I had a blunt a couple of years ago, they are great umbrellas. I was caught in a massive storm in Melbourne one afternoon and when other commuters umbrellas were turning inside out, the blunt held its form perfectly. When you are justling in a crowd of umbrellas, it is such a great idea (yet so simple,) to have blunt umbrella ends and avoid losing an eye. Unfortunately, that umbrella was left on a train, good and bad news I guess. Bad that I am now without a Blunt, good that someone else has a great umbrella, which may save me an eye one day.
Sorry you lost it, however that's a horrible way to rationalise it. At this point, why not lose everything for another's gain, I am sure they would enjoy it!
These umbrellas sound great. I could really use the Blunt Metro, so over having umbrellas that don't last the distance and keep blowing inside out in the wind.
Had my eye on these for a while. I love that they're designed to last - I hate disposable products. My fave would probably be the classic - just big enough for myself, the wife, and the 3yo daughter. I liked the size comparison - very useful. Cheers
Is this available in my country philippines? Or any part in asia? 🤔🙄 If not, how can i buy it here? If it doesn't available? Hope it will available worldwide. Please!🙏 Thank you. 👍✌️
Great video. I've been binging your videos lately as I found you through your Bellroy backpack video (I've owned the Classic Backpack Plus since February now, and I love everything about it). Bellroy just came out with the Premium Edition of the Classic Backpack Second Edition, and I'd love to see you do a review of that. Perhaps even a comparison with the Classic Backpack Plus or all of Bellroy's other bags. Keep up the fantastic videos. Very high quality production!
Ahh shucks man - glad you're enjoying our content! Yes yes yes! We're defs keen to get that in for a review. We're also looking at the other new Bellroy offerings too - but for now we're cooling down just a little bit (from doing like 10 Bellroy videos in a row haha). Stay posted though! - Ed
Hey, thanks for the review. I just picked up one of these for NZ$149 from Farmers Lambton Quay Wellington NZ. I've seen a lot of good reviews and Wellington is the windiest city too.
I loved my Blunt (which i purchased from Rushfaster) until I accidentally left it on the train 😒 i often think how someone would have thought how cool the umbrella is they found.
Like this video from Rushfaster promoting BLUNT umbrellas. I am sick of the dodgy umbrellas around these days. They break - as this video says: planned obsolescence. Was particularly interested in the size comparison. Would love to win any of the BLUNT umbrellas shown. I have purchased from Rushfaster and they really deliver.
I miss my blunt umbrella; my mum trashed it (by slamming it into the boot of a car) and said "it's just an umbrella - I'll buy you another one". She replaced it with a $10 non-Blunt one. I didn't have the heart to tell her how much I invested in a quality umbrella... 💵☔😑
The Blunt umbrella range are good looking but seriously would anybody really spend over $100.00 for such a product. I can understand the looks and the design but it’s an umbrella. For me buying a good golf umbrella that is large strong and is used sparingly costing half the price for me makes sense. Ok it doesn’t fit into my briefcase or backpack but it is designed for what I use it for. I have had the same umbrella for nearly 20 years and have used ini it storms while travelling to and from work never an issue including the day of the great blackout in SA.
I think I have bought 6 of these but none for myself. 4 from Rushfaster and 2 elsewhere. My brother put me onto them as he wanted one for carrying to work in Sydney CBD on the bus. My mother got one with reflective edges. One of my friends children (10 y.o.) got Metros in their favourite colours. Another friend who lives in the UK got a designer version and her 18 y.o. daughter got a Metro for keeping in the back of her new car.
Everyone that walks to work knows that a reliable and classy looking Blunt umbrella is a must for their 'everyday carry' arsenal. The classic would be a perfect choice for me & coupled with a GPS tracker means that your investment remains safe.
I’ve lost count how many years one of these has been on my Christmas wish list. I’m beginning to think I should just bite the bullet and buy it myself but, in the meantime... competition! Woo! 🙏🏻😄
I use the blunt metro, fits in my messenger bag. Really good but it's not magic and won't be very effective against stronger wind/rain. That's the tradeoff for conevience though.
Just got an orange XS Metro for father's day to replace my 6 year old Senz that finally died. Looking forward to another 4-5 years of life from the XS Metro.
This sort of design is a godsend particularly in Melbourne. I think we're all scared of getting our eye poked out by some idiot who is not so self aware. This would be great at my height because being a pint sized human I know that I don't have to walk in fear thinking I'm going to jab someone with the metal sticks on the normal cheap quality umbrellas
I was looking for the blunt umbrella... For everyone else! Tall people woes of being stabbed in the head by golf umbrellas being used by shorter people
What an awesome well informed video I would love to win a Blunt umbrella for my Son it would make me feel good as Dad to know my Boy is carrying a safe umbrella that won't break or hurt him during high wind and rain .
While the design looks sleek & the construction durable I was surprised & rather disappointed by the coverage area. Let's face it that's the primary purpose of an umbrella, to provide a shelter from the rain. Those gentle inward curves rob you of valuable shelter. So on the poor shelter provided & the heavy weight due to the sturdy construction I would not recommend a Blunt Umbrella, they are more suited to a product design gallery.
Hi. Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your insights and will definitely forward them to the Blunt brand for future design improvements. If you have any other thoughts or need further assistance, please let us know. Cheers!
Rushfaster has done it again! Fantastic coverage of what makes Blunt umbrellas unique and one of the only places I've seen the range demonstrated making it super easy to make the right choice. Great review!
I own navy blue XL version and it's on a whole 'nother level in comparison with other umbrellas. Just keep in mind it's heavy in hand even if there's no wind outside. On a bright side I was walking together with my colleague under a heavy rain and not a single drop reached neither of us
I've always found it fascinating that people use umbrellas, when in heavy weather they're absolutely useless (no matter how good the umbrella is). A high quality raincoat will keep you bone dry even in the worst storms.
