Perhaps bad opinion but I don't really like the oscars. Giving some movies 14 oscars like titanic but some incredible movies like interstellar or martian Zero. It's a bad way to compare movies imo
Hey everyone i hope you stay safe in this annoying pandemic, Im so close to 4200 s u b s all i ask for is a s u b, it's so difficult to grow! 🥺💖 Im gifting everybody who s u b s to me❤️ (Im not a b o t.) 😭
The masses are stupid enough to think over saturated half blown out photos look better, this test isn’t a test of quality it’s a test of what the average moron with a Twitter account thinks
Next year can you throw in one 'throwback wildcard' phone like a Galaxy S7 or similar that fits your assumptions? Would be interested to know if the 'best' camera phones of five years ago hold up at all in a blind test.
Yeah so if the tech direction of the channel doesn't work out, he then can focus on daily weather reports. Pew News with Poppy Harlow was quite popular on Pewdipies channel when he wanted to take a break from gaming.
Let me ask you this. When you run out of cereals what do you do? Put some more cereals in another bowl and then pour the remaining milk from the first bowl in the second one? Milk first was, is and will always be the right thing to do. Ever. Unless you don't like it and that is no hay problema mi amor.
KAKAKAKAKAKAK this is wonderful! PRANK! It is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. KAKAKAKAKAKA! But I am happy agayn because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I use them to get views on my videos! KAKAKAKAK!!! Good day, dear deew
the people voting can't see what the scene is supposed to look like, so they just pick the most vividly coloured photo which are also likely the least true to life ones
Excellent venture as always. Got some new insights this year. The illustration of warmness, coolness and saturation during narration by marques was greatly appreciated. Video production of MKBHD is stellar. Kudos to the entire team, not just Marques.
Pixel shines in night mode and true to life photos. In general, like Marques said, people pick brighter ones, which the Pixel is not most of the time. But yea, that made me laugh XD.
@Onouphrios to be fair even with autofocus, sometimes you want to focus on something different completely. But in most cases, as you said, autofocus does a great job with face detection
Autofocus is limited. As mentioned above white balance and exposure plays an important role as well. You wouldn’t want HDR to kick in sometimes or it will look like you’re in wonderland and looking flat. Contrast is preferred to draw attention to your subjects too, don’t let your phone decide how you want your photos to tell your story.
I'd love to see a version of this where there's a separate set of votes made by pro photographers, and at the end of the video, we get to see the differences in what the pros voted for, vs what the public voted for. Think it could lead to some interesting results.
@@sourav7162 I never seen an Asus phone in my life so I don't know a lot about them. I recently switched from iPhone 11 to Note 20 ultra. Apple and Samsung are the top two phone here in the US.
"Do the best you can with what you got; cause at the end of the day, that's what we're all doing" Did my man just turn a smartphone camera competition into a life lesson..
@@raymaster972 Apple didn't price their phones any higher but it's kind of funny how companies like Samsung are now making $1,300 phones and show me which was normally known for mid rangers with really good specs their new OnePlus 8 is 900 $ pineapple stayed pretty constant no hate to android
That's not a blackboard, it's a whiteboard lol - for the other guy. Which IS important! Because you can use Luma Key to take away away the brightest part (the white board) vs. his darker skin tone. It would definitely be a lot less work than greenscreening him in or anything.
First time im saying this, but i cant believe I'm just finding your channel now. Your video's are so interesting to watch, that even for someone like myself who isn't really into phones, makes me want to keep watching. You explain everything so simply, calmly, intelligently, and passionately that it makes me really respect your opinion. The community here is pretty awesome too.
1 bad picture from the 12 pro max doesn’t mean anything. I’ve seen many good iPhone 12 pro max pictures but in this comparison, it looked pretty bad for some reason.
I want to see a blind camera phone test of the last 3-4 years of iphones. See if we can actually pick out the best picture, or if they are just incremental upgrades none of us can actually see once they're compressed.
I still have my note 9 and photo comparisons between the iPhone 11pro aren't all that different given good lighting. These upgrades will mostly be noticeable when zooming in, in low light or in video. That being said, anything the Samsung takes with the in-app camera of Snapchat or Instagram is absolutely horrid in comparison to the iPhone so that's an easy win for Apple lol
It also needs a loser bracket, its beyond not fair to do it this way because for example iPhone could lose to Moto and still beat other cameras to win it all if Moto loses in the winners bracket. Doing it this way is just pure RNG based on against who you end up in the bracket, what if Zenphone was in the other half, would it still get to final?
@@guy5140 Yea, he's not wrong about the way the system is executed. Marques should have based it on a points system. Line up all the phones, and points are rewarded based on how many votes they get on each photo. Elimination system is kinda defeatist, when phone's perform differently under different conditions.
I didn't vote on Twitter or Instagram but these last 3 years, surprisingly without missing, everytime he puts every pics on the screen I always choose the pixel ones, and I don't even use pixel device
not a fair test, because people have night mode (warm tint) on their phones now days. so photo with dull colors look better in warm tint, but the actual good one look worst because increased warm tone.
Conclusion: If you wanna be a social media person clicking pics multiple times a day, iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy Note or OnePlus 8 won't matter that much. Spending $$$ just for the Camera WITHOUT using it's full potential is basically a waste of money unless you edit your images before posting. Somewhere a normal guy with a Zenfone 7 is nailing the social media game 😄
Actually, its impossible to be cool if you are not an iphone user; this is scientifically proven. Having said that, its not possible for someone with a zenfone to be killing it in the social media game.
Honestly, thats his job. And setting up a few scenes, shooting photos and posting them to twitter/instagram is not the most amount of work I have seen in his videos.
Photos are subjective. I knew the iPhone was nowhere near as great as all these 'trying to be on the Apple payroll' (Peter Mckinnon) youtubers were just bias as can be.
@@HDvids101 but how bout video recording tho? for real my old iphone8 has batter white balance and stabilization when recording compared to my oneplus 7pro
they probably do watch these, being humans with time and unlimited champaign and the most expensive gamer swag in taiwan just they probably would have mixed feelings about threading the row of needles to the victory goal on the merits for being boring and vanilla
@@aaronstone6183 they does actually, if Apple does it, then pretty sure Asus does it too, Apple will Blacklist you if you talk shit or critisize them too much like they did to Lew from Unbox Therapy
"Do the best you can with what you've got, because that's what we're all doing at the end of the day." 16:57 That's actually some great general life advice Marques 👏👏
Awesome. Rather than having an experts analyzing too many things. It is practical every day thing. We (regular people) take lots of pictures and never fully get time to "edit" them afterwards, before sending to our friends/family/facebook/instagram. I loved your last comment. As long as you like it, go ahead and post it, since it is going to look different on all kind of devices. And also people are not going to look at it more than may be 10/20 seconds at most.
"Do the best you can with what you've got." Wise words from the Forbes 30 under 30 social media King 👑 Congrats to Marques for the recognition of his hard work.
I think the main thing about the twitter vs instagram saturation divide is features on the app. People on instagram use filters as a must and oversaturate their pictures on a whim, twitter people just upload raw pictures but because they want the pretty vibrant colours they over saturate them by adding an automatic filter. Goes with out saying people like pretty colours
@@MrGameManIsCool excuse me, this is a major fraud in our smartphones. We want all voting to stop, we don’t want them to find any twitter ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning & add them to the list. To me this is a very sad moment, and as far as I know the iPhone already has won
