#bleach BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War has been firing on all narrative cylinders lately and this episode was no different. In this video, I break down the key reasons that the BLEACH anime is fixing Kubo's Biggest Problem.
He's a LITTLE crazy. But Yhwach also absorbs their strengths and knowledge, so it's presumably bolstered his mental faculties quite considerably as well.
In just five minutes the anime gave foreshadowing to future powers that I’m seeing even anime only beginning to pick up, character motivation for yhwach, essential world building that puts Aizens motivation into context as well, a framing that makes Ichibei looking very sinister, information about the Quincies. Honestly it’s my favorite new addition.
Main evil in bleach is the one who re stagnating and not movings forward Aizen Ywatch is the some sort a vigilants Ichigo would just makes by hes decisions to protect hes friend by reaching them than would carry how would or shoult world work we re just so tiny to think worlds are in reach of any hands to seek but this price would be a lonelines
@@angelo3353yeah I’m pretty sure you’re right. I think he saw that all the realms in the bleach world had pain and suffering. Including the soul society which is essentially the afterlife yet there’s no “peace”
Something you may have missed: We got an answer to why Aizens hypnosis worked on Ywach. We were told this episode that The Almighty has its limitations and that it cannot see past the soul kings powers. Anything imbued with the soul king, cannot be seen by Ywachs power. We also know that to make his Hogyoku, he removed part of the soul king from Rangiku. Now with the Hogyoku and that part of the soul king now fused with Aizen himself, it could be theorised that his powers as a whole are now influenced by that very same power of the soul king, giving a reason as to why Ywach can’t actually see through his hypnosis. Also, this could explain why Aizen gained immortality. The soul king being immortal may as a result have caused Aizen to become immortal after fusing with the Hogyoku
@@irete267it was kinda ambiguous at the time, because Mimihagi governs stillness and stagnation, it could just have easily been a result of Mimihagi “stopping” the future that Yhwach sees.
@@WarTurtle-tv3gh yh, that makes sense when one thinks about it that way. That was just how I thought about it, that only a few things could affect the soul king. Here's something interesting, Orihime's powers could not work on the soul King either, and her powers technically came from him, do you thinks it's a matter of scale or it has to be something more specific that could affect him?
What I like about this addition is that it goes in line with the Ichigo additions earlier on. We now know that both Yhwach and Ichigo have personal knowledge about the weight of the world and everything that will be required of their final goals. Yhwach is coming at it from the perspective of the individual, wanting to create a place of peace to stop everybody from feeling the fear and pain of death. Ichigo wants to preserve the cycle, because death is also the thing that makes life meaningful, and give them their own chance to find happiness without having to rely on a higher power.
Ichigo though was unable to make sense of it. Yhwach though understood clearly, and saw more thanks to His Almighty and probably his connection to his father the Soul King. Just look at how Ichibei was holding the body of the Soul King. Yhwach realized what went down, and was disgusted. Now he has an additional motivation to end his father's "endless humiliation."
Not Relying on a higher power seems a bit atheist for bleach. It's more of the urahara and aizen dynamic. The unseen and unmovable god and those who want to make themselves into God's. Better yet the American revolution vs French revolution. Wanting to knock down walls regardless of why they are here in the first place. And others asking why are they here? This is more ofna bleach concept then one of atheist vs religious. Maybe I took your comment wrong. Lmk
Yhwach's fear of death caused him to destroy the balance of the worlds and that resulted into something far worse. Ichigo is someone who learned that even though death is always present life goes on. Don't forget Ichigo started in this arc to save hueco Mundo and the arrancars who were about 2 years ago his enemies. Ichigo is under the impression that all souls must be cleansed to move into the afterlife. Yhwach lives in the past while Ichigo wants to move on in life. He's not that desperate about his mom anymore.
Having the plotholes of the original manga TYBW Arc being filled in the anime is such a gift to diehard bleach fans. I am aware Kubo was rushed during the creation of the final arc, so having him and the animation team be granted the chance to properly expand on events he had to cut out to meet deadlines is justice for the the former member of the old Big Three. Crazy how the new lore revolations keeps me interested as an adult when I was mainly into Bleach as a teen.
