I don't mind MetallicA expanding their empire, but shilling whiskey from a dude who's sober, and a second and third dude who are pretty much sober, after decades of abuse, just doesn't jive. That said, I WANT SOME!
Why is a band that had to kick out one of their founding members (Dave Mustaine) and saw their frontman twice go into rehab for alcohol abuse (James Hetfield) selling their own brand of whiskey?
You're taking a LOT out of context. - First of all, the thing with Mustaine was when they were basically kids and had no life-experience. Yet they were wise enough to just get rid of the bad apple. - James' alcohol abuse has been dealt with over the last twenty-plus years, and probably still is, which doesn't mean he or his company can't enjoy an alcoholic beverage, like a responsible adult. - I'm just baffled how pretentious they're being about it. - "Sonic treatment"???... Please, gtfo...
Would you rather drink a Whiskey without Metallica's music played in the production process. I guess not. Drink up and don't question great music combined with great whiskey.
