Sony was basically asking for this. Like a critically acclaimed game that sold over 7 million copies that everyone has been begging to get a remaster...is just collecting dust while TLoU2 gets a remaster 3 1/2 years after release. I hope this gets to a highly playable state before Sony ever releases one so they get the message.

Part of the reason it's been going so fast is that it is partly fueled by spite for a company

The emulation having a memory leak is kinda appropriate, considering Bloodborne itself had pretty serious issues with memory leaks early on.

The speed they're advancing is insane. By the end of the year we gonna have Bloodborne fully playable.

It's amazing to see developers breaking barriers, pushing the limits of what's possible on a daily basis.

The fact that Sony isn't taking down videos about emulating this game shows that they are not working on anything Bloodborne related, and are just gonna let the community bring this game to PC

Truly amazing accomplishments of the devs on this emulator by the community. Though it looks like someone is having an acid trip, I'm glad that it works and it is very promising to see substantial progress in such a short time!

Gamers: We want to give you money for a Bloodborne PC port and remaster! Sony: Fuck off! The Last of Us 2 is getting a remake!

The people who say, "just get a ps4" at this point are being intentionally ignorant. This is the entire point. With the ps5 and series x, plenty of developers release updates for their past generation games, so instead of releasing a whole new game, they release a 60fps or even 4k patch for them, so all you have to do is download it and boom you have your ps4 game running at 60fps on your ps5. Bloodborne seems like the obvious move and people have shown with a modded ps5, this is more than possible to do, but FromSoftware just doesn't seem to feel like it. The game is locked at 30fps even on the ps5, and that feels like a major misstep considering FromSoft will usually remaster, remake, or give newer ports of past games with higher framerate, but suspiciously leaving Bloodborne behind at 30. Is Bloodborne more than playable at 30fps? Absolutely. But it being the only one of their souls games not to have some kind of higher framerate patch or port, just feels really weird. So it comes down to the community at this point. If you won't give us Bloodborne 60+fps, we'll do it ourselves. I'm awful at Souls-likes, but I understand the weirdly missed opportunity FromSoft continues to make here.

The first public release of this emulator came out in October of 2023. Not for Bloodborne, for the emulator itself. That it has come this far in 11 months is fucking insane.

This is soooo amazing. I never played bloodbourne but ALWAYS wanted to, I just couldn't get behind buying a whole console for a single game. At least with this, then I could emulate the game.

Possibly, building a virtual containment that indexes the algorithms and the code routines, based on all the controlled variables being used as a reversible hashing mechanism. So we calculate the index for the reversible hash, after which you can run the entropy and just try a frequency, which should resemble the minimal and RAM to have the code optimized categorically and autonomic for every system with AI interpolating graphics which the hashing mechanism is supposed to be able to guide that virtual container. This way you can guide the virtual container to support graphics and shapes which can be coupled as resources, then they get downloaded from a DB, which just indexes the same types of hashes. The virtual container contains its own hypervisor, so the emulated values are the brand new values as soon as another hash passes the test.

Its really nice to see the community helping like that gives you faith in people who just want to help.

There are 2 possible outcomes, where the players win either way: 1)The emulated version reaches a completed state and is very much playable. 2)Sony does or doesn’t take down the emulated version, and releases an official PC port. Memory leak just got fixed now it’s pretty much playable.

I wonder if the reason this emulator is able to go so fast is because the PS4 uses x86_64. Like, when you think about it, it is kind of like Wine and DXVK, but you need to make sure that the game thinks it is running on a PS4 in theory. I haven't looked much into how emulation works, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are taking advantage of the fact that the PS4 is using x86_64, and that is what computers are using as well.

There has also been a ton of work going into making Rock Band 4 playable, through a combination of improvements to shadPS4 as well as modifying game files themselves to remove assets that cause crashes

Bloodborne and The Order 1886 are the only two games that I want to play on a PS4 emulator.

I have BB on ps5. The 30fps made me sick. I'ts the only game that does that to me. I forced myself until Gascogne but I just could't continue. I was taking copium for so long hoping Sony, FromSoft or even BluePoint release a PS5 upgrade patch or a remaster... I hope I will go back to Yharnam soon to finally finish this masterpiece.

When this gets finished and becomes very popular, Sony will finally take notice and will want to make Bloodborne Remastered as another PS5 exclusive just like Demons Souls. Theyll use that opportunity to get their money back from their biggest failure, Concord. Mark my words.