It really is. I liked the arc even with the plot holes so this is just the icing on the cake. Ik its not gonna happen but I kinda want tybw to get a reprint so the manga can get added panels from the anime
Ichibe sealing Yhwach's Almighty now makes its future resurgence make much more sense. In the manga, it was oddly convenient that Yhwach's eyes opened when he was near death. But now we know that, since Ichibe sealed the Almighty until Yhwach's death, he made a huge oversight: by using Ichimonji's black paint and covering Yhwach with it, Ichibe erased the Quincy King from existence. There is no longer a Yhwach. Simply a blank slate that is then dubbed as an ant. But that ant is NOT Yhwach. And as such, Yhwach is effectively dead. And so the seal is broken and the Almighty returns. It'll be such a good and organic twist, I love when villains and heroes outsmart the opponent because of actual tangible oversights!
Did the seal on his Almighty not break after he died fighting The head captain of the Gotei the first time . Ichibei seals the almighty using the SK hand and says he won’t be able to use his power so long as he’s alive , he technically dies against Yama and takes a thousand years or so to come back to live . It’s also hinted that he had the almighty before his fight with Ichibei as he predicts how the fight will end
@@brucechencool Well, since Yhwach returned, he wasn't completely dead. Meanwhile, Ichibei's ink erased the existence associated with that name from the world, albeit temporarily.
@@brucechencool He doesn't die during his fight against the original gotei, Yama decided to spare him, I am not sure where in the anime this is mentioned but in the manga it is mentioned at the very beginning of the arc
@@ricremricrem2221He died against Gotei 13. Thats how he gets his eyes back. Do you remember the "Kaisergesang"?: 900 years to regain his pulse, 90 to regaine his mind, 9 to regaine his strenght (which is - without a doubt - his allmighty) ... 9 days to regaine the world. He died once, so Ichibeis seal doesnt work anymore. Thats how I understand it. I am pretty shure it was Mayuri, who stated to Yamamoto, that he was not able to kill "this man" 1000 years ago. But how should Mayuri know? He was not present at this time.
This was perfect. The way they showed the sort of .. despair yhwach felt seeing the soul king being held by Osho for a moment (seeing his father like that). Explaining Yhwach true motives. How ichibe is actually extremely f’n evil. Pernida and how yhwach obtained him to serve him also along with how he lost his eyes before the invasion at the soul society which hindered him from winning against yama. The changes in the zero division fight. As well as finally giving us a sneak peak at what kind of things Uryu can do (the medallion). As well as just finally “hopefully” focusing on Uryu & Jugram, possibly having to be the main ones to deal with the zero division ( and that’s if auschwalen isnt used to bring the schutzstaffe back too early). This series has made the tybw so much more enjoyable than it was in the manga, because it doesn’t feel rushed. We finally get context on everything. I love how they’re including more and more of the light novels , which seeing the shot of Osho holding Reio.. makes me think they’re going to show what i think they will towards the end of the tybw
Call me crazy but Yhwach straight up looked like he was 'crying' with Blut running down his face after Ichibei showed him what really happened to SK. Just a neat visual.
@@frs1375 which call me crazy as well lol, but makes me think that when he was speaking to him after ichibe left. It felt as if seeing that brought even more anger to yhwach because he’s mad that he allowed something like that to happen to him? Idk but it felt that way
@@kelseybanton6381sorry ih watch was just Being andger on hes dad cuz is just a vesel who dobt any right so the main evil is ichibe eho know this so killing him and being nect ruler and reset world after being destroyed by black reiatsu is best way cuz in the end be less suffer than dying in revanges by hes people who re now are him
If we are actually getting a proper new Uryuu, Haschwalth and Royal Guards vs Squad Zero fight, then I might pass out next week when I see it. 😂😂Actually making Squad Zero strong and showing their full abilities. I know that they will lose, but still. Not making them a joke And the flashback was brilliant. Gave us so much context on Yhwachs motivation, how he got an arm of the Soul King(Pernida), why he didn't have the Almighty against Yamamoto.
