Link to download the songs from this is now in the description Also if you're gonna try and get the band themselves to hear this, remember that most of Rivers Cuomo's replies on Twitter are AI-generated by a bot, so it probably won't count Merry Weezemas
Fuck, maybe you could as Shonkey to do it? I’m sure he’d be game, and upload it to RU-vid and try to monetize it, ID BUY THAT ALBUM. Maybe call shonkey, but we’ll all call it “the shonk album”
yeah, weezer would have NEVER released an album where the cover is their members standing on a #189BCC background with the name of the album in all lowercase black text in the top right corner
You can't resist her She's in your bones She's in your marrow And your ride home You can't avoid her She's in the air (in the air) In between molecules Of oxygen and carbon dioxide Only in dreams We see what it means Reach out our hands Hold on to hers But when we wake It's all been erased And so it seems Only in dreams You walk up to her Ask her to dance She says, "hey baby I just might take the chance" You say "it's a good thing That you float in the air That way there's no way I will crush your pretty toenails into a thousand pieces" Only in dreams We see what it means Reach out our hands Hold on to hers But when we wake It's all been erased And so it seems Only in dreams Only in dreams Only in dreams Only in dreams Only in dreams Only in dreams Only in dreams
These guitar parts are absolutely insane! Doing all the noises in The Sweater Song including the skits, guitar feedback and the piano at the end are extremely impressive.
Drummer- Patrick Wilson (similar name) Keyboard Player - Rivers Cuomo(pictures of rivers and Andrew Cuomo, a former governor of New York) Bass Guitar-Matt Sharp(Matt Damon with a symbol of sharp) Guitar-Brian Bell(Brian Griffin from Family Guy with a Bell) By the way, I recommend the OK Computer acapella cover.
My band is doing a Blue Album tribute this year for the 30th anniversary and this is helping with picking out the individual parts. Also the cover made me laugh.
PLEASE do pinkerton next i need to hear el scorcho like this edit: forgot to say this but HUGE kudos making this, i love how you included every small feedback noise and voice crack in river's voice from the original album lol
that rendition of undone - the sweater song was f-ckin amazing i loved that and the voices actually almost sounded just like the original this video is a gift
1. I respond as Jonathan 2. In no other person 3. This planet had spun around and abandoned me at this place 4. Friend mistletoe 5. Stripped down - the woolen coat track 6. Wave ride shave Canada 7. Tell me that it's not what I'm thinking of 8. Around the car parking enclosure 9. The day Jesus was born 10. Found in optical illusions made by the brain during sleep
my favorite album ever getting the shonky treatment? couldn't ask for anything more. this is unreal. the harmonies on holiday are absolutely perfect. and the fading in and out guitars in the existing solely as images created by the mind buildup around the 39 minute mark made my nuggets tingle. can't even imagine the time and effort put into this, where is your donate link??
That riff on Buddy Holly came out absolutely perfect, and I would've stopped the comment there, but then I read the description and laughed even harder lmao, everything about this is pure brilliance, keep on rockin' man
You know what when you do a cover and you get a permission from the songwriters. I'm guessing Rivers Cuomo in this case. Then he will always get the royalties, which is fair, because he wrote the songs .. However, people that do covers get performance royalties. Therefore you should be able to get piece of the cake, mister creator.

I've heard "Demon Days But Everything Is My Voice" so many times that when i unexpectedly heard the actual album I had a solid minute of panic and horror not understanding why it sounded weird and wtf was it about it that i couldn't pinpoint, not realizing that i now had engrained my brain with DDBEIMV and now classified the memory of it as the default album Anyhow cant wait to fry my brain w Weezer since Ive never come across a single weezer song in my regular real life. great stuff
Here for the premiere. I’m just curious, which album so far was the hardest. I’m thinking interpol or okc . I love your series too, I want to appreciate all the effort and joy you’ve brought us with these and how beautiful this masterpiece was.
I don't even know how to answer that question at this point - TOTBL and Blue Album took longer than OKC but I might've just been less busy with non-RU-vid stuff when I did OKC. All I really know is that they were each difficult to make in their own ways
@@shonkywonkydonkey that makes sense, you inspired me to try and do room on fire where i play everything, then i realized i have an acoustic guitar only, no proper recording setup, and no ability to perform solos. anyways, i also wanted to ask if the google drive files are availible?
I have ideas of what to do next but haven't directly settled on anything yet. Suggestions are fine too, can't guarantee that I'll actually take them though lol
Now do the b-sides (Peculiar Spellings of Michael and Carly, Lawyer, Self-owned Evaside, Elongated Susan, Tree Pulp Profile, and Musical Sleep Aide for Wayne.)
My friend just sent me the link to this and I was prepared to be offended because there are no acceptable Weezer covers and she should know that (except perhaps Panic! at the Disco's version of Say It Ain't So, but that one bum note really bums me out). But I listened enraptured to the entire thing. This must have been a labour of love. I admire every moment of this, it's absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
