he meant every word.

What a very emotional video, so very touching, I was nearly in tears to see Raymond so very lovingly, sitting beside lizzy, just reading to her, so totally devoted to her, and when she suddenly but gently awakes, Red, takes hold of her hand and kisses it, I just had one massive lump in my heart, ready to cry any minute, I could feel myself filling up any minute. Red is so loving, very romantic, I adore him. Lovely clips. xx

Thanks so much again! Let's just say that certain things don't change with regards to those who hold a contrasting view of these characters and their relationship to one another. As for me, I take my cues from the performances, and the question of who Red is - or more accurately, isn't - to Lizzie has been answered so many times through the actual episode content. From the onset, the answer has been "No." and categorically so. Then again, there's the age disparity that some take issue with. I don't as ultimately it's a question of whether the other participating party in the relationship treats you with respect and accepts you as you are. Simple as that. Age is only a number, and with regards to the actors' specific contributions James's interpretation of the Red character very much reflects that of a leading man. I would recommend that "some people" watch James's latest appearance on BUILD. ;)

Thank you so, so much! Organizing the elements for this was quite a task for me from an emotional standpoint as well. Few remakes surpass the original, and in this case Disturbed's rendition of SOS more than succeeds in that regard. That paired with James reciting "Invictus" = gold. Hugs and love. Always! 🍷

Very emotional, interesting and entertaining video. You really captured the nature and progression of Red and Lizzie's relationship, as well as the tough times they have endured together. This is absolutely beautiful! It shows the Red and Lizzie connection perfectly. I'm still not convinced he's her father though. They took the DNA from a piece of clothing from years before. No guarantees there in my opinion. And Red hasn't actually stated to her that he's her dad. He's asked it in a question, told Dembe he didn't deny it to keep her from knowing about the suitcase and only said she was his daughter in a very drugged state. Still seems like there is a mystery not yet revealed. I'm not sure what exactly the connection is, but it doesn't feel like father/daughter. Anyway, loved this video!

Thank you very much! Likewise, selling Red and Lizzie's relationship as that of a father/daughter now after four + seasons of the answer to that question being "No." makes no sense. I take my cues from the performances, and James's interpretation of Red and his interactions with Lizzie screams the polar opposite of paternal. Then, there's actual episode content to consider, including the examples you cite. James also dismissed that notion in his latest appearance on Build.

I LIVE for James's acting! I actually believe he is her father based on evidence from the earlier seasons. I don't buy the DNA test either, who knows where it came from. I am rewatching the show, and I found a plot hole. When Alan Fitch had Red kidnapped, Red escaped, and the FBI confirmed it was his blood at the scene. In a later episode, where another Red came forward, they said they couldn't confirm who was the real Red because they didn't have any DNA.

Likewise, this relationship doesn't at all reflect that of a father/daughter dynamic, and again the episode content coupled with the actors' interpretations of the characters demonstrates the above point very clearly. In Lizzie's case, I guess we have to focus more so on her character and patterns of behavior pre-S3B since she has truly been M.I.A. since 3x10. That's another conversation for another time (LOL). Ultimately, I take my cues from the performances, in particular James's interpretation of Red. Keeping that in mind, his take best resembles a leading man. Simple as that. Thank you so much! To ensure that everything was just right, I worked on this for a couple weeks. I'd meant to publish this immediately following the broadcast, or as close to the broadcast date as possible, but instead I opted to wait a little bit before starting an outline. I love Disturbed's rendition of "Sound of Silence".

Some people clearly have issues. A father can love their daughter but the way red loves Lizzie is more than just that. If your a father or a mother and your daughter is a grown woman. Would you devote your whole life to her,??? And if your a daughter or a son and your grown up, you haven’t known your parent for most of your life. When you finally met you get close and maybe just a little bit too close. Then you betray them because they keep not telling you the truth. If your parent is so dear to you, why betray them,??? Red and Lizzie are complicated but they’re real and they love each other with love and with hate. They’re driven by a deeper meaning in life, they’re driven by each other. Tell me otherwise♠️♥️

they always played the "he is /he is not" HER FATHER... He even told her he was her dad, how Lizzy could ever look at him with romantic eyes? and he would be so creepy if he saved her (for some reason) from that fire when she was 5 YEARS OLD, wipped her memories, watched over her 20/25 years and end up "liking " her as a women.