Bro i was saying this when seeing uryu do something w the medallion & his schrift. It makes me think as well that when ichigo arrives, uryu might actually play more of a role holding him back from stopping yhwach
I think initially we'll have squad zero get the upper hand against Uryu and Haschwalth while Yhwach "loses" to Ichibei. Then Yhwach does his pro gamer move to roll squad zero. I'm excited to see more of Uryu's and Haschwalth and what they can do, hope they really showcase their abilities
Kubo's writing isnt as bad as many think. Its just that SHUEISHA staff at the time were assholes to not give Kubo enough room to make what he wanted to make. He even put in a kameo, Shunsui crying out loud for someone to beat the intelect into the publishers decisive body in the last chapter. I wont forgive SHUEISHA for hurting Kubo and his opus magnum BLEACH the way they did. And I hope Kubo will come back with the hell arc and showcase his world crafting skills once again in the full light, like he deserves to do.
Shueisha gave Kubo FOUR YEARS to finish Bleach which he couldn't do because HIS story decisions AND his health. The only reason it ended so abruptly is because of his health, Shueisha was more than generous with him. They even gave him a Bleahc one-shot and new series one-shot because they appreciate working with him. How we're in 2023 and people still keep saying this cope of Shueisha not giving him time is beyond me.
The somewhat somber state Yhwach was in contrast the bright and almost happy Ichibei. Still if they include both of the postwar novels it will complete the stage and truly help pave the way for a full series set with the postwar generation. The anime certainly saved Bleach.
I would say the whole moral battle between Yhw and Manako Osho does have something to do with Ichigo because in the end he has to rationalize and choose which perspective is right. Look at how he looks at Yhwatch while he is dying in chapter 686, that goes for show how Ichigo views the entire situation.
Ichigo literally knew nothing. Not the history of Yhwach, not the history of shinigami, nor even the reason this whole war started. To him, Yhwach is the villain who threatens his friends. Just a puppet in the hands of Ichibei. Sad
@@albuspercivalwulfricbriand5363hes only want protect people in hes hands cuz he know he cant protect anybody iven if he would be the soul kind he couldnt protect anyone cuz would be inprisoned by hes responibility to observe the balance beetwen world As title suggest evry body want to bleach out and show others their perception how they act Thats why bleach is interesting Its starts from fear than loneliness than death and the main sin was fear from unknown. The soul king visions throughout the arc gave me an idea. During aizen's defeat in FKT, kisuke said to him "I see, so you saw it too." I've been thinking about this but what if Aizen saw those same soul king visions similar way as ichigo and yhwach? It's not like aizen went to the soul palace since he's never been there, but how did he gain the knowledge? There must've been a point where Aizen received those visions. Another thing I thought about regarding the three realms. Yhwach stated the three realms used to be one and the "one world" was a world without death and fear. But what about Hell? It exists outside the three realms therefore out of Soul King's reach? If Hell is a standalone world, then the one world which Yhwach referred to was....... Heaven. The Bible even quotes Heaven as a "world without death" and a "world of eternal paradise". Considering how Quincies + Soul King reference Christianity, it would make a lot of sense. And at some point, the Soul King divided Heaven into three namely: World of Living, Hueco Mundo, and Soul Society in which souls cycle and recycle. That is why Heaven doesn't currently exist with Soul Societies (4 hypothetical branches) being the afterlife. So what existed before the Soul King? Or Soul King already existed before "Heaven"? What are your guys' thoughts about this? I kinda hope I'm right lol
The cherry on top will be fixing Ichigo vs Yhwach big fight, they need to give ichigo a proper showcase of his true powers. if they`re going this hard on ichibei vs yhwach and adding this much content, i`m very confident they will go crazy on that fight.
I felt Yhwach was not the bad guy after that intro played. However, it is clear that he wants to “destroy” the three worlds so he can build a new one. Destroying everything in the name of being “fair”. Now I think he really is the antagonist even if his motives are “fair”.
