I forgot just how crazy that body scene was because it has been so long. Wow. Watching you guys is a genuine joy.

Season 1 takes place in late 1983. The dress that the boys found for Eleven to wear belonged to Nancy when she was younger. She is 15 ys old here so all her "baby & kids" clothes" were packed away. That's why the boys are digging through storage boxes trying to find stuff for El to wear. That particular style of girls' dresses was very popular in the 1970's when Nancy was around the same age as El is now. I remember having a dress with a similar top - I hated it! It was so dang itchy, I had to wear a T-shirt/tank top underneath otherwise I refused to put it on - LOL. To this day, I still loathe any clothing that has ruffled elastic bands to give it that "stretchy" feel. 🙃

Love your reactions! Just sharing an alternative perspective - I don't think Lucas is particularly angry. He's just scared of El (which is reasonable) and he's one of those kids who thinks he's smarter than the others so he's frustrated that they don't see things in the same way. But ironically, he's probably the most immature when it comes to communicating his thoughts appropriately.

Honestly when I first watched this, while I agreed with you all that it didn't seem like Will was dead, Joyce was giving all the signs of a mother either very upset and in denial or one who actually killed her kid and had a mental break. Talking to lights, saying a body isn't her son, etc. A big city impersonal PD might have actually brought her in for formal questioning.

It's hard to go slow with this show. There are always so many questions hanging there unanswered.
