@DeMyztikX , after 29 years, yeah, the songs evolve and they don't sound the same as they originally did. In addition, I agree that this video isn't awesome, but it's an amateur video with crappy sound and the blame lays there, not with the musicians. I saw them tonight in Tucson, AZ and they were TREMENDOUSLY fun. FTR, the LIVE Helter Skelter with the new Bob was much more fun even than the rendition on the top 20 album. Some videos/audios stink, but the group is really awesome. See them live.
@DeMyztikX ... they've replaced a couple of members since the original recording of the song, too. The current mix certainly gives it a different feel/vibe.
@ beansterman1998 (and a lot of others too)... To REALLY get the "feel" of these guys you have to go back to before you were even born.. I first heard The Bobs on The Dr. Demento Show on KNAC (Los Angeles) in the mid 80's.. Google/Piratebay/Whatever a song called Spontaneous Human Combustion.. THAT is The Bobs at their best, IMHO...
I have the album version on my mashup "Kitty's Nightmare" it is the better version-I mixed it with The Minutemen's "Fake Contest" -oddly enough it works. How's that for shameless promotion?