Yeah I mean yhwach is definitely the antagonist, but he has always seemed to be a well intentioned extremist. The gotei 13 and soul society were only really hinted at being more nefarious in the manga but these new events, plus things like the light novels and ichibei revealing what he intended for Ichigo, you can really see that soul society is a lot more grey morality if not outright horrible when it comes to those at the top.
@@tritone2276I feel like the Gotei aren’t all that nefarious, it’s mostly Ichibei and the noble clans and C46. We see how the Gotei don’t really like interacting with 0 squad. Hell, we get a hint this episode, through Kirinji’s dialogue that even squad 0 prefer to stay away from Ichibe. Remember other than Ichibe and Nimaya, the other members are appointed and chosen from the ranks of the gotei, but it’s mostly an offer you can’t refuse situation. Like, they accept the promotion wether they like it or not
@@PaulXPZ i mean yes, it's not all of them obviously, especially in current day with the story being told, but it still seems to be a huge part of the upper echelon that has what is pragmatic at best but down right extremist at worst ideals, which means even if out of ignorance to this, the greater whole is partly responsible as well. Really there is no black or white here, just shades of gray, but aside from just not knowing a lot of it, it seems to hinge on knowledge of the gotei's role in all this. Kyoraku for example sending ichigo's friends tickets to see him means he was in on and ultimately supportive of the "backup plan" if the soul king fell and no other replacement could be found, for instance.
@@Zain94336 Well.. more like 2 or 3. Hell and the Beast Realm are separate. Also, he’s not really doing it out of kindness or for the souls of the average people, his motivation is far more selfish
Another reason all this new stuff excites me is that Aizen vs. Yhwach is probably going to be expanded upon. I am hoping with all my heart of hearts we finally get to see Aizen’s bankai. That would be one of the most epic moments in anime.
“The anime is the new canon” perfect phrase that encapsulates this whole Arc! As manga fans we can be excited for twists and turns just like anime fans. A few points - I love that this episode establishes that the soul kings body parts didn’t just end up in random places. - Idk who started the rumor that the zero division are scrubs(might have been me💀) but finally excited for them to get a much greater showing because as mentioned in the source material they’re combined strength surpasses the Gotei 13. We need to really feel that in the anime. - Ichibel is getting great characterization and it’s now blurring the lines between who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. Nuance like that is always great story telling. It might even lead into the hell arc one day *fingers crossed*
Bro this anime gonna become goated if Kubo decides to continue with the hell arc it's already goated but just look at how much he's done up until this point and he wasn't even able to showcase his full ability due to outside forces. Hell arc can lead into so many other things it's actually crazy.
@@randomduck8679They even had Kariya into one of Ichigo's flashbacks when he was training to control his hollow which I thought was such a neat thing to do.
i genuinely think he's setting this up for a hell arc adaptation by fixing plot holes. i love this era of kubo being able to do what he truly wants with zero limitations... it makes me so fucking happy.
SPOILER COMMENT Ok ngl the flashback made the content so much better. And it actually is a huge feat for Ichibei or the soul king. Sealing Yuha’s eyes is the reason he lost during the first invasion, and he gets them back only to die. This, imo, makes the zero division and Ichibe’s future loss more bearable as they are just cogs in the wheel and Yuha’s fate has been sealed from this very day. So the hubris of Juha that we will eventually see is going to be so sweet. This also is building up to show just how evil Ichibe actually is.
What if they were revived using uryu's shrift or the balance? And somehow it doesn't matter how squad zero were strong and winning against the "elite sternritters" uryu or haschfalt interven and undo the damage, even not needing to show the rest of the team extended powers and leave it for the rest of gotei 13 to show their growth and determination as it was intended to, actually I'd love that and love if the auswahlen to only be used so that yhwach can overpower icheibi
I always felt like the whole moral issue with Uryu hating Shinigami for the way they treated the Quincies, particularly Mayuri with Souken, was dropped. Given what we've learned in this episode, Yhwach is not as bad as we once thought, so I'd honestly be down to see Uryu's character being changed in this arc to actually be aligned with Yhwach, at least at this point. It would make him quite the foil to Ichigo too, given that Ichigo will blindly rush in to defend his friends, even if he'd be on the "wrong" side, while Uryu would be willing to betray his friends to take a moral highground, at least from a Quincy perspective.
