I live just down river in a little old coal town in southern Colorado thought to be " high desert " same terrain near Cotopaxi. Beautiful talent young one , transcendent , moved me to tears. Love still holds supreme and you've utilized your gift. Many thanks.
@@57stratblues Our traditional songs live on in our hearts, despite the efforts of modernity to drown them out with machine drone and repetitive beats.
There isn't even any consensus on what is meant by "Celtic". According to Collins dictionary, "racial memory" means "feelings, patterns of thought, and fragments of experience that have been transmitted from generation to generation in *all* humans..." (The emphasis is mine).
You're mandolin playing is so beautiful. I'm playing and learning mandolin and i find you incredibly inspiring...the sound you create is just amazing and i absolutely love listening to you. You're voice is also beautiful. Thank you so much for posting you're art and inspiring me. I'm 14 by the way 🌺🌿
Wish you joy and good progress in playing your instrument. I'm unfortunatly can't play anything. Tried to play mouth harmonica - maybe I'll start it again. Greetings rom Germany, Marcel (i'm 54 ;-)... have to hurry up... )
Your music creates a mystical feeling in me, a longing for the outside world, for the distance. What a talent that you manage to touch me on this level. Thank you for being you.
All mankinds sorrows and joys wrapped up in one tale... Me thinks the blacksmith's heart turned into the butterfly for he was nigh and the Bold Deceiver did relinquish his heart to Mother Nature in deepest regret.
Absolutely transporting performance. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I'm getting an octave mandolin because of your channel, and I'd be happy to play half as well as you. Thank you for sharing!
Outstanding version of The Blacksmith. I love your voice and your mandolin playing is exceptional. I'd love to hear you do The Lakes of Pontchartrain. Thanks Eva.
Oh my goodness, Eva! It's so lovely to see you again. We met a couple times when you played in Salt Lake City with your sisters. It was many years ago. I was a fellow mandolin nerd and Weber obsessed. I accidentally stumbled on Lady Moon and was so pleased you are still making beautiful music. I hope life has been kind to you. Peace & Joy.
Such a beautiful sensitive rendition. And excellent quality recording. Amazing picking, singing, meter, dynamics and accuracy! This might be your best work yet! 😍
I first heard this song from Steeleye Span with the inimitable Maddy Prior. This version is beautifully haunting. Her butterfly wing voice is so well suited.
Specialized techniques, to get those trills out of a double string instrument, I especially admire her right hand strumming skills. I’ve never heard an octave mandolin played before, just seen pictures of one. And that voice, beautiful, I felt like I was in Ireland, a magic spell she weaves…..& looks the part as well.
