Let’s go!!! It’s kind of sad that I did marching band last year and I want to do it again but I can’t because of my health. I love music more than anything in the world even though if I have to sit to watch my friends play their instruments while marching I want to be there for everyone in the marching band because I will never give up on Music! I want to become special ,that’s why I play out,that’s why I play the euphonium,that’s why I play every single day!
A show about Romanticism, yet it doesn’t feature music from a single Romantic composer. Where is my Chopin? My Liszt? My Rachmaninoff? And the father of musical Romanticism: Beethoven. Where is he?
Maybe they're talking about different romantic artists from other forms of art? I'm not sure. It would've been wonderful lf they did the romanticism era of music but maybe they're tackling painters or poets? I haven't heard enough to really know.
I don't know if you're really interested, but if you are, I imagine BD likes to be like T-Swift and drop hints for their fans. It's part of the fun of figuring out what the show will be about. The words describe a period on history: "Romanticism was an artistic and intellectual movement that originated in Europe towards the end of the 18th century. During the Age of Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution, Romanticists rejected social conventions in favor of individualism." So there were both words and pictures that hinted at the concepts of the show, along with the music list.
@@tjexplorer They are most certainly the favorites to win it all. Until someone steps up and shows they can "CONSISTENTLY" beat BD, it will stay that way.
Another incredibly boring show that is designed to pop show designers and not the masses, but will max out all the design categories and win the gold because the DCI scoring system is outdated for the direction modern drum corps is going.
I'd totally disagree, Duke. Sure the scoring system, such as many performing arts scoring systems aren't perfect. But the Blue Devils are a multi-world champion corps for a reason. Other corps just need to step up their game if they want to compete.