The thing I waiting for the most is Ichigo's bankai Imagine if they show him fight against Yhwach and it ends with Ichigo killing Yhwach the same way he saw it but than the camera would zoom out of Yhwach's eye showing Ichigo with his broken bankai
Ichigo with HoS is simply op if he were to have it. Ichigo literally must have fate-changing hax in that form for Yhwach to be so urgent in making sure that timeline never comes to reality.
the storytelling of bleach is incredible so far, the fact that we saw so much info that had NOTHING to do with ichigo was crazy, which shows how BIG the story and universe of bleach really is, they really r cooking with this cour and i CANNOT WAIT for next saturday!!
Bleach has kinda always been much bigger than Ichigo. Thats what makes it so interesting. Hes not always the center of attention or the driving force of the plot. He's just the kid that accidentally got caught in the middle of something greater even from birth
@@ctc9945that makes me even more excited for the Hell Arc. As Byakuya said, Ichigo wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place. The fact that even Squad 0 pinned their hopes on a human is an abomination; a disgraceful act by the governors of the Soul Society. And considering how Hell has transformed in the Hell Arc, the Hell butterflies and all the mystery that comes with the establishment of the Soul Society, there's still so much left to explore. Perhaps all this time, Ichigo was working for the bad guys. And maybe in the Hell Arc, his family will continue to suffer for those guy's sins.
The Auchwallen is definitely happening, the way they depicted Robert being afraid of Yhwach leaving him below means to me that he is aware of their fate, and that will most likely play out similarly as in the manga, but it would be cool to give Squad 0 a couple more minutes to shine. Unfortunately, I don't see us getting any new Bankais, that would have definitely been leaked by now, or straight up confirmed by the team like Shinji's Bankai.
Your explanation of Uryu’s Antithesis is Perfect. It would make sense why Jugram was surprised because only YH could be plan that with Uryu in the moment knowing his abilities. I just wonder why Uryus eye had Blut Vein when we was staring at the Royale palace, Maybe he can tell it was being hidden ? At first I thought Uryu recorded that moment in time and he was later able to escape by putting him in the same space, but like I said your explanation makes much more sense
you know what would be really good is when the manga shows that ichigo never got a chance to show his power of his bankai they actually show him using it against yh and for the plot twist it shows what yh saw in the future and wanted to avoid it before it happened and just stops ichigo from using his bankai like he did in the manga
He had severe Mental & Physical Health issues. Shonen didn't allow him the constant and periodic hiatus he wanted to finish the story properly & rather pushed him to rap it up in the manner in which it was. Luckily being who he is and the consideration being given to mangaka these days has put the industry partly in a better place. Nice video & let's all hope pray for a Hell Arc
Also Ichibei used the his right hand to stop the Quincy guards attacks. And the right arm of the Soul King represents stilness. We know this from Ukitake later. While the left hand of the Soul King(Pernida) is progress.
The biggest change is ichibe and Yuha conversation, it explained so many things, i am glad, i'd rate 9.50/10. Great stuff, cosmic music and ost, quality is freaking amazing, nostalgia hits, my problem is the rush Sometimes, but overral- top anime!
It's all but confirmed that Uryu and Haschwalt are going to fight alone. Their combat abilities synergize with each other so well that I actually think it's not that hard for them to win at the end of the day
That would be a stretch and too much departure from the source material. I can definitely see them getting a good showing similar to the Yhwach vs Ichigo extra scenes in cour one, and then Yhwach bringing the others back.
@@janosd4nuke Right I reckon they're going to keep their schrift reveal for their 1 on 1 fight. But it would be nice to see Uryu using some quincy techniques perhaps some blût vein action
@@janosd4nukewell, auswahlen was a very bad thing in the original manga so i don’t mind. The elite sternritters all get amazing fights later on, jugrzm and uryu desperately need more tho
@@Babylauncher3000 I mean after this cour, there will be 60 chapters to adapte with 26 episodes so there will be a lot of space for extra content in the next 2 cours but I agree that the tybw anime should have been at least 80 episodes long instead of 52
There is a part that you missed. Before Ywach revives his squad, Askin actually gets back up and puts work against Niyama, making Kirenji use his hot springs to replace Niyama's blood. THEN the Schutstaffle is revived
I remember quincy realm as completely separate from world of the living. There was a flashback in the manga. And I do not mean the one existing in the shadow of ss.
It added SO much character depth and nuance to Yhwach just in this one scene. Now his motivations make much more sense to me. And now I’m not so dubious of his “hatred of conflict” and “wanting peace.”
I was surprised with the decision to add things in and am glad they are doing that, my biggest gripe with how it all ended was that we didn't get to see the end of Urahara vs Nakk le Vaar
I think the reason why Yhwach doesn't know what happened to the soul king is, like ichibe said. Yhwach power can't see through the soul king, he is unable to see the future involving the soul king. So it's not because he is not perfect in controlling his power, but rather the limitation it had to begin with. It also explains why he lost in the fight against Yamamoto 1000 years ago. His eyes were sealed and pernida is still not on his side
Ichibei using the hand of the souls king after being a part of mutilating him is on some other level messed up. Ywach forcing his blut through the hand of the soul king how he does to Ichigo later on in the manga, being why the hand is a Quincy as Pernida. Seeing Uryus antithesis. It was a fantastic episode.
spoiler : after episode 24 ( 11 ) of tybw , kubo revealed the darkest secret of bleach lore , which is yhwach's goal , yhwach's goals was never to destroy the ss but actually to rescue the soul king , YH is the soul king's son , and the soul king the stongest being of all time whom know as the GOD , was forced by ichibe and the squad zero , to become the soul king , sealing his soul taking his all of his body part so the SS can fuction , but the soul king never agreed for that destiny , he never choose it , howerver he was force to it , and that's why YH is here , yhwach was represented as the UNSTOPABLE VILLAN that is willing to destroy the SS , but instead hi is the son that came to revenge his father's fate that were destint by the squad , his goal is to save his father from the suffering , and the moment you realise that you realise that you were cheering for the wrong squad , and that's what makes the possiblity of setting ichigo into the same position as the soul king possible cuz hi's and his son are the one that more like the soul king , bleach lore is on another level , and now tite is giving us the best content bleach to ever have , and the reason behind this succes is that he accepted to take the hidden reveal from the night novel can't fear your own world to the anime and make it cannon , cuz if bleach follows that path , the anime will be top tier , and this episode is a proof of that , cuz these reveal had it's set up on the night novel , so all what we say is , be patient , bleach ain't ending , the lore ain'r ending , the lore ain't ending .
This was very much needed. I remember when his motovation to make a world withiut death came up in thr manga, it just seemed so out of left field and disconnected. But this really helps to shed light on the character of Yhach. I cant spell his name from memory still.
It's quite a unique thing of it's. Bleach as such an influenceal anime returned after 10 years to adapt the story's final section. Although there was no hope since Kubo was pushed to finish the manga on a unjustified schedule.
The following is a prediction. I think Uryu could use his Antithesis to switch the sustained injuries of Yhwach's Royal Guard with Oetsu Nimaiya. It isn't clear to what extend Haschwalth can utilize Yhwach's powers at this point in the story. If the Y. H. Royal Guard are officially dead next episode Haschwalth may or may not bring them back using Yhwach's power instead of Yhwach; or even use his Balance ability to reverse their misfortune (but idr if Balance is only usable when Haschwalth's directly involved in the exchange of fortune and misfortune or not). Oetsu is gravely injured but alive. Askin tries to finish him off the same way as in the manga and Oetsu then gets healed by Kirinji. From there we'll have new material of Royal Guard Squad action against Y. H. Royal Guard intertwining with Ichibe vs Yhwach. Maybe episode 25 ends with Ichibe activating the last forbidden Kido. Then at the beginning of episode 26 we see Ichibe not having a good time followed by the intro. After the intro we see the same pre-intro shot followed by the same event from the perspective of the Royal Guards fighting beneath them. Nimaiya, Kirinji, Shutara and Hikifune are shocked by what just happened and rush to help, after which they get caught off guard and executed. Up to the halfway mark, we watch the Quincies enter the domain of the Soul King. Ichigo and company arrive after the halftime break. It's been a while since I've read the manga to keep some of the things feeling new. It feels to me that Uryu's Antithesis is basically Haschwalth's Balance with a wider scope of applications. Uryu's Antithesis works without him needing to be an active participant in the events shifting around, whereas for Haschwalth, he's directing the shift of balance of the event, so it may be necessary for him to be directly involved in the events he's changing. I wonder how off I'll be when the finale drops. Very exciting.
The added ichibe yhwach scene further reiterates that bleach is a story about trauma regarding death and how they cope with it, even yhwach is afflicted by this.
The way the TYBW has been going, I'd love if they went back and re-animated the OG Bleach with the same style. A well paced, dark, and more accurate version of the story would be AMAZING
I have to agree that so far TYBW arc has just added so much to the original. I mean the extended fight with the Bambis, the context for Yhwach in this episode, just all of it has just added more than I could have hoped for frankly. But also so happy we've gotten so many things I truly thought they'd censor like the original series that they didn't (Izuru's injury from Bazz, As Nodt's power used on Byakuya with Rukia's rotted face, etc).
You so on point my Boi I couldn’t wait till we got here because I knew it was so pivotal moving forward And I agree they executed perfectly We are now in the twilight zone
@@stryperwolf1723 they couldve expanded on it is all i mean, plus i know some stuff is cut because the higher ups gave them a limited amount of episodes so i understand why it was done
@@riggatonygacha Unlike the minority like you, who are asking for this, most people are happy. Long, drawn out fights are what makes shows bad. Longer fights should only be for very important, end game fights.
@@SleepyStreak not even like drawn out fights i never said that, even just an few minutes on big fights like unohana and kenpachi, a bit more in the renji fight etc etc. Thats all nothing insane like wanting 3 ep extra per fight or anything
Nicely put as always. I want to zone in on and spin far the "blurring the lines between bad guy and good guy": If you really think about it, all of Bleach's main antagonists were not clearcut bad guys until past the manga: Tokinada. That's quite fascinating. Let's break this down by arcs: - Agent of the Shinigami: we can either skip this as introduction without clear villain, or Grand Fisher. Grandie was a hollow, so victim of his nature, and by extension the current world order and cycle of life. - Soul Society: Byakuya was blindly following the rules of a system, unaware of it's corruption. Also Ichigo's real enemy wasn't Byakuya, but the very laws of Soul Society itself. And that was very heavily empasized in that arc. - Hueco Mundo & Fake Karakura: Aizen, the fallen übermensch; broken and alienated by the truth and his own ambition to steer this broken world into a better direction. -The Lost Agent: betrayed by the system, though not exactly the way he thought, lashing out and spiraling in resentment. - Thousand Year Blood War: Yhwach: messiah and antichrist in one, basically born to erase the original sin. - Can't Fear Your Own World: Tokinada... now instead of a great man broken by the truth as in Aizen and Yhwach, we get an already wicked noblemen hit by the original sin. He sees this as one big cosmic joke and decides to lagh with it for his own personal gains. A broken product of a broken world spiraling further to raise the alarm bells for everyone caight in the crossfire. And we come back to Kurosaki Ichigo, who once went to war against the laws of Soul Society based on his principles. Then time and time again he was forced to defend said system, because those who - arguably rightly so - challenged it's hegemony did so with terrible methods, threatening those he swore to protect as collateral damage, a simple roundig error. The hero, who set out to change the system, crush the wheel of fate, only resulted in micro-nudges to better path, still in the framewrok of a status quo that began with an 'Original Sin'. Rather peculiar. But let's turn back the pendulum by 2 weeks, and ask again, what will The One Who Protects do after seeing the order of this challanged by immoral methods do, when destiny comes knocking and he might just be the one to deliver change... will he be wise and strong enough when the Gates of Hell open? And let's turn back the pendulum by 2 years, and remember Kubo likes to present things in cycles... call back a similar situation or motif and tear it appart from a different angle. Bleach does not recycle elements, but just as the Buddhist reincarnation and the cycle of Monomyth goes, "It rhymes like poetry" as George Lucas put it regarding his work which was also clearly and heavily inluenced by these concepts. So what was an important an interesting topic regarding the Hell Arc and analyzed in 2021 october by professor Rebirth? And what's it's important primer 'rhyme'? The Unholy Newborn - Kurosaki Kazui & Ubuginu Hikone. Maaan, the hype is real, both short and long term, we eatin' goooood.
As an anime only watcher for many years it great to see all the love Bleach is getting. Episode 24 was wild and last two are only gonna get crazier. Bleach is anime of the year
I know you said in the beginning of the video that you wouldn’t go through every change made in the anime, but I feel like it would be a good project to tackle if you were looking to continue making content like this.
I also found it interesting that Quincy soldiers used guns so far in the past. My headcanon is that humans were inspired to create firearms after seeing the quincy use them.
Yep pretty much. Also the first prototype guns were in 900 ad (but like cannons) and often exploded. The modern gun like in the anime didn’t exist until the early 1900s. Remember, Gunpowder comes from China.
Still has not fixed the stupid "I have to explain every last detail of my powers to the people trying to kill me and end reality" problem that Bleach does 99% of the time.
Ima be honest with u I just started bleach and I just skipped to seasons bc u know why and I agree with u and also thought the same before bleach is just simple and the fights are not even a episode long but takes them like a whole season idk why
Bleach was my 3th or 4th favorite anime after finishing the novels, CFYOW is amazing and I really hope it gets adapted in manga or anime, but right now Bleach is favorite anime ever, it's just, it have something that makes you love the history and everthing envolved, I just waiting to see the last 2 episodes with a hype I didn't have in years
Loving having this animated. I know a lot of people won't agree with me but I still think the biggest issue with tybw is how strong the final enemies are (basically gods) and how much plot is needed to defeat them. I understand it happens a lot in animes but I will still sit here and say it makes no sense that the soul reapers win this fight
Im not gonna believe for one second that YH is gonna be all "OMG deres gatsta be a better wei gais *cwies*" and then murder all of his own soldiers on his way to his goals. Were just going to forget that little detail huh.
Also, juha might have foreseen that if he accepted uryuu, the latter would have this ability that would facilitate the former’s cause, for example, escape the wooden cage. Now, it makes sense why on earth would the mustachio agree to accept the Quincy outcast in his team.
I noticed the episode went waaay different than I remember, so I'm hyped for a better story, wondering if Ichigo will end up as a soul king of sorts. Also hoping squad 0 uses their shikais and such, like come on, in the manga they just got destroyed
I just want more fleshed out battles, especially to see Ichigo's full form do more than get broken on the spot - even though this is part of how he ends up feeling true despair..
i don't think Pernida is the left hand of the Soul King nor Gerard being the heart they're no doubt the same as Jushiro Ukitake they were once regular Quincies that have absorb the body parts of the Soul King to increase there powers but unlike Ukitake and Gerald the Left Hand must have rejected Pernida's body cause him/her to mutate into a gargantuan left arm and I'm also guessing that female Quincy with the machine gun could be Pernida's true form before Yhwach gave her the Soul Kings left hand
Adding more story is amazing BUT i hope they add more fight scenes too... most fights feel so rushed for me. Like seconds I want Ichibe vs Yhwach to be a full episode or so
Im still waiting for the final fight THAT will decide my stance, But yes other than the change in Quincy energy this has been 9/10 adaptation only wish is why aren’t we getting more hell verse?!?!?! THE HELL 😂
I'm so happy that during all those years i still believed that Kubo would comeback with the anime and change cannon with it!!! They called me crazy but i stood here, watching for the right moment, just like Yhwach 👹🏹
